I work at a very high end women’s clothing store in Greenwich. We offer our clientele free alterations with their purchases. We chose Gruber’s as our Tailor almost 3 years ago when we first opened. We couldn’t be happier with any decision we have made in that time. Mel ( the owner ) and the whole Castro family are the definition of people who take pride in the work they do, providing top notch Customer Service and always going above and beyond to make sure our clients are happy. We send hundreds of garments a year to Grubers and believe me, we would hear back from OUR customers if they weren’t happy with the work done there. So many people have started using them as a tailor and dry cleaner because of the workmanship and their personal face to face experience with Mel and his family. I am writing this because I saw the above negative review fron the gentlemen re: his pants. As sure as I am writing this is as sure as I am that whatever happened that day Mel would have bent over backwards to make sure this customer walked away happy. Greenwich is lucky to have such a wonderful family owned business in town!

Truly awful cleaners. They lost the trousers to my black tie and I almost missed a wedding. They spun various tales - one minute another customer had taken them, then they were in the machine and then they were lost. They reappeared 90 mins before the wedding. And, the alterations they were supposed to do were wrong. With so many good options, you would be mad to use Grubers Expensive, no good & dishonest
