My Dress Ruined My Son's Wedding For Me 1. It was incredibly hard and frustrating to get in contact with Michelle by email and phone. 2. When I first contacted Michelle I only had 2 weeks before my son's wedding. In my email to her I gave a very in-depth description of what I needed to be done. She gave me an appt. one week before the wedding then after pinning the dress she tells me she is going away and won't be back until right before the wedding. I couldn't take the dress elsewhere because I didn't know where to take it. I kept waiting to hear from her and finally I started to call and email her as to when I could pick up the dress. The wedding was Friday, the rehearsal dinner Thursday evening and Wednesday night she emails me that they are driving home from NC. 3. She brought the dress to the rehearsal dinner so I didn't have a chance to try it on. The day of the wedding I put the dress on and it doesn't fit properly. Instead of removing the built-in bra and boning she talked me into leaving it in and wearing a padded bra to fill up the bra. The bodice was taken up at the shoulders to raise the waist, neckline and bust line. The armholes were too tight and cut into me the whole day. I am recovering from knee surgery so I had to sit a lot, the bust in the dress rode up over my own bust and bunched at my neck. I was self conscious and so uncomfortable that instead of enjoying my son's special day I couldn't wait to get home and get the dress off... the day was ruined.

So i ordered a beautiful dress from amazon for my senior prom, and when i received it, it was HUGE on me. 3 other places turned me away saying they couldn't do it for less than $500. Then our last hope was Michelle and she was AMAZING. SO KIND. SO SWEET, AMAZING SERVICE. She took on a GIANT challenge and did my dress for $150, and the day I picked it up, she made me a sash for my waist and she offered to help dazzle me up with jewelry and she was just amazing. I went with Michelle Rene to have alterations done to my wedding dress. While I thought Michelle was lovely and the alterations were well-priced, it was incredibly hard to get contact with her. Schedule appointments was challenging. Sadly, this included the weeks leading up to my wedding, when we were supposed to schedule a final fitting and steam. She never got back to me. While I recommend her for the work itself, the lack of communication was frustrating, and I can confidently say that this undue stress is not what any bride wants or needs the week before their wedding.

Michelle Rene did absolutely wonderful work on my wedding dress. She not only hemmed it beautifully, but she also took in the lace top and did a bustle that everyone was in awe of. She is extremely fun to work with, listens to any requests you may have, as well as has an unbelievable eye for what she does. Seamless work!!

Michelle did a great job on my dress! Which needed hemmed, about 2 ft taken off after I took out the pin-ups myself, rainbow tulle insert created and sown in. She also steamed the dress, veil and my wife's shirt, jacket, pants and tie, along with my mom's dress. All for a very reasonable price. She worked with us when it came to scheduling appointments as our schedule was mainly evenings and weekends available. We won photography and she is steaming and cleaning our clothes again for the photos since our wedding was on the beach. Michelle was great not only will we look to her for another on the needs, we highly recommend her services.

I wanted so badly to write a good review but I just can't. Michelle as a person is kind, but her work is another thing. She seems to be taking on too many people at one time and then lacking in communication and work. I understand that my dress had to be taken in a good amount but Michelle had my dress from June til literally the day BEFORE my wedding. I went to meet with her at Lancaster Marriot where she did measurements. I had to wait almost 20 mins after my appointment because she booked too many clients close together. She never gave any invoice or receipt or anything. I missed an appointment due to having my days incorrect and text her the day i thought it was and she stated "i was wondering what happened to you i was just getting ready to text you." Instead of her checking to see where i was when i missed my appointment she never said anything to me til the day i text her asking for her address as i was to meet her at her home for the next fitting. This just shows how unorganized she is. She then instead of squeezing me in had me wait entire week for my next fitting. When I went into this fitting i put my dress on and she asked how it was. The breast area on my dress was all buckled up! I expressed my concern she then put another pad insert on top of it and pulled it tight to fit it. After I left that fitting she text me saying " did we double cup your dress! oh my ". Which this concerned me as she is the seamstress and clearly wasn't paying attention to what she was doing. She also gave me cutlets to attach in the dress with tape. I went to pick my dress up thinking it was my final fitting Tuesday before my wedding. When I went to the final fitting she whispered to me that she needed to fix the breast area still and I would have to come back on Friday to get my dress. THE DAY BEFORE MY WEDDING!!!! When i arrived to get my dress on Friday it was zipped up and she was expecting me to just take it and leave. I expressed that i wanted to try it on. So I put the dress on. I kept adjusting the straps as they kept falling down she told me to quit messing with them. She told me when i walk in the dress to not look at my feet when i walk. The dress clearly was a little long. I left because there wasn't much i could do at this point. I should've backed out and found another seamstress but was too nervous to start over. On my wedding day I could barely walk in my dress down the aisle because of the length regardless if I was "looking at my feet". The entire evening I had to keep pulling my dress up. The cutlets she gave me that were attached by sticky tape fell out and down all night long to the point where I was losing them inside my Gown. ALL in all -- i would NOT recommend Michelle. Please take your money and yourself to someone else. This is your special day! I read her reviews thinking it was a good idea but it wasn't. She even had a bad review literally days before my last fitting and I should've listened to her's.

I would recommend Michelle Rene to any customer in a heartbeat! She was so pleasant, listened to my concerns, and calmed my nerves about my wedding dress alterations. She made herself available in Lancaster City, even though this is not her primary location. During my final fitting, she even sent recommendations to one of my bridesmaids about quick DIY dress fixes in case of a wedding-day emergency! Her prices are very reasonable, and she never caught me off guard with unannounced up-charges or fees! It was a pleasure to be a customer of Michelle Rene! <3

Michelle Rene' Designs and Wedding Gown Alterations is horrible. She ruined my wedding dress. She cut my hem from the top instead of bottom. She cut all 7 layers of my dress while on me. Leaving it crooked and uneven. She made my straps uneven. I paid her a $200 deposit. After leaving in tears from her destroying my dress she refunded me $100. She then stated she would return the remaining $100.00 she owes me. That was on August 22nd but now she does not respond to text, email, or fb messages. Please be warned and aware do not utilize her services. Please be very careful. I don't want another bride to go through this nightmare.

First of all, finding Michelle Rene was fate! She really is a #fabricfairy! I was an Alfred Angelo bride who actually got my dress back after weeks of batteling with Alfred Angelo corporate and lawyers! I did have a back up from Davids Bridal because I had throught I was never going to see my dream dress again! When I finally got my dress back, 2 days before my wedding.... it didn't fit. It was fitted to a size 4. I was devastated! The dress was originally fitted for me, a size 6 and it was to be hemmed to fit me at 5'3". I was referred to Michelle Rene by a colleague and I am forever grateful! In less than 24 hours she completely transformed my mess back into my dream dress! When I arrived to pick her up, she had everything hanging up beautifully and steamed for me. Her compassion and hard work shows in every detail. I will only use Michelle Rene for alterations and highly recommend her services. She is flexible and accommodating. She makes you feel right at home. Her prices are fair and her work is outstanding. I am having her preserve both of my dresses and one day soon I hope she will transform one of my dresses into a anniversary cocktail dress and make keepsakes for babies to come! Michelle Rene is a true artist and a gem! I am so thankful!
