Never get a wax here. I will never go here, again. I went to get an underarm wax. The staff were incredibly friendly; however, they seemed more concerned with who was parking in their parking lot than anything else. I actually had to tell them which one was my car because I was worried they might try and tow it during my appointment. I was not impressed by the service at all. The owner is the only one who does waxing and she was incredibly careless with my appointment. At first I was impressed at how quickly she did the job...but I did notice that she reused portions of the waxing paper - which is a big no-no. Her waxing method was very harsh and much more painful than other waxings I have had in the past. She then proclaimed that not a hair remained and I, trusting her, didn't bother to look since it is always so red afterwards, anyway. She left an incredible amount of wax residue on my skin and I was so uncomfortable that by time I got home (5 minutes later), my shirt was sticking to my skin. I then had to wash the skin to get all the residue off and that's when I noticed...she didn't even get half of the hairs! For the pain and money I had to go through to get the procedure done - there should not have been any hairs left. Every other professional I have been to would use a tweezers on any strangler hairs to ensure all were removed. I have nothing good to say about this service and I do not recommend waxing at this salon.

This was the best experience I have ever recieved in a Salon and Spa. I was greeted immediatley upon arrival. They offered me something to drink and eat as I waited for my spa day to begin. The lobby was full of hair product and fashion accessories! The receptioist was so helpful in talking to me about the latest product that had arrived. All my services were outstanding from massage, pedi,facial to new hairstyle and makeover. I was pleased to see that they carry bare minerals! I would definately reccommend El Haijj to everyyone. Being from the West Coast and having experienced many Day Spas, it is most obvious that this owner takes great pride in serving the public in making it the most postitive, professional envireonment. I will be back!!!!

Maybe it's because I've been other places in other states idk. I wasn't impressed. The massage was ok but was nothing like I've experienced before. My haircut was awful and overall everyone was polite but I would rather spend my money somewhere else.

El Haijj also offers various other services, such as a hair and nail salon! Must visit this paradise for yourself!!

The single WORST experience in a salon of my life! I made an appointment for highlights, having virgin light brown hair a little below the shoulder. The young (and I'm 22, so perhaps immature is a better description) lady who barely attempted to help me proceed to explain that highlights require bleaching -which is terrible for hair- and to avoid it at all costs, so I should perhaps try to get red highlights like her (her hair is a lovely "punk" red/black shade, but not for me). I agreed to just go lighter brown (I literally had 5-6 grey hairs I wanted to cover up -yes, I started greying in high school). She literally used my face as a surface to paint the dark brown hair dye all over my head. She didn't put her hand or a foil between my face and the hair. She would lay the hair on my cheek and proceed to paint it brown there. My cheeks, forehead, etc were stained with dark brown dye for 3-4 days after (even with aggressive exfoliation) and were faintly there beyond a week. She was so unprofessional and left me there with dye everywhere to go smoke. I asked another employee for a manager. The other stylist I asked for help came over and tried to wipe some of the dye off my face, before going to contact the manager. The manager was a very timid, shy woman (who really has no business being a manager). She looked at my face and hair and agreed this wasn't up to par with their work, but that the stylist was going through a lot... She continued to attempted to remove the dye from my face, then left to go get the stylist. My stylist returned angry that I had complained, was very rude and kept offering to cut my hair -I declined. The manager had since disappeared. She proceeded to wash out my hair (very awkward) and seemed to think I would change my mind about the cut. I literally left with soaking wet hair, uncut, unhighlighted, and dark brown stains all over my face. I went to the register as my stylist said "Fine, whatever." When I arrived at the register, the owner was there, but was gossiping with the cashier and didn't make eye contact or acknowledge me, in fact, leaving the room. I explained to the cashier what happened (as she looked as my wet hair and stained face with sympathy) and she called my stylist over to the register to ask for an amount. My terrible stylist looked at me with disgust and said $150. If I had cash, I would have paid less, but I was paying by credit card and was shocked at the amount. I asked to speak to the manager again or owner and after about 10 minutes was told they were not available. Eventually, I just paid and left. I had been to this location about once every 6 weeks before this happened. I told the cashier, even though I lived about 5 minutes away, I would not return and would persuade all my friends NOT to go there. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I could have overlooked the inexperienced stylist filled with attitude if the manger or owner had taken some amount of responsibility and tried to make it right. Instead, I was treated so disrespectfully. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!

Not sure why I'm giving Amber five stars because I'll never get in with her!! Amber is one of the best massage therapists I have ever had. Her hands are pure magic. I'd actually give her a 10 plus rating if possible.. I'm so thankful that my husband gave me a gift certificate for my Birthday..

I went with a friend a couple days before my wedding for a massage, pedicure, manicure and wax. They took me for my massage which was nice and relaxing, the best part of the whole day. They had taken me out of order and realized I was supposed to have the wax first so when it came time for my waxing the manager had to do it which obviously a waxing is never enjoyable! haha I was ok with that but when I had my manicure she did a TERRIBLE job!!! I wanted a simple french tip on my orignal nails. I ended up doing it myself and I did a million times better than the so called "professional." The pedicure was ok. Overall the experience was rather hectic and unorganized and I was not satsified but being the quiet type I paid and left the shop without a word. I regret that but I can at least let others know so they don't waste their money here!!!!!

I have severe neuropathy, diabetes and severe spinal stenosis and am in chronic pain all the time. Never had massage therapy before, always having needles injected into my spine or electrical current to try to stimulate my muscles and nerves. I went there on March 27, 2015 and had a therapy for 60 minutes and was so relaxed that I havent felt in years. I didnt want to move or leave I was completely relaxed and actually slept 9 hours when I returned home. I never sleep more than 3 hours at a time due to my conditions. The therapist that worked on me was Amber Crisp, most pleasant, friendly and hard working girl I have met. She deserves more than five stars but thats all this offers. I made another appoinment with her, she put me at ease and into another world where there was no pain. Thank you Amber.

Coming from someone who is new to the area and loyal to good service, this place was wonderful! Got a massage last minute and they got me in. The masseuse was great! He was about healing and not about $$ for sure. He asked me about my pains and what was going on and helped a lot! Suggested to come back in a few weeks and to let them know so he could research some techniques for my special needs due to lower back injuries. Front desk was polite and wonderful! Will be coming back for sure!

Although the massage I received at this salon was very good, it is criminal to charge someone for a 50 minute massage and yet only give them a 35 minute massage. The masseuse likely recognized the shortage because I noticed that her small clock was turned around when I was finished and it had been facing outward when the massage started.

My wife and I went there fir abcouoles massage and it was great. Only thing if you ask for a deep tissue massage be prepared to be sore the next day. Lol
