I have never been more impressed by a tailor! I purchases a custom suit from Eugene and found his craftsmanship to be unmatched. The suit is high quality, high detail, and amazing materials. The fit is perfect and I could not be more satisfied. I highly recommend Eugene's tailor shop.

I am extremely displeased with Eugene's tailor shop. The tailor was the most disrespectful person I have ever met and I have worked in customer service my entire life, believe me I've dealt with some EXTREMELY rude people, but none as rude as him. He was cold upon approach, and proceeded to say condescending comments to me the entire duration of the fitting. I am not sure if he is rude to all of his customers or if he discriminated against me specifically because I am 20 years old, most likely younger than most of his clientele. Nonetheless, I would NOT recommend this tailor shop. A tailor is supposed to be good at his/her craft, but should treat ALL of his/her customers with respect. However, the woman who works there is a total sweetheart and extremely personable, I wish I could say the same about the tailor.

'The Best' means different things to different people, and is more often a claim way over-used. When I say Eugene is a top men's tailor - not just in Philadelphia, but to rival NYC, London, S'pore - I mean in terms of 1) Craftsmanship: They're beyond nice stitching on lapels, good construction at the shoulders. We're talking another level. My first suit order was a 3 piece in plaid. Not only did stripes completely match on the jacket itself (at the lapel seam, the back collar, sleeve to torso, the pockets), but also from jacket to vest to pants - front and back! Like one seamless work of art. No other tailor, including the reputable names in NYC, were willing to guarantee this for me. Gene did, and he delivered. 2) Good business. All work done in-house, producing unmatched quality and coordination. This is in direct contrast to almost all other tailors today, who outsource and act as just a store front. Fewer hands making the different parts of the suit, the better; preferably just the left and right together, if you think about it. =) That's why only Gene could produce that matching plaid suit for me. They're one of the last to keep the traditional business model going, and their distinct results show it. Kudos for that. 3) Accountability and Timeliness: I know exactly where my suit and material are located. No shell game of different locations, the worst being overseas, and shops going bust. They keep to their delivery date, which I think is a good part due to their production being in-house. 4) Professionalism: I really feel their passion in what they do, and how they strive to be the best. They seem to enjoy challenging projects, to showcase their talent. As for price, you get what you pay for. I can say they work hard and diligent for the money: meticulous initial measurements, including sketching of the suit. Three fittings total for my plaid suit, just to get all the stripes to match.

I like a classic look, but I don’t want anything too flashy. So, I tried to find clothes that would fit those criteria, yet I couldn’t find anything anywhere. I searched online and found Eugene’s Tailor Shop. They helped me create a look that I liked and the way I liked it. Thank you for the personal approach and creativity.

I had a custom suit made and it was wonderful. Eugene and his staff are professional and reliable. Yes, I could pay less 'off the rack'; but the feeling I get when I wear this custom suit is worth the extra cost. My wife buys very high'end outfits and only trusts Eugene with the alterations. I have been going to Eugene for the last several years for alterations on blazers and suits. I am always very pleased with his work. One thing I appreciate is that Eugene doesn't pull any punches and I find that refreshing. He is not going to make any false promises or tell you what you want to hear for the sake of making you happy. He tells you exactly what you have when you come in. He tells you what he can and cannot do for you. And he has always delivered as promised. I previously purchased a suit from Brooks Brothers for my wedding. I brought it into Eugene. He told me that I should return the suit, but it was too late for that. So, he outlined a full plan for remaking my suit to give me the look I was going for. He took my suit completely apart and reworked the whole thing. I couldn't have been happier with the final product. I put that suit on and felt like a million dollars. I was repeatedly complimented during my wedding as to how great my suit looked. Thanks Eugene!
