I don't understand any negative reviews on this place. Yes, it's pricey, but as the old saying goes, "You get what you pay for." I've been going to them for 20+ years. They work magic! My mother arrived from Europe in a white, linen outfit -- there was turbulence on the flight and her glass of Cab spilt all over her. She was sure she'd lost the outfit. I had remembered that Kings had told me never to touch anything, just bring it in. My mother was shocked -- It came back pristine as if nothing had ever happened to it. As well, I had a very expensive leather jacket -- during dinner, a dinner companion made a sweeping hand gesture, which knocked over the candle and splattered wax all over it -- in the space of 10 minutes, while I waited Kings Cleaners staff had got rid of it. For a whopping $10! Love, love, love them!

I went here for the first and last time. I got a sticker shock when I picked up my dry cleaning - $112! I got pants, skirt and blouse cleaned and a dress hemmed. I was a first time customer and was dropping this off before work, I really should have asked what the price would be, but I was in a hurry, so I take some of the responsibility for this, but they really should quote you a price before accepting a job. Normally dry cleaners give you a receipt for the amount you owe when you drop your stuff off. These guys are all electronic and they just sent me an email confirmation about my order. This is no way to do business. I'm surprised they get any return customers.

This place is really amazing. After another tailor did a terrible job with my wedding gown (I though I would need to buy a new dress), I called Pronovias to ask them for the best tailor in NYC. They recommended King Garment Care and they were absolutely right!! Kika did such and outstanding job, she was super patient and kind. I seriously could not recommend them more. They were excellent and super detail oriented. They made sure I was 100% satisfied with my dress and even cleaned it for free. If I could give this place 10 stars out of 5 I would!!

Horrible experience. Tailoring not delivered on time and looks terrible. Need to go to another place to fix. Staff couldn't care less. I would not recommend to anyone.

Took my dress to be altered, $200 later and it was totally uneven and longer at the front than the back. they then tried charging me to fix it, which I refused to do. There was never any apology, instead everyone seemed annoyed at me for bringing them more work to do! I now have it back and its still not right but I don't want them touching it anymore. I should've known since they have also stained 2 of my husbands shirts in the past...

I use Rosa for tailoring and really value her judgment and skills. The dry cleaning, while expensive, is always well done and the turn around is fast.

Not a good place to send designer clothes. I used to use this place a lot because I didn’t want my designer clothes to get ruined in other basic street cleaners. I sent a few Comme Des Garçons wool pants from paris runway to this place and the white cotton living has a lot discoloring. They keep redo it for me but never turned out satisfied. Sometimes spending more money doesn’t get what you deserved, this is my feeling for this places

I never leave reviews but I'm so frustrated so I am now. They threw out my laundry bag (which was a $40 bag) with no apology. They stated that was their policy but I was never informed of it. They also dry cleaned my coat which for some reason took 8 weeks when they said it would only take 1. Do not go here, extraordinarily infuriating and very disrespectful employees.

A bit expensive, but they do great work. I took in a silk top in on 1/28 that had a mystery stain on it from Christmas dinner- yup 12/25 that Christmas. --Completely gone shirt looks great. I also took in a white coat that was absolutely flighty and it looks brand new. My total was $53. and some change to give you an idea of price. I'm really satisfied with the work, I only wish it was more reasonably priced.

I highly recommend King if you're looking for customer service without sacrificing expertise. They've invested in technology like few others I've tried, including sms updates and saved preferences. Not to mention the team of trained professionals that go above and beyond to make smart recommendations and execute with great attention to detail.

I cannot say enough about how pleased I am with the repair King Garment care just did for me! I have a beautiful, long, down Moncler coat. Somehow, I got a tear in the back of the coat on one of the nylon squares. King was one of only two places that Moncler endorsed to handle repairs for them. I live in Philadelphia so I called to see if they could handle it for me. They would have allowed me to ship it to them and then send it back to me. As it turned out though, I had to be in the city so I brought it in midday. The tear happened to be in a square that had the back-cinching stitching halfway into the square making it a much trickier repair than if there was just a single square with a tear. They ended up replacing the whole panel (3 squares across). The repair is absolutely UNDETECTABLE! The stitching was perfect and the material was actual Moncler and was an exact color and texture match. Not to mention that the woman who took my call and then interacted with me in person was so friendly and helpful. The best of all was that they did it overnight and I had it the next day before noon! I am so appreciative! Clearly, these people know what they are doing and it was worth every penny to have it done correctly.

I used their service to dry clean my Canada Goose coat, because Canada Goose website recommends them. I paid $123 for the service. However, the coat was damaged by the dry clean. I noticed the damages when I picked up the coat, and I pointed them out to the store lady. She said that the damages were from me wearing it. But I only bought it two months ago, and I hadn’t seen any damage before the dry clean. Then she told me that I hadn’t seen the damages because the coat was dirty, and their dry cleaning just made the damages visible. How ridiculous it is! I took my coat to the Canada Goose store. The store agent told me that there was no way the damages were caused by wear. And he swapped my coat with a new one.

So, they loose my mothers dress. I am in the midst of trying to get a refund for the dress and for the charge to my card for the dress THEY LOST. (It is so incredible yet it almost comical.) I will update this review based on the outcome. I have emailed them, called them and stopped by the cleaners 3 times. I am going again this weekend (4th time) to try to get my money back. One things is without doubt, I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN OR RECOMMEND IT EVER AGAIN!!!

Very frustrating place. The fact that they're super expensive is understood, but they cut three shirts I brought in way too tight -- far tighter than I asked -- to the point that they're now unwearable. This seems like a sin in tailoring, since too loose can always be changed, but too tight is game over.

I use them for everything from laundry to cashmere dry cleaning (they are the best at this! My sweaters always come back looking brand new) to cleaning my wedding dress, and winter coat alterations. I've never had anything come back not perfect and personally checked by the detail oriented staff. They are expensive, yes, but you get what you pay for, and they're worth every penny if you care about maintaining and extending the life of your clothing.
