Recently to a pair of paints to be hemmed and when I went to pick them up I noticed a stain. They tried to get it out while I waited, no luck. They asked if they could get them dry cleaned, and if I could come back in 2 days...still not happy with the results, Anna offer to replace them without question. When I returned with the replacement pants, she handed me a check for the full price, and then converted the stained pants into shorts. She took very professional approach and handled this issue with class. I would recommend her highly, yes not the cheapest, but when you expect quality this is the place to go.

The owner, Anna, is the tailor. She does the measure and the tailoring. Her prices are fair and she gets it done on time. I like nice clothing and have patronized the top men's shops in greater Des Moines for 40 years (Reichardt's- Mr B - Badowers - Von Maur -Younkers (back in the day). Have used several tailors around town too. Anna is one of the finest tailors that I have ever worked with. Having just have lost substantial weight and down a couple sizes, I was concerned that I'd be out BIG money on my wardrobe. She did some amazing tailoring to help me save some items that I thought could not be tailored. I started with a few items and kept taking things to her as she made everything fit well again.

Great experience with Anna's. Dropped off a pair of suit pants that needed shortening the day before leaving for a wedding. Had them ready on very short notice. Would definitely recommend her to any procrastinators like myself.

Has done great work on my clothes in the past. However, last job was three weeks past completion date, and workmanship was poor and had to be redone elsewhere. She still charged me $75.00. Money not well spent.

We thought this would be a great place to get our pants hemmed based on google reviews. WRONG. Anna seemed like an amiable person who likes to chit chat a lot. However, when we asked for the price we were charged $16 per pants (which just required trimming at the end). Clearly upset, she told us she'd give us a discount. When we arrived four days later (at HER request because she was busy) she tried to charge us $17.50 per pants! We were outraged but she would only lowered the price to $15. Do not go to this place...she will try to con you for your money or ask the price in advance and make sure to remember that price when you do pay.

Took a winter jacket in to have the zipper replaced. She said it would take 10 days. After 3 weeks and no call I stopped in. She said she had just received the zipper. She finally finished it 3 weeks later. So it took 6 weeks and i didn’t have my favorite coat for the first half of winter.

This lady is nice but very unorganized.. We brought 3 bridesmaid dresses to her and when we went back she had completely mixed them all up. I honestly don't even think she did anything to them. They were not ready when they were promised and almost not ready in time for the wedding.. HORRIBLE JOB and gets very rude if you question her... WOULD NEVER GO BACK AND WOULD NOT REFER ANYONE TO HER.........

Paid $20 to sew on 3 patches that already were ironed on. I just needed them secured with stitching. I thought that was a little pricey but the real issue is that she sewed right through to the other side of the sleeve! What a rookie mistake. I never even noticed it until I got home 25 mins away and then they were closed for several days due to the holiday and when I went back she barely whispered a sorry, fixed it then handed it back and just walked away. I'll never come here again. What a hassle! Pictures and receipt posted with this review.

I also don't know what the other reviewer is talking about either. I have had a number of alterations completed at this location and she does phenomenal work!!! I've had her alter suit jackets, pants, replace zippers, and completely replace leather sleeves on a coat just last month!! I wouldn't trust anyone else!!

Anna is awesome! She measures you quickly and delivers on time. In addition to having a bridesmaid's dress and several pants altered, I also had some curtains done because I moved, and they were too long for my new window. :). I highly recommend her!

I asked for it to be done way tighter than she pinned it and she didn't, it was not what I wanted at all, I paid 110 dollars for absolutely nothing. My sisters wedding is the day after tomorrow she said she did perfect work. Well I'm sorry lady, but to me, perfect work is when the paying customer is satisfied with the work. Now I'm going to have to wear a loose fitting bridesmaid dress to my little sisters wedding! Awesome I'll look great in front of family and friends I haven't seen in years! DO NOT GO HERE. Anna has moved to KIM'S TAILORS at Valley West Mall. The new owner is rude, unprofessional and does not do NEAR the quality work Anna did. Go see Anna Valley West Mall!!!!!

Have been here several times for mending pants. Always have great service and my items are completed at the stated time. Have yet to have any issues with the work done on my garments

If I give her 0 stars I would! I brought a bridesmaid dress to her for minimal alterations and she had it for 4 weeks! She never called with a price. After 3 weeks I called and she still hadn't touched my dress! She said she would call me with a price yet again and she never did! When I went to pick it up she charged me $180 for these alterations. I only paid $140 for the dress itself! DO NOT GO TO ANNA'S! If you ask her anything she immediately gets rude and will yell at you and hang up the phone! AGAIN, DO NOT GO TO ANNA'S!

I am not sure what the other reviewer is talking about. Anna is still here at this location and has been for the last 15 years. Excellent work. I have had a swimsuit and dress altered here and both were done exceptionally well!

This is the best alteration shop in Kansas City, hands down. I have had many items altered here including swimming suits, jeans, dresses, jackets, formal gowns, even my daughter's baptismal gown...and she has done some items the same day!!! I will never use another tailor. Best of the best!!

I took 3 pairs of trousers in to be altered. The workmanship was fine but they were all hemmed too short and one more so than the other 2. I wouldnt have minded so much but she took the measurements. Her idea of where a hem should sit is above the shoe rather than material resting on the shoe.

I've taken lots of items to Anna including a wool pea coat, men's swimming trunks, bridesmaid dresses (and one dress was for when I was pregnant and in my third trimester), pants, and jeans. I've been very pleased with all of Anna's work. Her prices are fair (in my opinion) and she always meets my timing needs.
