Last year my daughter needed alterations on a bridesmaids dress... we went elsewhere where they really messed it up!!! The other location took weeks. My daughter received it back 4 days before the wedding to find the other location took it in in the wrong places. Desperate, we called George’s, not only did they stay open later to accommodate us, they did a lovely job and in a rush! My daughter’s dress was fixed where we thought it unfixable. Thank you! Had two dresses worked on for my brother's wedding; fixed the straps so they fit my bust better and shortened the dresses because they were too long and I'm petite. They did a great job and the dresses definitely looked and fit better. I recommend them.

I needed a zipper repair. Had no idea where to go, how much it would cost or if I would need to leave my coat. I wandered in, then back out 15 minutes later perfectly happy with the immediate service from these pleasant ladies. Zipper is perfect!

The quality of the tailoring here is excellent. They did a really good job "modernizing" an old pair of suit pants to bring the fit up to date, which struck me as not a trivial job. I'm docking one star for being a little loose on price. The work ended up costing more than suggested up front. In the end, the work was worth the price, but they could do a bit better on that end. Still, will definitely take my next tailoring job here.

Went to George's to get a suit jacket taken in on the side seams and taken in along the sleeves. The woman who pinned it was fast and professional, and George was done within a couple of days. Fast and good.

I had good experiences here until they ruined my $170 dress and charged me $85 for it. I called at 4:30 to see if my dress was ready. It wasn't. They called me back at 6 to tell me (after having it for 5 days) that they *just* found a hole right on the front of it. When I got to the store I realized the "hole" was actually a small v-shaped scissor cut in the middle of the dress. There's no way I would have missed it on the hanger or the 3 times I tried it on. They repeatedly told me I brought it in with the scissor cut and also told me I should return it and get my money back. Because I guess the retailer should take responsibility for their error? I understand that mistakes happen. If they had taken just a fraction of the responsibility I would not have posted this negative review. But now I’m out $250 and the event is 48 hours away. Very frustrating experience. Also, I agree with the person who said the prices are made up! This was easily triple the price I paid any other year. I had been a customer there 4 years at least.

They tailored my wedding dress. I asked for the extra fabric back that they cut off when I dropped the dress off. and when i went to pick up my dress (late, by the way) they had thrown away the extra fabric. I was going to use the lace for my veil and I was very disappointed.

The actual tailoring is very solid. However, beware - they only take cash or check and pricing is subjective and likely to change. Couldn't find my checkbook to pay, called ahead was told my ticket was $55, sent my daughter with that amount. She walked out having to pay $85.
