I cannot believe how beautiful Rose fixed my dress! I brought her a dress that I wanted to wear to my son's wedding but the bottom half looked terrible she worked magic! I tried it on she told me what she was going to do in about a week later my dress is transformed into something I will be proud to wear! Rose did our bridesmaids dress alterations we sent the girls with there slips to pick up the dresses. They couldn't find them they looked for 45 minutes first they tried to give us the wrong dress, then they tried to say that we were confused (the dresses we're green ours were blue) finally they found the right dresses. The hems were a mess they were long in back and short in front. Would not use for formal events and certainly would never wait till the day of an event to do pick up. They did do some hems for my husband's work pants that have stood the test of time but that's all I give them

[Update] Rose earnestly contacted me after my original poor review here to inquire about her service. She was apologetic and wanted to see what she could do to rectify the situation. So, I have to say that I was pleased with her contacting me and her genuine effort to make things right. But, I feel compelled to provide an open and transparent review of what happened and my experience. After initially placing a detailed request with her on how I wanted my road cycling vest zipper replaced, I picked up the garment from her which was prepared on time. But, she did not fix the garment according to the agreement of my specific request on how the repair should be completed. Rose did subsequently complete the repairs on a second attempt, but I must admit I am not entirely happy with how the repair was made and the fact that it had to be sewn on a second attempt. So, my advice is to be detailed in your request with Rose and ensure it is documented in writing so it can be done right on the first attempt.

Rose is the person to go to if you have NO IDEA what to do about alterations with your dress. She is straightforward and knowledgeable. The only complaint I had was the shop gave my boyfriend the wrong dress when he had to pick it up for me, BUT that was quickly resolved. I will go back!

Summary: late, stubborn, took shortcuts, expensive. I decided to give her try even though her reviews on here were less than stellar. I had two simple shirts she insisted on not going any tighter but adding a few darts. She was also not listening to what I was asking for. Went in and she wasn't finished. Went back and she still wasn't finished. Waited and then she used wrong color and did single stitch and charged me for double. I have used much better custom tailors.

Rose is a great tailor for men’s clothes. She did a sport coat and a 3-piece suit. She turned it from a baggy, boxy jacket and suit, to a slim, perfectly custom-fitted, modern look. She does excellent work.

She did a marvelous job turning a much too large complicated (multi layer/ lace) wedding dress into a "fit's like a glove" wedding dress. Don't let the fact that she takes zero measurements scare you- her eyes must have laser tape measures in them, cause the dress fit perfectly. I also had her do alterations on a vintage mumu that was very important to me, she was gentle with the thin fabric, and turned it into a fitted shapely gem. Got both done with two separate fittings for very reasonable price ($350)

Brought a strapless gown in to have the bodice portion taken in and she ruined the whole gown! Cut most all of the beautiful silk skirt to make it mermaid style, which I never requested & looked absolutely horrible.She wanted over $150 payment. Never, ever, ever again. Beware!
