Awful. I’ve never taken time to review for anyone but I hope I can save someone else’s time and money. ESPECIALLY a potential bride. Do not go to her if you’re a bride!! She was extremely unprofessional. From the first fitting I felt that she didn’t pay attention to Everything I said I needed done. During the first meeting I specifically showed her the extra package of beading my dress came with, my dress is from A well-known high fashion designer and so you can’t just go buy the same beading at a hobby lobby. I also told her in my first meeting That I needed Each side near my chest of the dress to be fixed, that I needed a bustle, and then I needed the straps adjusted, and of course the length. A week after my initial fitting she said my dress is ready. When I go to pick up my dress, I do a 2nd Fitting to make sure everything looks right. She adjusted the length, and fixed a strap but the straps were still loose and too big. The dress still wasnt altered correctly to the fit I needed. No big deal I thought- I’ll just ask her to make the corrections. During this 2nd fitting, I noticed that the beading wasn’t fixed like I asked for during the intial fitting. I pointed that out to her and she acted surprise that I needed beading done..I asked where the extra beading was that came with my dress. she said that she just “tosses” the tags of a dresses and probably threw it away! I was so upset because I specifically showed her the extra beading that was attached to the tag of my dress and she just acted like that conversation never happened AND was so not apologetic for throwing away the beading. She also told ME to find extra beading and super glue it on myself?? On top of that- she didn’t create the bustle (like I asked for during the 1st fitting) and she acted surprised again that I needed a bustle. Again, I thought to myself “okay annoying but no big deal she can fix all this”. Nope. I go on for the third Time now. A few days before me going in for the final fitting, she told me to come anytime that day during her business hours and my dress will be ready. I text when I’m on my way and I show up five minutes earlier than when I said I would be there. I walk into her house and I’m literally sitting in her living room watching her make my bustle in front of me because it was not done. It was extremely upsetting because she clearly was rushing and the dress was clearly not done. I asked her if I need to come back later in the day because I didn’t want her to rush making a bustle and fixing my dress (especially in front of me!), she got a little snappy and said “well this is why I asked you to come between 11:45-12 because I knew I’d get it done by then”... I literally arrived at 11:40. As if I’m the problem with her time management? As I’m waiting for my bustle to be finished, her friend/boyfriend/ whoever he is literally comes In the same room completely SHIRTLESS. So uncomfortable for a customer to have deal with that. Anyways, she “makes” the bustle and it looks horeible. Also literally Everything else that I needed done on that dress was not corrected it didn’t even looked touched. I had to leave there immediately and go to another place and when I went to the new alterations place they found a giant hole that she created on my dress!! On top of that, the room that she has you go in doesn’t have a door knob. So unprofessional and extremely uncomfortable and there’s barely any room in there. I’m all about small businesses and working from home but there is a right way to manage that and a wrong way and she is VERY MUCH incapable of handling her business in a professional, trust worthy and reliable manner. I paid $300+ for her to literally do nothing for my dress and cause me so much more stress. On top of that, she didn’t do my MOH, jr bridesmaids and my moms dress correctly either.

The items I brought here were not altered and I had clothes that fit unevenly. And because Stephanie runs this business from a private household, all my alterations were returned with a bunch of dog hair all over them. She also was unfriendly when I asked about the pricing, which seemed arbitrary and uncompetitive with more professional alteration businesses.

Stephanie has altered many pieces of mine including a bridesmaid dress, a sheath dress, and dress pants. Most recently she altered a cocktail dress for an event and it came out a little too tight. I dropped by her place the following day and within an afternoon she let the dress out and it fit perfectly - free of charge and a SUPER quick turnaround for an event the following day. I'm so very happy with Stephanie and will continue to see her for all my alterations needs!
