Yikes! This is the worst alteration job I have seen. I would have been better off doing myself. Looks like they were having a hard time with their machine because the thread is noticeable in spots and sagging and there is one part that is puckered and another that is not even. So disappointed because I have only heard great things about this shop.

The owner's young daughter was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor which is why they can't afford to accept credit cards anymore. They accept cash or check. And for Sheila, they're Cambodian refugees.

Needed a small belt for a costume to be sewn together/made . Other tailors kept saying they only did alterations. Aw Sew did a nice job of it for me!

I needed alterations (basically tear apart the pants and customize them to my size) on pants I was going to wear at a wedding. I needed them in 2 days. Dropped them off the day before Thanksgiving and they were done the day after Thanksgiving. I called 6 other tailors and none of them could finish the work within 1 week. I paid with a Visa card-someone mentioned they only take cash. Great service at a good price!

Had 2 zippers replaced at different times on the same jacket. One was the complete front zipper, the other was a small inside pocket zipper. Work was exceptional, on time, and reasonable. Much prefer dealing with and supporting small local businesses to big name retail stores.

The 2 Chinese women that run Ah Sew are running quite the racket. They take only Cash up front before they do any work on your garment. Then they don’t do the alterations that are necessary and promised. When you pick up your order it will look like nothing was done. They actually say “Yes it is not done correctly” but No Refunds! We happily take Cash up front and do Nothing for it! BBB notified and IRS for all that Cash! Stay Away from these scam artists.

Went in to get a zipper replaced on a toddler sleepsack. They did a very nice job and in a reasonable time. The price was higher than what I expected, but still seemed fair. I had to pay for the work upfront, which was fine.

My girlfriend brought her dress in for tailoring on Aug. 25th. The dress was supposed to be finished by Sep. 14th. She came in on the 15th to pick it up and it wasn't done. Frustrated, my girlfriend said that it was no big deal and that she will pick it up later. She gave me the ticket to pick up today (Sep. 19th) and it wasn't even worked on! Of course, I didn't find out until much later in the day. This is just simply unacceptable considering the wedding she will be attending is only days away!
