This tailor is great. I've taken a number of dresses to him and he has done a great job with all my alterations. Also last August we took my husbands wedding suit to him two days before the wedding because of last minute alteration. Because of the circumstances he was able to fix the suit by the next day. Truly a lifesaver.

Went in for a consultation because my normal go-to tailor is on vacation in his home country til August. Thought I’d give this guy a shot in the meantime because I really needed my suit tailored. Not only did he tell me he can’t tailor anything because I wasn’t fully dressed to the nines for measurements, but he told me the alterations I needed (lapels laying flat on chest instead of popping & a pair of pants hemmed) were IMPOSSIBLE. My go-to tailor and I have been working the suits I buy the same way EVERY TIME on numerous occasions as I buy my suits all the same exact size from the same exact brand because I KNOW they can be altered PERFECTLY everytime. Low and behold, I waited for my tailor to get back from his vacation and he tailored my “impossible” suit to perfection!!! The Neirman tailor doesn’t have a clue what’s going on as my tailor hemmed the pants beautifully with a perfect break sitting slightly above my the shoe and he altered the jacket to sit beautifully flat on my chest, as a sport coat should. Make the trip out to Gus in Hartford’s it’s a hell of a ride, yes...but you’re going to get 1) A personality 2) A respectful, knowledgeable GENTLEMAN who will treat you with respect and offer reasoning as to why something wouldn’t be able to get tailored, if that’s the case, and 3) Extremely reasonable prices by a true master tailor. Someone who has put in the needed time, money, and energy to be able to call himself a master. You’re making a mistake going to Nerimans. Trust me.

Went in to get measured for a wedding in another state, offered to pay him whatever the cost was for measurements. He advised I should go to a men’s shop. Not sure in what world measurements aren’t okay at a tailor, but I would take his advice... go to a men’s shop. Go anywhere but here.

Great tailor - he's shortened sleeves on an overcoat, replaced zipper on dress pants, let out waist on suit pants, and this winter he replaced the zipper on a wool coat and shortened the sleeves. I brought the coat in on a Friday, along with a replacement zipper I bought online, and paid cash and the coat was ready on Monday. It was a difficult repair but every stitch was perfect and for $60 it was well worth it.

I'm not sure why people would give this man poor ratings. He is an unbelievably skilled and experienced tailor- I've brought all of my suits to him for years and have always gotten fantastic results. I assume any poor reviews were based on the garment brought in. If you need a suit tailored, he IS your guy.

I went here today and this man was extremely rude and would not even look at the alterations I needed done. He simply said "No" and turned his back and walked away and started working on something else. I wouldn't recommend anyone else goes back here.

The only place in southeastern CT I'll take my clothes, suits, jackets, ect, for alterations. If you can find it then count yourself lucky.

Great old world tailor. Does great work, reasonable prices and quick turn-around. A one man show. He does all the work himself. I'm glad to pay him - good honest work. He saved my favorite winter coat. A friend's dog chewed it up and the zipper broke. It's like new now.

It's just what you need in a tailor!!!!!! He was sitting behind his machine in his shop that's been in business since 1970! I put on my suit, he pinned the vest, fitted the trousers and made sure I was satisfied with how it looked and made a adjust or two! Very friendly in person!! He has me as a new customer! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
