I took it to someone else originally and described my vision for the dress that didn't fit and the fabric I wanted to add to it. She told me it was too much and to try elsewhere. Thank goodness I ended up calling Mahin next! Not only did she do everything I asked for, she was happy to create a one-of-a-kind bustle to add on to the dress and it looks absolutely amazing. I can't wait for my big day to show everyone!

I wouldn't trust anyone else with a wedding dress! The owner is amazingly accommodating, charges far less than any other wedding dress seamstress, does beautiful work and is so sweet! Not only that, she altered my dress in less than two weeks! It needed quite a bit of work and I also had her steam and press my dress. She waited for my mom to come in from out of town, just days before my wedding, so she could show her how to lace up my dress and how the bustle worked. I then also had her tailor my, now, husband's suit and she did that in under a week! Another plus is that she only books one appointment at a time so you get her undivided attention. My dress fit like a glove and it was far from it before she altered it. Everyone told both me and my husband that we looked like a million bucks on our wedding day. I attribute that to Colorado Wedding Alterations! Brides, don't take your dress anywhere else, you'll be happy you didn't!

Where to even start... Mahin is like a fairy god mother! I purchased a dress from a bridal shop and received it two sizes too small on a short timeframe. I took it to Mahin to get altered and when I tried it on I was so upset how I looked in it. It was not what I invisioned for myself on my wedding day. It was a super emotional experience and Mahin was my shoulder to cry on and she promised she would do what she could to help. She tried her hardest to make the dress work, but in the end we decided it was best to look for another dress that would fit my body type better. I was able to find my dream dress based on her recommendation and she did a flawless job to make it fit perfectly. Her bustles were absolutely amazing and made it so easy for my bridesmaids to fix my dress for my reception. My fiancé’s custom shirt came in too small and the shop we got it at was unable to fix it in the short time before the wedding. I called her in a panic and she had me come over within an hour and had it done within another hour - she let out his shirt in every way she could even though men’s is not her speciality. She was there for me when I needed someone the most and she did a phenomenal job. She also hemmed and did detail work on my bridal shower dress and a bridesmaid dress. If it wasn’t for her, I would have not felt like a princess on my wedding day and my fiancé would have had a shirt that didn’t fit. She is the best and I would recommend her - five stars!

Mahin did a wonderful job altering my wedding dress, and was a pleasure to work with. She put me at ease as soon as I walked through her door. Once I had the wedding dress on, and explained what I wanted done, she walked me through exactly how she would go about altering my lace dress, the type of bustle she would put in, and even suggested a couple alterations that I hadn't thought of. Once she got done pinning my dress, the cost of all the alterations she had to do was a bit over her original quote, but she honored the original quote which I appreciated. Mahin was so flexible with my schedule and working around holidays for fittings. Even though I didn't leave my dress with her until the beginning of November, it was perfect less than two months later. I highly recommend working with Mahin!

11/28/2014 My daughter was in need of having a bridesmaid dress altered but was only going to be in Denver for a couple days. We called Mahin to see if she could just do the pinning and I would get the dress altered at home in another state. Mahin said she would not only pin the dress but she would be able to alter it before we had to leave town...and this was all at Thanksgiving! Well, we are certainly thankful that we found her by Google search because she is simply lovely and a miracle worker! She did immaculate work and the dress fits my daughter like it was made for her! Her prices were beyond fair and she didn't even charge us for rush work. I highly recommend Mahin...you will not be disappointed. I'm only sorry I live so far away because she would definitely have a lifelong customer in my family!!!

I absolutely loved the seamstress Mahin. She made my experience very memorable. My wedding gown looks gorgeous. After picking out my dress i became pregnant. I grew two sizes! She let out my lace dress and added material. I couldn't even tell she added material. I saw her three times for my dress. She also put on about 14 french bustles on the lace gown. Absolutely beautiful! I brought my mom with me when i picked up the dress and Mahin took her time to show my mom how to attach every bustle correctly. We like Mahin so much I'm actually calling her today to get another dress altered.

This is a year too late but I’m doing it now so better late than never! Mahin did my wedding dress and she not only did AMAZING she was the best price I found!! I had 9-12 layers and I was amazed at how quick she got it done and how nice and sweet she was. She isn’t out there to rip you off or scam you like I’ve found other places before her. I seriously can’t say enough about how incredible she did. She is now doing my bridesmaid dress for another wedding and it’s a bit of a project but she makes me feel calm and that everything will be ok. I wasn't happy with my experience. I was not helped into my dress for the fitting. My dress has 7 layers so I need help putting it on so all the layers lay correctly under the dress. Mahin very loosely laced up my corset dress and told me it was 2 sizes too small. I asked her about lacing it tighter as it was in the store, and she told me if she laced it that way it would break at the wedding. She also told me the bustier that I've worn 4 times was too small, so perhaps a matter of opinion? She also told me my dress would need to be hemmed . My overall quote was over $700 for all the work she suggested. I got in my car and sobbed, because I couldn't understand how the dress in the store fit so perfectly and suddenly it was 2 sizes two small. I got a second opinion that very day. Once my corset was tied as I requested, it was maybe an inch smaller than I would have liked. This is probably due to the sample dress I tried on being stretched a little. All that needed to happen according to the second seamstress was the modesty panel needed to be moved an inch closer to the edge of the dress and the sleeves shortened as expected. And I needed a two inch heel to avoid getting the dress hemmed. I also got a third opinion to be sure, and she agreed. No hem needed, no major alterations. I was also assured corset dresses are meant to be laced snugly and I would not break my dress on my wedding day. However, this was so disturbing to me I paid extra to have additional stitching put in for peace of mine.

I found Mahin on Google. She was able to meet with me within 2 days of me calling her. She was honest with me and I appreciated mostly that I could be honest with her. She changed some things while I was there to ensure a good fit. She gave me her opinion but still did what I asked. I think she guided me but understood what I wanted. We talked and got to know each other during fittings. A really good experience.

Mahin was such a gem to come across! She altered my wedding dress, my rehearsal dress and my husband's tux for our wedding weekend. Her prices were better than any other's I found in town and she worked quick! You can tell she has a passion for what she does and she really knows what she is doing! Mahin was just completely wonderful! I explained to her, that I needed some alterations done to my wedding dress, for my daughter's Wedding fashion show at her high school at the end of April. She had me put on my dress, told me that she was going to do the alterations to the sleave and sides of my dress.. She used material from my train, for the alterations, since I bought my dress over 25 years ago, finding material to match would be very difficult.. You can't tell that any of the material was removed from the train at all. She added the lace from the train to the sides, and the entire alterations match!! I figured that it would take a few weeks for her to finish it for me.. To my surprise, she was done in a few days! Her prices are very reasonable, she even pressed it for me, since apparently my friend washed it in the washing machine, when she used it.. I HIGHLY recommend her for any alterations that you need to have done! Once again.. Thank you Mahin.. You are a delightful woman, and I enjoyed spending time with you

My boyfriend often has to tailor a lot of his shirts and I find myself needing alterations my dresses from time to time. Mahin is the only one we trust to tailor our clothes appropriately. We live quite far from Mahin, but it is worth the 40 minute drive to have our clothes tailored by someone who is exceptionally good at their work. She's also incredibly warm and welcoming, and it's always a pleasure seeing her. Her prices are definitely worth it for the level of expertise she offers. A great tailor is hard to find these days and I'm super glad we found her.

Mahin saved my wedding dress!! I contacted her two weeks prior to my wedding in need of help since my previous seamstress did not want to further alter my dress. After I arrived at Mahin's she was able to tell me exactly what needed to be done to my wedding dress in order for it to be wearable on my wedding day. For example, the top was falling off of me, so she suggested to add straps (best decision I made) and she also ended up re-doing my bustle because my previous seamstress had not reinforced it well enough and it would have torn my dress half way through the night. Mahin is very knowledgeable about wedding dresses and really helped calm my nerves about my wedding by getting me in so quickly. Not to mention, my dress was ready to pick up 2 days later!! I am so happy that we came across Mahin during this process and we will definitely use her for future endeavors as well.

I had an amazing experience here! I had a new suit altered for a wedding by Macy’s and they did a horrible job. I needed my suit fixed just days prior to the wedding and I brought it here and it was fixed to perfection and done right away to accommodate the time constraint! I loved Mahin over the phone. She was so informational and made me feel comfortable. I decided to go with her and ended up paying so much money. I feel like she didn't hear what I wanted. The first time I went my dress was to tight, she made me feel like I didn't get the right size and she would have to put in so much work to make it right. When she adjusted it and when I went back she said I lost weight because the dress was too big. That wasn't the case, I was the same weight, height and shape as when I first went in, especially because I didn't want to have to adjust my dress each time. Then said she would charge $10 for each bustle on my dress. When my dress was finally finished it still felt a little too big, and there were strings hanging out all over the place, and I wanted my dress to be a little tighter around the lower part of my butt. I wanted shape on my butt, she kept telling me it is not a good idea and she didn't do it. I paid $380 to alter my dress!! And it wasn't what I had always imagined it to be. She was nice, yes, but my dress wasn't what I wanted, especially for the money and she acted like she did me a favor by charging me $380.

Waste of time. I recently moved here to CO and needed to find someone pretty quick to alter my dress for this fall. When I initially called Mahin she seemed nice, but also said she was very busy right now (as if I were an inconvenience to her and her business). She proceeded to tell me if I wanted to see her I needed to come to her home within the hour. I agreed, and when I got there she had me try on my dress and gave me a few quotes (she said not much work needed to be done), this took about 10 minutes. Then she had me change out of my dress, took down my information and tells me she is unable to do my dress alterations because she is far too busy. I politely ask her if she has any recommendations and she says "Oh. No, no, no". Then, as if she hasn't said enough she tells me that I need to find someone to alter my dress as soon as possible because I am "cutting it close". She was very insensitive and I believe she did not want my business because there is not very much that needs to be done to my dress and she didn't think it was worth the money.

Mahin at Colorado Wedding Alterations is Amazing. If you go anywhere else you would be silly. My dress fits beautifully, it was such a painless process and the turnaround was so so fast. I was concerned that there would not be enough time to have alterations done and I just got my dress back and I still have 5 weeks to go. I was also going back and forth between two dresses and she helped me see why one was way better then the other. She also helped me think through my hair and jewelry and I just feel like a big weight has been lifted. I honestly cannot say enough good things.

I went to David’s Bridal and got a beautiful dress only to have a really bad time with their inhouse tailoring. I finally decided to go to another tailor after another bad fitting and a month before my wedding. I read the reviews here and hoped for the best. My experience was better than I could have hoped for. She listened to me, asked me about what I was doing in the dress and ultimately fixed everything to have it done the way I wanted the first time. Prices were reasonable and the dress is tailored with plenty of time left before my wedding. Trust the other reviewers here, she'll take care of you.

This woman was the sweetest. I had a last minute invite to a black tie function. Being 5' and plump finding a great dress was not easy. I found a dress and of course it was way to long. I had a week to get it hemmed. Mahin not only got it done EARLIER than quoted, her price was beyond fair. And I was able to look and feel amazing on stage. I recommend her to all my short friends and will continue to use her for all future needs!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Mahin was amazing! My dress was flawless! She fixed the dress so that I was wearing it instead of the dress wearing me! She had so much knowledge and suggestions, but totally understood when you were opposed to something (for any reason, money, preference, etc.).
