Just had my first Massage Envy massage and I was thoroughly impressed by this clinics friendliness, cleanliness, and the quaility of my 90 minute therapeutic massage given by Michelle. I was greeted by hospitable staff upon my arrival, and my massage started right on time which was executed with the utmost professionalism and sensitivity to comfort. The session was extremely relaxing and the therapist even identified trouble areas as she encountered them. Proceeding the session Michelle gave consulting for continuing treatment wherever I choose to have future massage therapy performed. At no time did I feel pressured to purchase any further services or products - something I appreciate greatly. I will be sure to visit Massage Envy Lynchburg during my next trip to the area! Thank you!!

A few years ago I signed up for a membership, and I have been going regularly ever since! The price is great and the massages are very relaxing. Mark is my favorite therapist out of all the ones I have tried, but everyone is friendly.

I really wanted to enjoy this but I was in tears by the end of it. My best friend got me this massage and i came in with her and we got all set up. I was really excited but as the massage went on, I was shivering, because apparently the tables are supposed to be warm but mine wasn’t turned on. Additionally my masseuse didn’t have enough lotion/ oil on her hands so it felt like skin rubbing on skin the whole time. Even when I mentioned it twice. And there was a point where I felt her nails on my back which was painful and she pulled my hair during the massage. I even told the front people I had a bad experience and they didn’t do anything. Lastly, I went to tell them my name at the desk and they said they didn’t have a transfer in my name, if I hadn’t of asked for her to search again, I would of had to pay. It was an awful experience. I just want hope others have a better first experience, because mine wasn’t great at all. UPDATE: They were so kind and understanding. They gave me a great masseuse, Melody, and she was so kind, and I enjoyed talking to her throughout the massage! I was thankful they took quick action, and that it was done professionally. I was thankful for such a great massage and for the kindness shown after the incident!

Today I had my first MASSAGE at your Lynchburg location with Renee at 900am. My back and legs feel way better. Renee was very nice and we had a good conversation. I highly recommend MASSAGE ENVY!

I signed up for the membership when I became pregnant. I have seen almost all of the certified pregnancy therapists. They all have different strengths and weaknesses. Great conversationalists if you want to chat, but also respectful with no talking. I have had a great experience and felt confident with each person during my pregnancy. Now that I have had my baby I continue to go back for therapeutic massages to work out trouble areas. I have never had a bad experience and their services fit our budget.

When I signed up, I was told on phone that I could cancel anytime I wanted. I ask that question iof everything that has monthly terms due to the manner of my work. Called to cancel as I am not using the membership, was told I cannot cancel until December!! Told Taylor, that's not what I was told when I agreed to the membership and she, without using the word liar, called me a liar. She went on to say, I was not lied to upon signing up but may have been given "incorrect information" but even with admitting that she refused to cancel my contract!!!!! BEWARE!!!!!!

Today I treated my MAMA with a total massage and it was her first time. Everyone at massage envy old forest road treated my MAMA AS A QUEEN she was bragging extremely PROUD of the family atmosphere she stated that the staff was so very friendly and attentive to her every need she just thoroughly enjoyed herself. Oh! How wonderful! I love a little pampering. Warm, calming, relaxing massage and foot scrub! They are so very nice and welcoming here. They send you to a wonderful, low lighted room that has spa music and a tv fireplace while you wait for your therapist. When you get to your room you can talk as little or as lot as you want. They are sure to cover all your needs for the visit..... aching back, hurt shoulder, sore feet.....etc! Add aromatherapy, foot scrub, and more! ❤❤❤

Oh how I could go on. This is a chain and you will be treated like such. I signed a one year contract. That's all....one year. Primarily because I was guilted/bullied into it after my first session. Daunting sales pitch. They got me. Throughout the year I had difficulty scheduling as there was masseuse shortages and they like you to book out very far. I understand, but my schedule is not that I book massages far out. I had a disaster session where a well meaning masseuse worked on me a little too hard and I wasn't walking for 2 weeks. (I'm a pretty fit person). I had to go to a muscle therapist to get fixed. My larger problem is the condescending attitude of the front desk. When I visited for my last sessions I stood in front of 4 girls at the counter, one of which was grilling me as to whether I would renew my year. I said I was unsure. She gave me a lot of "monthly obligation" information and spoke so fast I could not make my decision on the spot. But repeatedly asked me standing there very loudly "SO YOU WANT TO CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP????!" She gave me time to consider and when I called to schedule my final visit (WHICH WAS COVERED UNDER MY YEAR) she told me they had to charge me for additional months because I had not cancelled sooner. They are rude, condescending and I have given up my last massage. I don't even want it. So...... warning..... THIS IS A CHAIN. TURNOVER IS HIGH. Go elsewhere, there are a lot of massage options in Lynchburg.

I had a wonderful massage in May 2018 at Massage Envy Lynchburg. I would love to give a 5 star review, but was very disappointed in how my father was treated by the welcome staff. My father came with me to get his own massage the same day and was spoken to in a condescending, disrespectful manner by a woman at the welcome desk. My father is older and has some hearing issues. When asking questions and giving directions to my father, she would roll her eyes, laugh, and look at me if he didn't hear or understand her. Also, when he had a question about the tablet log-in system, instead of answering his question, she grabbed the tablet from him, made a disrespectful comment about his inability to complete the log-in, and curtly asked him the remaining questions. My father is a smart man who is very tech capable. The way he was treated was horrible. I wish I had addressed it at the moment and would be happy to speak with anyone in management that would like to discuss it with me to prevent other people from being treated in a similar manner in the future. Thank you for addressing this issue. UPDATE: The owner contacted me and addressed the issues that my father experienced. It was handled very professionally, and I am gladly changing my review to five stars. Thank you!
