This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had. I dropped off several things to be pressed, not dry cleaned. I also had two items to be altered and pressed. When I arrived to pick up my things a week later at the agreed upon time, they hadn’t even been started and were laying in a heap on the desk. I came back an hour later and they were “finished”. I tried my dress on and the stitching needed to be corrected and she completed this quickly. Too quickly, in fact. She ruined my dress with a front seam that now I am unable to wear because she didn’t take her time and care to complete correctly. After all of that, I decided to let it go. We attend the wedding where all of the pressed items were to be worn and they were all shrunken and unwearable. She cost us over $600 and we paid her. Unbelievable.

When I brought the suit to Myrna, she was able to tell me which size I needed, and then altered the suit to fit perfectly. Myrna was so helpful and friendly, and she got the alterations done a week ahead of schedule. Yesterday I brought her a vest to alter, and she called me today to say that it is done! I usually don't write reviews.. but Myrna was a life saver for me. I had brought my Army Service Uniform to a tailor shop that was known for working with the military. Upon getting it back I noticed how sloppy the work was. Being a week away from my commissioning, I was certain that it could not be fixed in time. As soon as she saw it, she attentively identified each issue with the uniform. With the amount of alterations that needed to be done, I was certain it wasn't possible to have turned around. She assured me that she wouldn't leave her shop until I was ready to go. Myrna went out of her way to ensure that all the previous shop's issues were fixed in time. She has worked with many other service member uniforms and understands the proper regulations. Her attention to detail, excellent customer service, and dedication makes this tailor shop by far the best of all the tailor shops that I have been to in the Springs.

I was skeptical to go half way across town to get my prom dress fitted, but when I walked through Myrna’s Tailor Shop I was greeted warmly and asked how I could be helped. I had a glittery grey sequence prom dress that was very hard material to work with. She said it was no problem and fit it around my body with pins and told me to come in for my next fitting. During my second visit I was received the same way, it fit me like a glove and she worked very hard and endlessly complimented me while I gushed over her work. Then, I was nervous and anxious and I wanted one more alternation to be done. It was quite ridiculous and so I quickly called and asked if they would even consider it. They said yes and immediately started to work on it for the third time, a day and a half away from my prom. I finally picked it up the afternoon of prom after they worked with little time because of my pickiness and I hugged her with all my might, thanked everyone and then finally asked how much I owed. She said there was no additional charge ....I couldn’t believe it, I kept begging her to take the payment for her wonderful work and she wouldn’t. All I can say is that through this entire experience I felt like a princess on my prom night because my dress fit me beautifully thanks to Myrna. I have never felt more confident than in that dress I wore that night. So thank you for all your hard work and I hope to come to you again Myrna if I need anything tailored! I highly recommend everyone to go there here no matter what they need, or where they are because it is the best place to go. Comfy environment, wonderful people, and amazing work! THANK YOU!!!

Don't waste time going anywhere else- just go to Myrna!! This woman runs an amazing shop. I went to her with a dress for my sisters wedding that was about 4-5 sizes too big. When my dress was finished I tried it on and it fit perfect. She didn't change the look of the dress at all which was surprising with how many inches she had to take off. I tried on the dress randomly about a week before I flew out for the wedding and I lost more weight so it was too big once again. I went back with only a week left in town asking for her help. I was so relieved when she told me she would have it done in just a couple days. I just picked up my dress today and it is perfect once again! I have a 3 piece all white suit that I took to Myrna’s to be altered and fitted to my new measurements. You see I’m 6”2 and used to weigh over 400 pounds so you can imagine when I took this suit I used to wear at that weight to Myrna to be altered as I lost over 200 pounds (no, not over night, but it took 2yrs). Myrna gladly excepted the challenge and is a true perfectionist as I went back 2 different times for fittings, which I did not mind the least as i saw it as Myrna just wanting it to be a perfect fit on me! Well I’m happy to say that the finished product does indeed fit perfect on me, you would never know that this suit which looked like a parachute on me when I first brought it in to Myrna now looks like a brand new fitted suit to my exact measurements after my weight loss! This lady does the best tailoring in all of Colorado Springs! Are there cheaper tailors in town....maybe....but remember, you get what you pay for and Myrna’s is worth every dollar!!!

I ordered an evening gown online for the Air Force Ball this past Friday. I ordered it according to my size and received the gown a week before the ball and it was a complete disaster. It was at least a size too big and was at least 6 inches too long. Needless to say, I started to panic. I immediately Googled tailor shops in the Springs to find out if it could be tailored before the ball on Friday. That's where I found Myrna's Tailor Shop. I brought the gown to her on Monday and right away I could see what everyone was talking about in her reviews. Myrna is an absolute miracle worker. Not only was she personable, but she knew exactly how the dress needed to be fitted without me mentioning anything about what I was envisioning. She let me know that the gown would be finished by Thursday...but she finished it by Wednesday. I am so impressed by her. She doesn't just treat you as a customer, she makes you feel like an old friend. You never leave her shop worried or without a smile on your face. She's willing to go the extra mile and shoots for quality, not quantity. I will never take my clothing to any other tailor shop. I had my dress by Friday, and it fit perfectly. I brought my wedding dress here based on all the great reviews and I was extremely disappointed with the results. When you go in for your fitting, they pinch the sides of the clothing you need altered and put some pins on it. No measuring or anything for accuracy. Which is why my dress did not fit right and my husbands suit was the same. He could barely extend his arms with the suit coat on. They don't have the equipment to press but they sure will charge you for it! and they will say that the reason why your clothes looks wrinkled is because of the fabric. My husband and I ended up taking our wedding dress and suit to the dry cleaners to get it pressed before the wedding. Nice lady though and good people's skills.

I was recommended here by a Friend who had her uniform perfectly tailored so I wanted to follow suit since mine was a bit big. Dropped off the Jacket on May 2nd and was told to pick it up on May 18th. Today May 19th I went in to pick up my jacket and it had not been touched. The exact way I left it with all the pins altered to my body is the same way it was left hanging on her rack. From the reviews it seems as if I was just an unfortunate customer who didn't receive the proper customer service. She volunteered to have it fixed and picked up the same day, however after having it in the Shop for 2 1/2 weeks untouched her business just wasn't for me.

I can't say enough about Myrna!!!! I'm leaving on an international trip and my amazon order of jeans was delivered late. My heart sank when the jeans I specifically picked because they were supposed to cater to a "curvy" figure (product description: when you have a waist much smaller than your hips - these are the jeans to eliminate a bad fit) needless to say I had so much plumbers' crack showing I should be able to charge $150 per hour to unclog a sink! In a panic I did a search for alterations and Myrna's Tailor Shop was listed. I took a chance and stopped by on Thursday 11/15/18 (flight leaves on Monday) with 2 pairs of jeans and asked if they could do the service but fully expecting to just be turned away because of the short timeline. Myrna said she would be willing to help but wanted me to know up front there would be an additional charge for the rush but that they would be ready by the end of business the next day! Uh SOLD!!! LOL She has a great way of dealing with customer's and putting them at ease and is a joy to interact with! I dropped off 2 additional pair of jeans before they closed on Thursday and OVERJOYED to say I picked them up today!!! Perfect fit!!! I can't describe the level of confidence it gives to have jeans that actually fit! With my shape I NEVER get that!!! When I return to the states in a month, I plan to bring all my altering needs to Myrna. Everyone at the shop is very welcoming and it is clear that they truly care about each person and their individual needs, Myrna is a true professional in her craft and to top it all off - funny as heck! I needed a last minute rank change for my ABU hat and blouse, and OCP pants tailored because the tailoring place at the BX at Peterson didn't do a very good job. Took everything in at 10am and needed it the same day. Got my rank changes back by 1pm for a meeting and picked up my pants at 4:30pm. These guys are AMAZING. My oh my! Where to begin? So, I bought a cheap dress from online which was beautiful, but needed a lot of work. I had to be tucked and pinned everywhere it seemed! Myrna even mentioned that the seams where a bit off and decided to take upon herself to make sure it fit correctly and that the seams where properly sewn. The dress was a mess but Myrna made it work and produced a beautiful, well- fitted gown that I am so excited to wear on my wedding day! Best part of it was- with all the work that needed to be done, and a bussle included the price was WAYYY cheaper than what I was expected. I highly recommend Myrna ! She is the best!

Terrible experience. I dropped off two skirts and a vest. They mentioned they would call me when finished and would not give me a quote. Myrna was awesome..prior to consulting her I did a lot of searching for a reasonable, experienced tailor to take on this task. The dress I had her alter was originally "too small" at the waist... myrna was diligent enough to take on the task to make the dress "fit" me enough to still show off my curves. Although the dress was already made, she made it just for me. She did not rush the task, as I gave her a large windows of time, but I'm so glad I did bc we were able to adjust things as needed with the fittings we had. I am uber pleased with her service, professionalism, and pricing. Being in the military community she knows the struggle lol. There's not enough positive things I can say about this shop! They saved my bacon and they had no obligation to do so! I gave them a timeline that was completely inconsiderate and unreasonable, they were already overrun with orders, and they worked overtime to get it done! Amazing amazing amazing! I needed a brand new suit tailored in 2 days before I flew out for a wedding. I thought I only needed the sleeves and pants shortened but Myrna refused to let me go out without having it fully tailored. My jacket, pants, and vest all came out perfect! I felt like a million bucks at the wedding, everything fit just right and was very comfortable. And her staff was fantastic as well. I came to Mrs. Myrna with less than a week asking her to have my velvet jacket tailored for my wedding that was on Thanksgiving day, which she had ready the day before. Let's just say I knew from when I walked in that just by her energy and hospitality alone that I could trust her and that my jacket was in good hands. She made lots of corrections from a previous person I had seen, whom also stated that because of the material of my jacket she couldn't adjust certain areas and they would not have it completed in that amount of time. So, I greatly appreciate Mrs. Myrna for not only doing this for me with such short notice but my jacket turned out amazing! I told her I wanted a more modern, fitted look and she delivered! I have had a great experience with Myrna's Tailor shop. I had my wedding in December and in November I wanted to get my Air Force service dress suit tailored because that is what I was going to use. Instead, she had a mess dress top that fit me really well and just needed a few adjustments for a great price!! Mynra's Tailor shop saved me! I ordered a suit online that took two weeks to arrive which happened to be the day before I needed to wear it. Fortunately, I was recommended to call Myrna's Tailor shop. I told her on the phone that I only needed my pants altered so she told me to come by. I was way off! After looking at the suit I do not think any work was done except for making the arms smaller. Second suit fit but I noticed there was a hole in the seams where there was work done. The absolute best experience I have ever had getting alterations! I was heading out of town for a conference, having just returned from another. I needed a quick rush hem job on three pants, in fact, same-day turnaround (which I know is a very tall ask for alteration shops). Mathew got me measured, not only with a perfect hem, but recommended some tailoring to the pants, given the hem left the bottoms of the pant too loose. His recommendations were far beyond what I walked in expecting to receive, but they were much needed, and I was excited about the end job. Matthew got right to work and said he'll call me when done. When I got the call, I raced in and tried on the pants Matthew worked on for me. I could not believe the precision and craftsmanship of his recommendations when putting on each pair, how sharp and absolutely perfect they all turned out. He knew exactly what I was asking for with very little explanation, and completely knocked it out of the park. What a genuinely great experience, I cannot be happier. In the day-to-day grind that is life, you have to deal with, and rely on, others in countless ways. If you're fortunate, most of those experiences will be uneventful. But it's a real breath of fresh air when every-now-and-then, someone is courteous, professional, skillful, and offers a valuable service, all in ways that far exceed expectations. Dora Grace in Fort Collins is where we all got our bridesmaids dresses and they measured me completely wrong and had me order a dress that was way to big in every way. Wow! What a great job Myrna and her crew did for me. I showed up 10 days before my wedding with a dress I ordered online. When the dress came it was see through on the top,it had no boning or lining to hold the top up, it was covered in beading and jewels, the back would not lace up tightly also it was not fitted right anywhere. This dress was a nightmare!!! I showed up almost in tears, when nobody else would take the dress due to the short timeframe Myrna took on the job and the dress came out beautiful. Short Version: Myrna tailored a formal dress for me in a timely manner and it turned out beautifully! I received many compliments and I highly recommend her! Long Version: I brought a formal dress in to Myrna's that needed quite a few things done to it (including making a completely inappropriate thigh slit appropriate for a military ball). She took out the hips, took in the waist, and then created a new piece to cover the slit. The dress went from ill-fitting and boring to absolutely gorgeous and classy. Not to mention she did it all in about 3 days during Ball season. My dress turned out fantastic and I got tons of compliments on it. And as a plus I didn't see anyone wearing anything even close to similar, which wouldn't have been the case if I'd worn my backup dress if Myrna couldn't fix my first choice. To top it off she was friendly and professional. I highly recommend her!

When my wife & I first arrived, we tried tried three other tailor shops looking for the quality of work we had grown accustomed to in the city where we last lived. We continued to be disappointed by poor quality and occasionally incomplete work. Fortunately we found Myrna's Tailor Shop, convenient to our home, the post office and a locksmith and safe shop next door to her. Myrna has greeted me with my name each time I walked into her shop, after my first visit. Her work has exceeded the quality of at least 95% of the shops I had grown use to in my past. None of the other shops we tried in Colorado Springs, come anywhere near meeting the quality,and predictable timeliness of her work done for me and my wife. She and her staff excels in several ares of tailoring. These include professional wear, including suits, uniforms, dresses, formal wedding gowns and dresses to every day wear. I especially have benefitted from her sizing and altering jackets, shirts and pants of all types. No one has ever finished the hemming of my jeans, both denim and colored as well as Myrna's Tailor Shop, I just picked up a new pair of mountain wear pants she altered and replaced the rear boot guard on. They looked better, when she finished them, than they did when I bought them. I highly recommend you visit Myrna's Tailor Shop, facing Gatti St, off Ford St., the next time you need tailoring work done for men or women.

Seriously the most AMAZING experience. I had 12 days (including a holiday) to get a bridesmaid dress fitted and it was scary, and I was a hassle, and had demands that Myrna and her team met to a tee. They're dedicated to taking care of the customer. They're very good listeners and don't try to argue about your specific alteration requirements, which is a VERY big plus, since most alteration shops think they know what you when they don't most of the time. They had a little hiccup in my order when I did some double checking and they were able make corrections without a fuss which is also a plus! It's just the fact that they never even knew when my order was going to be completed at times, but things took care of themselves on the end and I still able to make my deadline. They get four starts from me.

Myrna is a magician! She custom fit my daughters prom dress and made her look like a princess. We had to buy the dress a half size two based on options, 2, 4 ,6 etc (she wears a 3). Myrna made the gown look like it was designed just for her body. Not only did she fit the fabric she reapplied over 100 faux rhinestones because we had to have sparkles. BLUF: Took a very expensive set of ASU's ordered from Marlow White and on a short timeline, completely rebuilt / tailored the new ASU's in order to fit perfectly. Better than any civilian suit I've had tailored, very reasonable price as well. 5 stars only becausee 6 aren't possible. Background: I ordered the premium ASU top and bottom from Marlow White, gave them all my measurements with the understanding that there would need to be some alterations in order to make it fit right. I'm the the typical athletic build so usually the mid section has to be taken in some, pants hemmed etc. Upon taking the ASU to Myrna and putting it on, it fit like a blown out trash bag. Both top and bottom needed MAJOR work to include but not limited to: - Back adjusted - Sleeve length shortened - Everything from mid chest down taken apart, moved in - Pockets taken off and relocated - Pants hemmed, taken in - Probably more I already forgot about The Uniform fits like a glove now, amazing work by Myrna and my only regret is not taking a before picture just for comparison's sake. As an FYI I did reach out to Marlow White and got the standard response...but I won't get into that.

I have been recommending everyone I know to Myrna's. I brought her my wedding dress to be bustled only a few weeks before my wedding and she did such a great job. My dress was a vintage lace style that was very difficult to match, and Myrna carried it around and compared it to other vintage dresses until she found one that was similar and used a little lace flower from another dress to cover the bustle button. The bustle was perfect and stayed up all day while I ran around in my outdoor wedding. She also found a small tear in the dress and fixed it up for me. I know this lady has amazing reviews, but honestly, she was awful. She had my dress for 2 weeks and when I went to pick it up she hadn’t even touched it. She just forgot about it. And then when I went to get it the next morning only half of it had been done, and it looked awful. She hemmed it too short and uneven, and made everything else different then I had asked. I ended up having to pin it myself to try and save it as I was out of time for the wedding I was in. The quality of her work looked terrible, you could tell it was really rushed and poorly put together. On top of that she was EXTREMELY pricey. She didn’t offer a discount or anything for her being late, and doing poor work to boot. My sister had her dress altered at a different place in the Springs for half the price and it looked amazing. I honestly wish I had never gone to her.
