DONT TAKE YOUR GOWNS HERE!! I have had Pius do pants no problem. However, I think he just doesn't like doing gowns so he overcharges ALOT for them. I went in and had a single layer un-lined dress - easy hem. I honestly could have done it myself Im just lazy. and he quoted me $100 for it. No way man. When I told him my dress wasnt even worth that much he said he would do a special for me and bring it down to $80. I have had a four layer hem done for around that price. not a single layer with no lining. way too expensive. I brought my dress to a tailor down town and it is $35. $65 less than what Pius tried to get my to pay. If you have a dress/gown take it elsewhere

Original: Great customer service and great work. First place I went to after some research and there's no need to look or go somewhere else. They have my business and recommendation. New: Went with 5+ pairs of pants to trim (damn straight I'm getting in shape) Two were stitched poorly I had to return for them to re-do. Loss in 1 star, overall good work + I don't care much about stitching = Would go back but may look for another.

Do NOT take your gowns/dresses here!!! I brought my gown in for it to be hemmed/taken in on the side and was told it would be $290. I took it to another tailor in the area for $100! Always get a second opinion!!

I have been going to Pius for a couple years now and he is outstanding. So far he has done two winter coats for me and a suit and all three have turned out perfect. I highly recommend you stop in and check him out! Not to mention he is a great guy and always funny to talk to you.

I brought my wedding dress to Hanshaw Custom Tailor to have the busy taken in. They convinced me to have it hemmed after saying how horrible I would look and how embarrassed I would be if I didn't. Then, they hemmed my dress completely crooked and didn't have me try it on until the day I asked it to be ready when I told them many times I lived nearby and could come in whenever they needed. She hemmed it again and it was still crooked. So, she asked if I wanted her to fix it and I said no because at this point it had lost substantial length. I would expect any expert tailor to be able to hem a simple straight edge. I was very disappointed in my service, especially being that I was bullied into having my dress hemmed to begin with.

I am very pleased. I have a motorcycle jacket that is about 2 years old. And with age comes wear. The zippers on the jacket were torn and they replaced it in a very reasonable amount of time. I would highly recommend, because they went completely out of their way to help me out. All stars!

This place is amazing!!! I brought in a dress that I had bought online that I didn’t realize had huge slits in the side. I wanted the slits to be tailored to be much smaller, which I knew may be difficult due to the fabric and nature of the dress. I called before I arrived to see the price of hemming and was told $15 a pair. I get there and the darker man working there with curly hair tried to tell me that there was no such thing as no break, medium break, and long break. Instead of being knowledgeable and giving his opinion, all he kept saying "it's whatever you like". He seemed very unhelpful and as if he had no knowledge of his work. After the fitting, I was told $20 a pair mind you I was told $15 on the phone. I didn't even mention it because when a business is shady and changes prices like that, I would rather not do business with them. The location also looked messy and gave off a weird, uncomfortable vibe. I highly recommend Mark Twain Cleaners where hemming is $12 a pair, while also being very friendly and knowledgeable.

New to the neighborhood and had purchased a suit from Combatant Gentleman that needed to be taken in and the pants hemmed. Pius took care of it for me within days! It's the little details, like giving me a bag to carry my dress shoes in after the initial fitting or taking the time to iron out any post-alteration wrinkles. The suit came out wonderfully and right on par to how I wanted it to fit. I'll be bringing back my groom's suit for alterations!

This is a low quality, overpriced tailor. Also, I felt very uncomfortable with the tailor - the space was clearly rather messy and he kept licking his fingers before touching my clothes. I brought in a dress in to have the arms shortened and pants to have them hemmed. In both cases, Pius said they didn't need tailor despite them going past my hands/feet. I got him to pin them up anyways - both cost $20 each for hemming. When I picked them up, the ruffle along the length of the dress's arms had been removed and the pants still don't fit well. My husband also had several pants hemmed here which looked uneven and the hem has come undone on one pair.

This place is very expensive for women's dress alterations and the quality of work does not make up for it. I went in to get a bridesmaids dress hemmed and the straps shortened. He wanted to charge me $185. My entire dress had cost $120. For personal reasons I didn't have time to shop around for other tailors at the time. In the end he ended up charging me $170 (still outrageous). The dress is also a little short and the straps are still a little long. It took about two weeks for the work to be done. I picked the dress up the day before I needed to go out of town, so there's no hope for fixing the straps. Also because the straps are still too long even if they were fixed the dress would then shorten way too much. He didn't account for the strap shortening when adjusting the hem which is why it is too short. I will not come here again due to the outrageous prices, and clear lack of experience with women's tailoring. For reference, other girls in the same wedding with the same dress were only charged $65-$80 for their alterations.
