For some reason my many year old reviews of this place was deleted. I've had work done here over the last decade, ranging from my wife's 1950's era vintage wedding dress to several more modern outfits that needed alterations. Every time the work has been professionally executed and completed in a timely manner. Was originally recommended by a friend and I drive to Frederick from Baltimore County to have work done here.

Mysty was amazing! Last minute bridal alterations that another seamstress did not get quite right! She made them perfect in the amount of time she had. Also did a fantastic alteration on my dress, mother of the bride, with sleeve alterations! So easy and pleasant to work with! This lady knows her stuff!!! You can tell you are in the hands of master as soon as she asks you to stand on the pedestal in that quaint little shop and gives your dress a careful, professional appraisal. You will even learn many positive things about your body and why the dress sits on you as it does. You will be offered several alternative solutions. As soon as she gets out the pins and starts to tuck, a miracle will start to happen right before your eyes. Suddenly, your dress sits on you just as you imagined it could but did not think there existed someone in Frederick with the skill to make such a transformation possible. You will be amazed and delighted. Apart from her master craftsmanship, Misty's own professionalism and sweetness of nature will charm you and draw you back.

Mysty is an excellent seamstress! My husband needed some new suits fitted, and we found Mysty through an online search. My husband is very hard to fit, and extremely picky about how his clothes need to fit. Mysty got totally got it, and was able to get the suits to fit perfectly. Alterations Plus is a small business owned and operated by a wonderful and talented seamstress who takes the time to explain each and every modification she will do to your garment. I really appreciated her professionalism and the quality work that she performed on my dress. The seamstress at "Alterations Plus" is also the sole proprietor/owner. I have found her to be both pleasant and professional. She has done an excellent job repairing two extremely fragile quilts for me. She has done an equally fine job altering a winter coat and two pair of trousers for me. Her prices are fair, especially when the high quality of her work is considered. She is, and will remain, my only seamstress for alterations and tailoring as long as I am in Frederick, MD.

The shop owner acts as if she's doing her customer a favor. Annoyed that I didn't have an appointment even though her google maps shows business hours and says nothing about appointments only. It took weeks to hem two shirts, she charged extra for paying w a credit card (which was never disclosed) and then lectured me about credit card security after asking to see my ID twice. Will not go back. I see your response...Warning sarcasm ahead! After thinking about it, You are absolutely right. I suppose my opinion as a customer, how I was treated and being untruthful about your fees is no big deal. There's really is no need to ask yourself if I have a valid point of view. It should also be reassuring to all your customers that you're an expert on credit card security. W/ a chipped credit card, a faded signature on the back really does require special attention. And asking with an annoyed tone of voice for ID twice really does make sense after all. Lastly, I appreciated you taking the time to education / lecture me on credit card security. Despite the fact I travel all over the world on business, I found your "folksy" insights illuminating. The next time I want to be hen-pecked while spending money I'll be sure to stop in.

Grrrr I'd anyone in littleton is looking to get anything altered/ fitted. DO NOT GO to the place called Alterations Plus. They are by far the worst company I have ever had to deal with in my life and worst customer service and work. They messed up on my dress seems looked horrible uneven. And on top of everything rude. And cheapskates. And they never had my dress done when promised and having my dress for almost 2 weeks. And then didn't start yet and told to come back in a hour. This happened 3 times you first two times after I dropped my dress off and then when I went to pick it up after them offering to fix it.they said they would give me full refund and then I get dress finally and they don't give me full refund. And argued saying they gave half of it when I first paid for the dress, which they never did, no cash nor credit returned back to my card.

Mysty is a lovely, wonderful, caring seamstress. I have known her for over 20 years. Mysty wants you to look beautiful in any garment you are wearing and goes the extra steps to insure you feel it!! For one of my "little black dresses" she took the extra time to sew in lingerier straps!! I just took my mother of the bride dress to her last evening for alterations, if necessary. Upon inspection by Mysty she was honest and said "other than steaming its perfect, I wouldn't even change the hemline." Mysty even showed me how to properly zip up my gown!! If that isn't honesty and dedication I don't know what is!! Her new location is easy to get to in Thurmont and well worth the travel!! Mysty will also be doing my daughter's Maid of Honor dress, which WILL need altering. Her prices are well worth the quality of service.
