May is the sweetest and most professional tailor I have ever had the pleasure to work with. I had an emergency; my best friends wedding was days away and my bridesmaids dress was way too big (I bought the dress in the winter when I had some extra weight on me). A good friend of mine recommended her and I am so glad she did! If you want to make sure your in good hands, highly recommend Mays!

I have used both Tailors on Aberdeen and have found May's work to be superior. She is very detailed orientated. May has been able to alter two of my suits in a manner that transformed them into a more contemporary look. I noticed there was one negative review for May and have to admit I am very sceptical of it's authenticity. I would venture a guess her competition next door is feeling threatened.

I brought my suit to May's tailoring to be alter for my niece wedding. I made a mistake. The lady works there made my suit look terrible and she blamed it on my body. If the rating has anything less than 1 star i will give it. If you need work on your clothes do not make mistake like i did.

I had my bridesmaids dress altered here last December and may was nice enough on the first visit. Quoted me a 3 WEEK turnaround for a hem on the dress and though I was surprised I didn't say anything because I had a week buffer to spare till the wedding. I called the day before the deadline to inquire if it was ready and she hadn't even started it yet! When I asked her to confirm the price on the phone she quoted me $90 and I was very upset because that was way more than expected for a gem! Turns out she had added extra tasks that I did NOT ask her for (adding a hook for the zipper and pressing the dress). It's a good thing I called to check because otherwise she would have charged me for that too! It ended up being $60 for a hem 3 weeks later and my sister got her same dress done at the local cleaners for $35 and a 3 day turnaround. I'll be going there next time. Oh and she doesn't take any form of digital payment, and there is no sign or indication anywhere in the process indicating that was the case.

Friends, I was advised that a kerfuffle between two dueling tailor establishments lit up the Google presence of Wayne, Pennsylvania. Upon review, my understanding of this tussle is as such: 1. The owner of the Tailor Shop has, allegedly, engaged in behaviors that besmirch the name of May's Tailoring. Young Kim, who appears to be an adherent of the cult of May's Tailoring, has lead a charge against The Tailor Shop. Other individuals have piled on - causing the Tailor Shop to have a lower (but still respectable) 4-star rating. 2. After the alleged bad review, both establishments have received a series of endorsements or rebukes. Common themes have emerged. In a 4 year old comment, Jane Hagy (Team May) summed up the general sentiment by insinuating that The Tailor Shop engaged in low-ball harassment of May's Tailoring. At the same time, reviews on May's Tailoring have either praised her as an "expert," or bemoaned her lack of quality as it pertains to wedding-related garments. All of this has created a blood-feud that runs as deep as a SEPTA "trolley" after it gets through far west Philly. I earnestly, earnestly pray for reconciliation between these two warring factions. May is delightful! I went in with a shirt needing a fix. She is so proud of her family that i was there longer than expected but happy to talk. After thouroughly going over what my job was, we chatted about her family and kids, all RHS grads, and what great things they are up to. So far, my experience is May is professional, local, and Radnor proud! Two thumbs up.....so far.

I am astonished by a bad review of May Kim's work and must wonder what the motive might be for the unkind words in one review. I know there is real competition from other tailors in the area, but honesty is important. May has been tailoring for me for at least 20 years and my experience each and every time has been wonderful. Besides skill, this is a very reliable and kind lady. Very upset and disappointed by my experience with May's Tailoring. I wish that I had read the two most recent reviews prior to coming here, however, they were posted after I dropped off my dress. I needed a very simple 2 inch hem at the bottom of my chiffon bridesmaid dress. I asked her about pricing and timeline for completion, to which her response was "I'll call you, I'm very busy" and pushed me out of her store. The reviewer below who mentioned she rushes you out the door without giving an exact price is 100% correct. Several weeks later, she called me to come pick up my dress. To my complete shock, the charge was $190, for a straight hem!! There were no other alterations necessary. The other bridesmaids in the bridal party gotten their hems done for the same exact dress for around $45. I tried to explain to her that the dress wasn't even worth that much, and that she should have explained how expensive it would be when I dropped it off. It is completely implausible and unfathomable that it could possible warrant that price. I asked her how we could meet in the middle but she refused to work with me on the outrageous price.

USING MAY WAS THE BEST DECISION I EVER COULD HAVE MADE!!! I have lived on the Main Line for 26 years and I can honestly say that I have never had a more wonderful experience with a local vendor! I chose May Kim over other tailors to alter both my daughter's bridesmaid dress and my mother of the bride gown for my oldest daughter's upcoming wedding. The only thing that outshines May's tailoring talent is her warm welcoming smile and kind spirit! I will never use another tailor and will DEFINITELY refer her to all my friends and family! May is a superstar who deserves 100 stars!!!

May is an exceptional tailor, who obviously threatens her neighbor who is also a tailor. The next door tailor Gaing, Tailor Shop has bought space with Google and intentionally is posting negative reviews where she can. Her google name is Thao Le. Shame on YOU Gaing.

May's Tailoring (May Kim) is simply peerless in her talent, timeliness, and attention to every detail. Today as I trusted her with 10 critical wardrobe items, I became aware of the next door "tailor's" underhanded attempted to usurp Miss May's decades of achievement and accolades from Main Line Today's rankings and even criminal theft. Miss May would shine on her own, and does so in the face of a spiteful, competitive neighbor, apparently. I recommend Miss May over any tailor within 20 miles! You will find her skill to "suit" your precise shape and size every time!
