Armen is the best!!! I didn't know of anyone who could tailor a leather jacket but not only can Armen do it, he does an amazing job!!! I purchased a custom made leather jacket online that I loved, but it wasn't tapered the way my old faux leather one was. Armen fitted it perfectly! And it was done in only two weeks! I am thrilled to have a real leather jacket that fits me perfectly. Can't recommend enough!

My experience was not so good. Armen does not listen. We got 13 suits. Told we wanted cuffs, no cuffs. 4 suits the pants were too tight in the thigh (like skinny jeans), 1 couldn't even button the pants. Ordered suit with arms too short. Very disappointed. This man took all the measurements so I don't understand why this happened. No material in pants to take thighs out. Would not recommend him

Armen does an amazing job making things look exactly how you want!!! He also has an insane amount of amazing suits to purchase that will make you look like a super hero!! I bought a blazer that was way to big for me because it was on a crazy close out sale. He somehow made it fit and it looks fantastic!!

I have had items altered here before, and was happy with the results, but recently feel the prices have increased significantly. I brought in five items to be altered: two pairs of pants, a pants suit, and a dress. This cost $101.00, I thought steep but I know the work is good. When I came to pick up my clothing, I was told I owe $18.00 because he miss counted and didn't charge me for a pair of pants. When I inquired, three pairs of pants cost $53.00 (this is slightly less than $18.00 a pair); $30.00 to have sleeves shortened a quarter inch on each arm; and $35.00 for a dress with lining. So if you are comfortable with these amounts then use Armen, he does do good work, but if you want to be charged more reasonably and have the same results, go to another small business owner - your drycleaner.

I can't believe anyone would leave less than a 5-star review for such an excellent craftsman. His selection of name brand suits was the best in Philly short of Barney's at half the price. His personal brand of handmade suits was also spectacular. Brought him an Ermenegildo Zegna that I bought elsewhere for him to tailor for me. Later I sat on a sharp chair that ripped a hole in the pants, and he fixed it for free. Great guy, superior tailor, fair pricing. Would (and do) highly recommend.

I went to Armen for the first time because I had a pair of expensive new jeans I needed hemmed. His reviews sounded good and he was local. When I went to pick them up they were clearly uneven. He got very defensive, did not apologize and said he would fix them. When I returned a week later they were still uneven, but he tried to talk me into them being ok. He said he couldn't make them perfect?? If I bring you in a pair of "perfect" $200 jeans to be hemmed I expect to get them back that way! If he had a better attitude I might be able to overlook his lack of skills, but not the case. I later found out a friend of mine had had a similar experience with him and no longer uses his services. Find somewhere else.

If you're tired of looking like you're wearing your grandfather's suit, then Armen is the guy to see. I've been to his shop several times for different occasions and recommend him highly. I once brought in a cheap, poorly cut, blocky Macy's suit I had to wear as a groomsmen, and with his tailoring, it became nice, form fitting, and stylish. Ever since that first trip, I don't bother looking elsewhere when I need new formal wear. He has quality inventory that tends to require minimal modifications (at least for me) and when tailoring is needed, it looks superb and holds up. Give him your budget and the color you're looking for and he'll set you up with something nice at a fair price. He's a friendly guy who seems to genuinely care about doing right by his customer. I'm always glad to give business to someone like that.

This was my first time buying a suit from a tailor directly. I took a look at a few places in center city and on the mainline, but felt most comfortable with Armen. He had a large selection of suits which I did not see at some of the other tailors. I'm really happy with the suit that he suggested and tailored for an upcoming wedding. I might even bring my existing suit in for an alteration to see what he can do!

I had been looking for a white dress to wear to my Bridal Shower for weeks. Finally, I found one I LOVED, but the dress only came in a size medium and I was afraid the dress would be too small, yet I ordered to anyway. Worried when I could not even get the dress to zip, I took it to Armen to see if he could tailor it to fit me. He assured me he could, told me where to buy the fabric I would need to add to the dress, and reassured me that he and his magic would do the rest...and let me tell you this man worked his magic. This review is a bit late considering I got all the work done in November, but you know what they say, the only people that write a review are the ones with really good experiences or really bad ones. Since mine's was really good, I felt the need to say so publicly. I'm an amateur designer so I'm used to working with tailors in various countries. As such, it's pretty difficult to find a good tailor that listens to what you want and does good work. Armen is very good at what he does, helpful and nice. I got 7 clothing articles altered, and they all looked how I wanted afterwards. Some of them that was the 3rd time and tailor I had taken them to so I was glad to not have to take them to another tailor. I also bought a tuxedo from Armen for a military event abroad. He was able to take a jacket from one set and pants from another and alter them both to fit my body, and at a great price so that I save money in the long run. Rarely do I spend so much money on one tailor because finding a good tailor is difficult and a personal choice, but I felt comfortable with Armen and for all the work I had done, the pricing was very good. Not to mention he let me know all the pricing beforehand since I'm a student and I could decide if it was worth putting the money into. All-in-All, I'm glad that I have officially found my tailor (at least in the U.S.).

Armen is not only a great tailor, but so quickly I gained a friendship. Since the first time I stepped into his shop I felt comfortable, respected, and I recieved great service. Ive had him tailor suits I bought other places and they all look amazing. Even better though are the suits and jackets I purchased from his selection in the shop. Once Armen pulls a perfectly fitting jacket off the rack and you look in the mirror, its game over. You have to buy it, because you cannot put a price on the fit and quality. Armen is not only the best tailor I've ever been too, but an honest guy that goes out of his way to help his customers. Below are a few examples: 1. I needed a suite tailored for a wedding in two days. He worked hard to get it done for me! 2. If I'm not satisfied with his work (which is very very rare), he fixes it for free. In fact, he kept fixing it free-of-charge until it was to my exact liking. 3. I work late hours and a lot of times can't get to his store until 5 minutes after his store closes. However, if I call, he'll wait for me every time! I even was once 15 minutes late and he was still there. 4. He gave me an Italian dress shirt once, as a gift because I brought him so much business (he fixed all my clothes!). I highly recommend Armen. In fact, I referred a friend to Armen once, and this friend has now moved out of Philadelphia. To this day, if my friend's clothes ever need alterations, he travels all the way back to Philadelphia, to Armen's store. They day I move from Philly, I'll probably do the same!

My son decided at the last minute that he wanted to attend his prom. We went to Armen, and I'm so glad we did! He stocks beautiful tuxes and suits in a range of prices and, with his expert advise, my son found just what he was looking for. Then, in just a few days, Armen tailored it perfectly. My son felt and looked amazing. Overall, the experience could not have been better. Armen gave us his full attention and care despite the fact that the shop was very busy, he was sensitive to our price range, he charged less than he could have for the alterations, and he finished the tux on time. He even gave my son a free tie as a gift. Armen is the best!
