I took a $200 Ann Taylor dress to be altered down 2 sizes. It was a very basic, "little black dress". The end result was terrible. She basically just took it in, without concern for the fact that larger dresses are made with different dimensions, for example MORE should be taken in from the waist than the hips. The dress fit horribly, and went from what was supposed to be a cute little dress to a frumpy, overly conservative bag. But she was quick and reasonably priced, so if you just want to take up the hem of your dress, it wouldn't be a bad choice.

Called to inquire on pricing, she responded as being annoyed, and said she didn't know? Tried to explain it was simple patches to be sewn on, and she responded by saying sorry I don't speak English. She than hung up. Weird way to get business.

I had a great experience here. I had to shorten the sleeve length on a suit jacket and she did an amazing job. It looks even better than I expected. Her prices are also very reasonable.
