Poor advertisement. My husband got me a gift card for Mother's Day during a special they run for a massage and facial. I couldn't schedule both same same so I waited to get a facial. I was charged an extra $25. I just called to ask how much a facial was and was told $55. I was charge $95. They just told me it was because it was considered my second appointment there. Their website states your first FACIAL is $55. My first appointment was for a massage and I couldn't schedule a facial because they conveniently didn't have any appointments! SCAM!

They really catered to my specific pain areas. After I told them where my problem spots were we decided to mainly focus on my back shoulders, neck and arms. They did deep tissue massage which really helped me.

Massages and facials are great, and they have real professionals on staff. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because I can never get through on the phone lines to schedule an appointment and they often have glitches on the web regarding scheduling. After 20 minutes online trying to schedule online, I call and get diverted straight to voicemail. I have seen others come in claiming to have reserved online only for the receptionist to say it didn't go through.

booking a massage should in and of itself not be stressful, but due to website issues and about 15 phone calls with their tech support, management, and owner problem still not resolved..... found another place slightly more expensive but way better quality experience all the way around... you get what you pay for with these guys.... very shoddy customer service from corporate to locally owned franchise..... avoid this place if you are not on a budget, worth it to me to go elsewhere. They need to fix the website, have better customer relationship management, more availability for deep tissue massage. you can find better quality for just a little bit more in price, suggest going elsewhere if you can afford it - not worth it to me..... had 3 massages, one good, one poor, and one average at best..... they don't care about the customer and make it very difficult to cancel membership too.....

My girlfriend went here 1 time and they signed her up for a $700 membership without her consent. After speaking with the manager, they refused to refund her money and she had file fraudulent charges through her bank. When she was finally refunded the money, they billed her for another $700. This business has no respect for their customers. If you visit here make sure to check your bank account

**Update: After our first visit the manager called to remedy the situation. She offered us some appealing options so we returned. They really came through this time and we had a very positive experience. John was exceptional for me and Julie was great for my wife. If I'm rating the business it's a one star. If I'm rating my massage therapist Heath, it's a five star. I'll split the difference and call it a three star. Our first appointment was canceled by Massage Envy. This would normally not be a problem but this business charges you half the cost of the services you schedule if you cancel an appointment within 24 hours of your appointment. We were notified ONE HOUR before our appointment to let us know our appointment was canceled. This is after i already took off work and we had scheduled a babysitter for our child. How would Massage Envy make up for this apparent lack of respect of others time? They offer one free enhancement for my wife and I. This seems trivial and not on par with the inconvenience of our one hour notice of cancellation, but I try not to be a whiner. The day of our next appointment comes and thankfully we're not cancelled on again. My wife and I select our free enhancement and go into the room for our massage. My massage therapist Heath was fantastic and was the only reason this review isn't a one star review, because here's the kicker, they apparently 'forgot' to tell our massage therapists about both of our enhancements. They failed to deliver on both!!! This is a poorly run business with absolutely no concern for the inconvenience they cause you. They're only concerned if you inconvenience them, and you will pay richly if you do so. They apparently don't hold themselves to their own standards.

UPDATE! I had my second prenatal massage at this location October 24th 2018 at 34 weeks 4 days along. I went back to this location because I had a prenatal massage with my sons pregnancy here. I had a different massage therapist this time due to the previous massage therapist moving away. I was referred by a few coworks and friends to go to see this lady (Kris, or Chris) and she did great for the most part. She asked me what key areas to focus on or if I’d like a full body massage. I told her my lower back, gluteus, and feet. She mainly focused on my neck and shoulders so this was confusing. Also she didn’t check to see if I was comfortable at any point. I actually felt sore after leaving and wasn’t sure it was a normal “sore”. By the time I was home about 2 or 3 hours later I was actually bruised around my neck/upper shoulders. I’m very sore today, being 24 hours later. The rest of my body feels fine, but my neck and shoulders hurt extremely bad. It also confused me that when I left she said my lower back and gluteus were the tightest muscles on my body so I’m not sure why she didn’t focus there? I’m very disappointed that I was actually hurt and have bruises! To add my appointment was for 11:00pm and I wasn’t seen until around 11:20pm/11:30pm for my 1 hour appointment. I actually got there 10 to 15 minutes early and still didn’t get seen on time. I’m not sure I’ll be going back and if I do I will check into a new massage therapist to go to. I was contacted 2 days after my appointment to here I’m sorry but that massage tharapist is our deep tissue massage tharapist if she feels a knot or right muscle she will try to work it out. Just remember next time you’re in to let them know if it’s to hard or to soft. Also they hoped I was okay and the nursing was going away. I find the apology a little odd and I also find it odd that with a prenatal massage they would even do deep tissue massage. I’m not one to write bad reviews usually but this really upset me. The lady was great over all she was very nice and she did make my body feel good but she was very hard on my neck and shoulders. That’s all the more I have to say.

Went to Tasha for a Chemical Peel and had the most AMAZING experience. She is truly amazing and does her job so well! The atmosphere is very relaxing and comfortable! Everyone there was so friendly and positive! I can't wait to see Tasha again next month! My skin has never felt or looked better! Bye bye makeup! For all your skin care needs, you have to see Tasha! She's the best!!!

I ALWAYS have a great experience at Massage Envy in Motown. I do have a membership, and tend to add enhancements to my services. Today, Lora did my massage, and Rebecca did my facial. Both women were amazing and professional. After having a knee replacement last month I was nervous to let anyone near my body. Both ladies were extremely accommodating and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. The girls up front are super friendly, as well! I have never experienced any of the issues that are in the negative reviews, so please don’t let them discourage you from visiting this location. I have been going here at least once a month, sometimes twice, for the last year and am always well taken care of.

Made 4 attempts at a couple massage only to have all of them canceled. One of which was canceled when we were walking in after an hour drive. Tried calling their customer support number on their corporate site only to be told that they aren't really a part of massage envy just handle their technical support.

The worst massage place ever, especially if you are looking to get a membership. I had two prepaid sessions that I couldn't use until I pay the two other sessions. Because my membership is suspended. The receptionist working to lost your time.

My first experience here was good but after I signed up for the membership it went downhill. The person that signed me up set my next apppointment before the first payment was withdrawn so I had to pay them at that time and then it would come out of my account the following week. They told me it was their mistake and they would leave a note for the manager to call me but she never did. The next week when they called to confirm my next appointment, I told them I needed to reschedule it for a day after they said okay and then called me a day too soon to tell me they charged me a 100% fee for missing my appointment because someone didn't change it in the system. I called to speak to the manager who never called me back the first time they told me they would leave another note for her. I waited until the next day, tried calling again and they told me she would be in that evening. I waited until 6PM and they told me she had already left and she would be back at 8am. SO THEN, i go in to the spa the next morning and ask to speak with the manager, and this is no joke people, but they told me she worked late that night so she wasn't in again. They gave me a HUGE run around and it was very unpleasant. I'm not hard to please and I understand mistakes happen sometimes but it was a disaster.

This was my very first massage experience and I loved it. I was unsure of what to do when I walked in but the staff was very polite and pointed me in the right direction. My masseuse was very sweet and talked to me the whole time and explained everything she was doing. I already have another appointment!

I had a prenatal massage with my first pregnancy at 32 weeks 6 days along. I can’t recall the lady’s name that gave the massage I do know she no longer works there due to calling to setup another appointment with her, she has moved away. This was in October, on the 31st of 2016. It was very relaxing and helped my muscles not be as tight near the end of my pregnancy. She was very kind and asked me if the preasure she was using was to much or to little, and made me feel comfortable always. I almost fell asleep durning the appointment with that being said I feel like that tells the level of relaxation and trust I felt during the appointment.

If you have a hectic schedule and are not able to make appointments monthly so that you can use up the prepays, then I suggest you DO NOT take out a membership with this branch. They will take your money out of your account each month and not give you what is owed to you. They updated their system and none of my information was accurate, which makes me to believe that my bank information was tied to another client. I cancelled my membership with them and suddenly I had all these prepares pop up that was owed to me so, I scheduled to use up those as they were already paid for, I go in for my final service and after the service, the manager say that I owe $95.00 because my appointment was after the length of time of my membership period, for which they took out my final prepay a month before my last service. I feel this branch is robbing people by playing with the amount of services that is owed to the customer. KEEP TRACK OF ALL APPOINTMENTS THAT IS OWED TO YOU because its the perfect scam for Massage Envy- Morgantown branch!!!!

Went here and guy who gave me a massage basically made me uncomfortable the whole session as well as explained to me that he hated his job well that does not make me relaxed at all and then he did not even do what I wanted him to! Smh I'm never going back where do they find they staff smh
