Not cheap but one of the best. They do good work and their experience allows them to suggest options for making the garment look good on you while staying within standard practices. I've had pants, shirts, and coats altered here and have never had issues. I believe some department stores outsource their alterations to Dumans. They have a few parking spots at the back of the building.

I was looking for a new tailor after mine recently retired. I searched around and found Duman’s on East Colfax. Easy $.25 parking in a meter out-front or free parking in the rear. Marie and Martha are part of their expert staff. Friendly conversation, professional service, great pricing. Give this company a try and say hello to Marie for me!!

I used to go here all the time. Lately they frequently can't find our clothes that we brought in. Once they even gave a jacket of my wife's to someone else, and they had to chase it down and get it back. The last time I was there, it took almost a half hour to find my items, and Steve got mad when I saw part of my order and pointed it out to him. I had been a customer for years and years and couldn't believe the way I was treated. I won't be back.

Had a suit for a wedding that didn't fit well at all. They were able to do a complete recut on the pants and overhaul of the coat, essentially a full remake. It was fantastically well done at a very reasonable price!! Will continue to make the drive to Denver for tailoring.

I needed a button replaced on a jacket. I went to pick up the jacket two week later, it was not ready. They said the button was a special order so i left the jacket there to wait for the button. Two months later i picket up the jacket without the button. the button was NOT very special at all. I found them online in under 1 min and cheap.

Though this shop looks a little rough around the edges, the service and quality of work here is first rate. I got my heavy, white suede winter coat taken in here and they did an incredible job for under $100 and the turn around time was several days earlier than their estimate. I would highly recommend Duman's!

It looks shabby inside but the work is unparalleled. They remember who you are, they treat your clothing well, and most importantly, they understand how clothing is made, so they alter clothing well so it fits well.

Owner is a big ol’ jerk. Both times I interacted with him, he literally argued with me. Everyone else at his place is kind and respectful. First time I went in, a younger guy helped me figure out what was necessary to alter a bridesmaids dress. I don’t love the dress and didn’t want to spend a bunch of money on it. He asked the lady who would alter it how much it would be, and she quoted $35. Second time in, I tried on my dress and the bottom was uneven. The owner and I argued about pin placement. He said it was even, but parts were touching the ground and parts were not. Refused to listen to me. Third time, just to pick up and pay he quoted me SEVENTY FIVE DOLLARS. Luckily the younger guy was there, and backed me up. I never would have went there if it would have been that much. I own a sewing machine and would have figured it out for myself before spending that much. Brought it down to $55 but not after arguing with me and verbally abusing his staff. Go to a tailor that is customer centric. That will listen to you and not only himself.

Duman's beautifully altered a suit for me in less than 24 hours so that I could travel to a funeral. I would have been happy with the quality of work had it taken two weeks. A real tailor's shop with an amazing staff who cares. Highly recommended.

My daughter moved to Denver a few months ago and needed a gown altered as she was going to be a bridesmaid at her friends wedding back on the East Coast - New York. I told her to go to Duman's as I remembered seeing it while out there visiting - I read the reviews and said - this is the place for you. She rode her gown over on her bicycle and the owner took her dress and did amazing alterations ... he is a professional, friendly and helpful. He told her she could not ride the gown home on her bicycle and offered to deliver it to her home...and that he did - what service! We would recommend Duman's to everyone ... world class service! Thank you from a grateful customer and her mother!

Can't say enough good things about Duman's. I brought a dress in last week on Thursday for some last minute alterations that I needed done by Saturday afternoon. They had it done by Friday. The dress fit perfectly and you couldn't have ever figured out that it had been altered. The staff is super helpful, too. Highly recommended.

The owner is terribly rude and unprofessional. Got there at the pickup time and both of my pairs of pants weren't done despite having to pay a $5 rush charge per pant. They misplaced my other pair and spent 10 minutes looking around for it before finally finding it uncompleted next to the sewing machine. He then did two seams quickly and sloppily..not what I wanted to see with my nicest $300 suit pants. When I asked if he could simply remove the rush charge fee from just 1 of the pair of pants (seems pretty fair to ask, huh?) since they weren't even done on time, he said, "That's ridiculous, I made you wait for 10 minutes." How rude and unprofessional. I spend hundreds a year in tailoring and dry cleaning and b/c of that, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. They made me wait far too long in my dress pants waiting to get fitted while he serviced 3 other customers at the front desk that came well after me, and he once again disrespected my time at pickup. Not to mention, this place is in the worst and toughest part of Denver and looks/feels like a 1920s sweatshop. Never coming back here again and recommend you don't make the same mistake either.
