I had my wedding dress tailored here. Amy was nice. However whenever I asked for a change, she ALWAYS said “leave it alone, it’s fine”. I asked her to put cups in my dress and she told me to get a strapless bra. My dress was ill fitting on the top and instead of taking it in, she told me to stitch the front of the dress to the bra to stop the large gap of fabric from gaping forward . The difficult part was that I don’t know if she didn’t want to do the work, or if she just didn’t know how to do it. I’m not the smallest girl but every time I asked her to take in the extra 2+ inches of fabric of the top she said I needed it because “I was a big girl”. She also offered unsolicited opinions on my dress. I had a short slit in the front of my dress since the top was conservative and she said I shouldn’t have the slit and how brides typically want to look more mature, not younger like I was apparently trying to look like. She also said skinnier is sexier and without prompting, told me how to stand And how to work with my veil to look skinnier. I was pretty appalled but because there was only a month until my wedding I didn’t think I would have the time to go anywhere else. Fortunately I had bought a wedding dress I was planning on wearing to the reception that I ended up using for the whole day. There was no way I could wear this dress on my wedding day. I was so disappointed because I went to her for her good reviews but I would NOT recommend her for wedding dresses or anyone plus size. I’m sure she does great work in other areas.
