Cynthia is awesome!!! I found her place by chance. I'm short, just 5'2' and I needed to make my dress shorter. It was my WEDDING dress. I think ladies understand me. To trust your wedding dress to somebody.... I checked a few places before, but wasn't satisfied. I came to Cynthia with three days until my wedding. My handmade gown (made by my elderly grandmother) had several serious problems and I was absolutely distraught. Not only did Cynthia promise me she could fix the overwhelming number of issues in time for the wedding, but she also comforted me as I tried to keep it together. Less than 24 hours after I dropped off my dress, Cynthia had it ready for me to pick up. It was PERFECT and she didn't take advantage of me financially due to my situation. I received a Kurta (Indians men's garment) as a gift from a friend after her visit to India, and needed to have some alterations made so it would fit better (I'm a skinny guy, and most clothing off the rack fits too loose and baggy). Having never had any clothing altered before, I simply had to trust the positive reviews I found for Cynthia. She did not disappoint! I just picked it up and it fits perfect now; a very flattering, custom-fitted look! Hoping to start wearing it to local Indian festivals and celebrations (I hear Navaratri is coming up in October :) ).

Cynthia has become my only taylor in just a short while. The work she does is quick and of great quality. She is also a generous person I have fallen on hard times and I needed a suit for a wedding and ended up buying one from the salvation army she did the best she could but you could tell it was a second hand suit. Well earlier this year a man dropped off a better quality suit to Cynthia and told her she could keep it and sell it, well rather than sell it she donated it to me so now I have a matching suit when I need one again. Sorry for the personal story, I just want anyone who reads this that she truly cares about her customers. So please if you need any type of tailoring done please go to Cynthia's, you won't be disappointed.

Took a floor length dress to have it shortened into a cocktail length. Went to pick it up on designated day, it was not ready because after having it for three weeks she did not have the right thread color. Went back the next day and the hem was all over the place. The dress was shorter on one side than everywhere else, lining was hanging down under the chiffon in some places. When I said I couldn't wear it like that, she started pinning it, but just wasn't getting it. At that point the dress was ruined! I took it to a seamstress, who knows what she is doing and she could have straightened it out, but because of the short side it would have been too short. I am now searching for material so a new skirt can be made. Bottom line, a very expensive lesson, ($65, paid in advance). I should have known when she didn't measure from the floor, but I assumed someone who charged that much to hem a dress, knew what she was doing! Wrong! DON'T GO THERE!

First time going to her, I needed my prom dress shorted I called her the same day I needed it shortened she got me in right away mind you my prom was the next day, she had it done by 2pm on my prom day perfect timing! DONT GO HERE! I took my thousand dollar wedding dress to Cynthia to have it hemmed, a bussle added and a belt sewn on. A month later I went to pick the dress up and she put someone else's dress in the changing room. I explained "That's not my dress" and she said "oh I made a mistake, I did the wrong dress" I asked nicely "okay, so is my dress ready?" And she said no that she had not even started it. She told me to come back in 3 hours and it would be ready. We i went back the dress was still unfinished. I asked for a discount and she agreed to take $30 off. When I returned the 4th time, she refused to take the $30 off. Then said I was bullying her and called the police, and ran my dress to the back of her store. YES, SHE CALLED THE POLICE OVER ASKING FOR $30 OFF! The police arrived and she admitted she made a mistake but still refused to discount it. Needless to say it was the most expensive alteration ever and she was so unprofessional and rude! Really, what business owner behaves that way?
