I would not let these people near anything I own with a needle and thread ever again. Had patches sewn on a vest and was assured by them that they could do it. It took almost 6 weeks to get done, every single patch was crooked and now all the edges are coming undone. They tried to double the price quoted when they finally did finish because "It was more difficult than expected." They suck, plain and simple!
amazing, I highly recommend you try them very friendly fast and affordable! We need more people like Toshi in our community running businesses!!!
First time there, excellent work, very fairly priced. I'll be coming back
Don't trust her with anything important. I brought my wedding dress in to be hemmed, taken in on the breasts, and have the train bustled. Toshi told me she could do it and I left my dress with her. I felt a little uncomfortable, as she didn't take my measurements or write any notes about the work on the ticket. But I decided just to trust that it would be okay. She told me it was going to be ready in a month, so on the day after it was supposed to be ready, I went to pick it up. The only thing she had done was hem it. She told me that it was impossible to take in the breasts and that it looked fine the way it was (which it didn't, as it was obviously too big and wouldn't lay flat against my chest or underarms). She also told me that it was impossible to bustle and that I would just have to hold the train with my arms while I'm dancing. She didn't even call to tell me that the work couldn't be done. She just waited until I came in to pick up the dress. This left me scrambling to find another tailor who could alter my dress, just days before my wedding.
I had to have a dress hemmed for a wedding in very short amount of time. She was able to have my dress ready within 2 hours.
Terrific Tailor. They do excellent work, are very reasonably priced, and have your items ready when they say they will.
I took my bridesmaid dress for my sister's wedding here based on a few reviews I read. My dress needed to be taken in on the bodice and hemmed. How sorely mistaken I was! I took my dress in mid September and was told it would be done by September 30. I went in on October 1, a day after it was supposedly done. They had to search the entire store to find my dress, and of course it wasn't done. I was assured it would be done by noon the following day. Immediately, I was worried about the work being rushed. I was tempted to take my dress but I didn't want to be rude, and I wasn't sure if another tailor could have it done in time. So I let them alter it. Such a huge mistake! The floor length hem was clearly marked for the length required for my shoes, but Toshi instead went off the ticket which said hem 2". So the hem is also now completely crooked instead of being hemmed to my body. The inner shell layer is way longer than the outer chiffon layer. And the stitching is so much worse than what I can do on my mom's old sewing machine from the 1970s! Not to mention the back of the dress is 2" shorter than what it should be. So much for the heels I bought specifically for the dress. What a hack job. As for the bodice, it was taken in with darts on the top instead of taken in correctly on the sides. The darts have put holes in the beautiful fabric. Just looking at the work put me in tears, because the wedding is two weeks away and the expensive floor length dress was custom for the wedding. I almost couldn't bring myself to go back and complain, but I sucked it up and went in. Toshi acted so confused about why it was too short and crooked. She pulled down on the dress and said it was fine. But ultimately she gave me my money back and said it was free, so she didn't need to say sorry. How horrible. I took my dress to another tailor and she was so completely horrified by the previous work. She now has one week to fix it, as well as try to add matching fabric to the bottom. I am crossing my fingers that Toshi did not ruin this important dress for good! The new tailor also told me she's gotten several articles just this week that were hacked by Toshi. Do not take anything to Toshi. The price may be okay, but you don't even get what you pay for.
Awful experience. Promised alterations weren't completed after 2 months of waiting with no explanation as to why. When I inquired, the response I received was to "just come pick it up." Unprofessional, with no regard for customer service.
One star is way to generous...I dropped of a couple of beach towels so that she could make a flap over the top so that it would fit over a lounge chair (I even brought in a 3rd one already made so she could us it as a pattern) I was told it would be done in a week. I went back one week later and she said she was a busy lady and I could come back the next day, so I did. She cut them both 4 inches too short. When I showed her her mistake she said to just take them so she wouldn’t have to look at my mad face anymore. I told her I wasn’t mad just disappointed that I had spent $45.00 and both towels were ruined, she told me to go buy 2 more towels and she would redo them. I told her no thank you and she said I was just a white racist and mean. I told her I was not white I was Hispanic and race had nothing to do with the fact that she had made a mistake. She said I was just mean and trying to take advantage of an 85 year old Japanese lady, I told her I was paying for a service that she advertised and it was horrible... I would never go back!
Dropped by to have some clothing altered at 10:00 am. The store was not open, no sign why they are closed. Tried to call throughout the day, no answer and no machine to leave a message on.
I love them there they did a beautiful job on my wedding dress perfect in the price just right I totally recommend them
Toshi is very sweet and she's great with your everyday sewing and alteration needs.
Toshi has done all the work for me on my military uniforms, suits, pants, polos, etc., for at least the past 10-12 years. I ONLY take my stuff to her for any alteration work I need. I know I can always count on her to do exactly what I need and have it ready on the date we agree it will be ready. Work is always done in a timely manner. I should have written a review years ago!
I've had several pants taylored (straight leg) and she does a beautiful professional job with very reasonable prices. Can not tell they were ever altered. She is very nice as well. Will continue to bring pants.
Toshi did an amazing job with my military party shirt! I will definitely use her again.
Outstanding work both mens & womens clothing
Amazing tailoring service, nice people.
Great little tailor shop and they were able to fix all our clothes the same day at no extra cost.
Such a nice place. Toshi is very friendly and helpful. Many times can do same day alterations!!! What a special small business.
Toshi did an excellent job repairing a vintage fake-leather jacket. You have to look close to see where it was torn! She also added buttons to an open-sided ruana so now I can close the sides if I want. Fast service and fair prices!
Great work. Fun eclectic shop. My husband had a suit ruined by Mens Warehouse Thank goodness Toshi is a fantastic tailor seamstress and saved the day. Also hemmed my mother of bride dress . WONDERFUL, reasonable prices
Sweet lady
Called this morning to ask if they would be able to sew a patch on a vest over a pocket without sewing the pocket shut her response was “Never going to happen”. I have a patch on the other pocket already done by a mobile tailor at a bike show. It Can be done. Very unbecoming of a owner. Use a professional tailor stay away.
Literally just got hung up on by the lady answering the phone. I asked if she could give me a general price range on a purse zipper repair and she said no because she needs to see the purse and then hung up on me before I could ask if I could bring the purse in. Guess I won't be doing business here....
Fast quality work and great prices! She even does original hem and it was way cheaper than I expected
Toshi's did a fantastic and quick job on my bridesmaid dress and work slacks. Items were done either on time or before the agreed upon date. The tailor was sweet and helpful. Great price for excellent work and service!
