Cute salon and nice atmosphere. HOWEVER! They're over priced for the quality of hair services. Some of the stylists don't use professional tools even though they're expecting you to pay nearly $200(demi color and trim) On top of that, if you need to cancel less than 24 hours in advance, they try to charge you half the service cost. They will also neglect to tell you this when the appointment is made. An employee actually told me that if you want to cancel and they haven't saved your credit card information in order to charge you the cancellation fee, you aren't allowed to come back! As if I would want to!! Don't waste your money here.

Have had nails and toes done too. Aaron always does a great job. Massage treatments are always so relaxing. If you are on Whidbey Island you need to spend your spa time here. Excellent rating in my book.

Another Salon had accidentally over booked me so day of appt (after I found childcare and dropped the little guy off) I called about 9 different places. All booked. Amazingly, this salon got me in and made me feel like I was on a vacation retreat the minute I walked in the door. Everything from start to finish was beyond welcoming and comfortable. Not the best experience. Reception area was very noisy and crowded with merchandise. When I checked out, the front desk gal was chewing something like I interrupted her dinner. She wasn't really friendly. I'm not sure I want to go back. Thought it was a little over-priced for experience more like a gift shop than a spa. My esthetician was sweet though and did her best. She saved the whole experience. Waxing was a little rough on my eyebrow area, but the shape turned out great. So overall experience was some good, some bad. Not sure I want to go back.

What a magical day!! We had the seaside restorative escape that included an awesome massage by Lauren, a Eminence facial by by super star Megan ,a manicure/pedicure by Amy and a catered lunch. We felt so pampered and like royalty.Everyone was so friendly and accommodating . Will definatley be back!

DO NOT GO TO SEASIDE SALON AND SPA IN COUPLEVILLE, WA. I would've even be so mean as to send my worst enemies there. On the first visit Sarah Leavell lightened my hair twice and I left a blonde as to not damage my hair further. During both appointments I told Sarah that I knew my hair was going to be damaged and to cut as much as was needed off. A few weeks later I went in (may 26, 2016) to finish the process so she lightened it 1 more time then took me to the reddish pinkish brassy color which I was perfectly fine as it was a shade of rose gold however no haircut was preformed. No matter what the salon or Sarah says I was never told the color they put on was a SEMI permanent color. Had I known that from the start I would've NEVER started the whole process. Let's take a flashback real fast, I went to cosmetology school and understand how all these processes work and am smart enough to ask the right questions when dropping major bucks on my hair. I was straight up lied to! Ok back on track. A week and a half pass by and then I wash my hair for the first time and ALL of the color washed out. I was told eventually the color would fade back to blonde then I'd need to come in for a touch up in and I quote " about a month or two " When I called the salon the inform them of what happened I expected an apology at the least at best they should've said for me to come in and they will rediposit color for only the cost of product and do a haircut at no cost. Instead I was told by the owner of the salon Erin that I was told it was going to wash out and she suggested I go on Amazon to purchase products like color deposit shampoo and conditioner. In what world is that professional? If a customer/client leaves unhappy wouldn't you do everything in your power to make them happy? There was no way I was going to drop another $45 on my hair that shouldn't have ended up like this in the first place. Remember how I said I went to cosmetology school, well I am a certified makeup artist and have access to salon centric so I drove up to Bellingham and purchased redkin permanent colors 8gr and 8 rv mixed them up and put it on. Now y'all the more you lighten your hair and deposit color the more you are blowing open the cuticle and damaging your hair. It can get so bad it will melt your hair. That's where mine was. After I did my own color I went to the only place where I have ever had a good haircut on this island which happens to be supercuts. We had to cut 3 or 4 inches off and it still is extremely damaged. When I did my color I made it more red to combat the brassiness that I was left with. this morning (June 21, 2016) it's after a few washes and I am happy with where it's at as far as color goes. As far as the health of my hair, it's going to take a lot to get it healthy again and if I could rock the bald look I would just shave my head and start over.

The receptionist was a bit rude. She offered every other client a drink except me. I also got over charged for a full set of nails that I never received. My nails are natural but it wasn’t worth fighting over. The service and Ana were phenomenal but the price and way I was treated by the receptionist leaves me not wanting to come back.

I went in recently for a haircut and pedicure and I really enjoyed the pedicure, however I am disappointed with my hair experience. Let me first, say this place truly is lovely and Aaron, the director,is incredibly sweet. But I took in a picture of what I wanted and my cut looks nothing like what I asked for. I had very long hair and planned to cut quite a bit off, but the stylist cut it just below my chin when I asked for a bit below my collar bone. She didn't cut it gradually off, or check with me on the length before she chopped it, she just put it in a low pony down my back and chopped it off. So it couldn't be fixed. I mentioned that it was a lot shorter than I was expecting and she just kept telling me I'll have to style it to get the look I wanted (however curling your hair always makes it shorter!) And she was pulling it down while it was wet saying that it touched my collar bone (and again it always shrinks up when dried). After it was all said and done she didn't even style it, which for how much I paid, I kind of figured she would... She was very nice but I feel like she didn't really listen to me when I showed her what I wanted..

Really cute place with friendly staff. The massage and facial specialist were amazing and really did a good job. Unfortunately, the pedicure was mediocre at best. The worst part was the lady doing it didn't paint even one toe nail completely..it looked terrible. In the future of return for massage and facial but definitely SKIP the pedicures.

There are LOTS of places to get a manicure/pedicure on Whidbey Island. You can get your nails done at a place that treats you like a number and gives you the fast food equivalent of a spa service - - - OR you can go to The Seaside Spa and Salon in Coupeville. From the moment you walk in the door, you are welcomed and treated like a guest. The service you will receive is a treatment, an indulgent time just to treat yourself. Lorena is a talented nail technician and gives results like nothing else I have experienced. She is creative and eager to have you leave looking and feeling your best.

This was my first time visiting The Seaside Spa and Salon! What a darling little location it is in! I was instantly greeted with a smile and quick service! I showed up with almost no time to spare, (fault on my part!) and they were focused on making sure the intro was quick so I could get the most out of my massage time! To be honest, there are really no words that I could use to describe the Experiences that I have had here. For lack of better words Aaron and her staff are Epic-ally Awesome! I used to come here all the time when I lived on Whidbey Island. I always try to make a point to schedule an appt when I come into town, because this is the place to be, to be pampered, to relax and I know I can count on Aaron and her wonderful staff to make that happen! Matter of fact, I am due to come up and get pampered!! :D

very limited gel colors! It makes me so sad to post this the business is broken. I offered to take an appointment that was another customer's cancellation, on short notice. I was told it was on friday via phone and happily marked my calendar... then received a call on the day prior stating I would be charged for missing my appointment... someone else's appointment! I was told I should have known the appointment was on a different day than i was initially told based off an email confirmation. I never signed up to receive email or text as primary confirmation... yet starting this week the salon decided that how they should start contacting me? If you have a record of calling your customers with a confirmation 24hrs before, that's what they will come to expect. A misunderstanding that could have been solved by making a confirmation call, as specified in customer my file... resulted in a lost & hurt customer. For 2 years I was a loyal customer here, always booking in advance. I've paid full cancelation fees when it was my goof with no grief... my fault, not theirs. The salon runs a bad business, they hire almost entirely apprenticeship pay level nail artists, despite their experience & force their artists to buy their own colors and nail art supplies out of pocket. Shame on the the owner of this place for taking advantage of their employees & throwing away happy customer's like yesterdays trash. Say what they want but the staff roll-over here speaks for itself. I definitely understand the means girls club reputation.

I went to the Seaside Spa and Salon for my trial hair + makeup and day-of for my wedding. After my trial, I really wasn't sure how I felt about the whole thing. I was kinda on the fence. But I knew what I wanted to change and had confidence, that on the day-of, my hair and makeup would be great. It was great. I explained what I wanted, they listened, and I have no regrets. I would go back and do it all over again. Thanks ladies! I did wish they had an online look book so I could see what makeup and hair they have done before. I do not live close to the salon and it would have been helpful.

This was my first time to Seaside Spa and Salon. Megan did a great job on my eyebrows by creating a nice arch while not taking too much off. Maranda did an amazing job with my color and cut. It's a little nerve-racking when you move to a new area and need to find a new colorist/stylist so I was really happy to find someone really good on my first try. She's also just a really nice person so you feel at ease explaining how you would like your hair done. The other women who were getting their hair done left looking really great too so I'm thinking they must have a great team at this salon. I am planning on trying their other services as well because it's such a nice, relaxing environment.

I came in for a long haircut. I arrived about 10mins early and Miranda sat me down right away. She was friendly and a joy to chat with, as well as professional and did a fantastic job! She understood and cared about what I wanted and made sure I was happy every step of the way. I have a LOT of hair and she handled it like a champ! Over the last 3 years, I've had a couple massages and hair services (full foils, cut, style), and have been impressed with everything. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is super cozy. I live 30 minutes from Seaside, so driving all the way down to a little cozy place where someone takes care of me for an hour or more is like a mini vacation. It's right by the water, so you get that feeling of freedom just being in the area. A great place to escape to if you get the chance. ♥️

This review is long overdue, however it had to be done. Naomi did such an incredible job with my hair! I've never quite trusted hair stylists in general so booking Naomi to completely bleach and dye my hair was huge for me. I walked in super nervous but she made me feel so welcomed. She was bubbly and positive and one of the nicest persons I have had the pleasure of meeting. She listened to what I wanted and even patiently looked at all 80 something reference photos I had to show her. If you are looking to get your hair done I highly recommend her. My hair is just as healthy if not healthier than before and looks better than I could have ever imagined. If I could give more stars I would!

Miranda has done my hair twice and both times have been amazing. She fixed a terrible cut I got without sacrificing length and then gave me a 10 foil highlights. Second time she did a balayage and it turned out amazing! She took her time to get it right and. Never once did she try and haggle me for more services or products which is AMAZING. Long post warning : Ok so I recently moved to the island and I was going to the same nail tech for a few years. I like having one person to do my nails, I feel like you create a bond and it is simply more comfortable to me. Needless to say I was new to the island and didnt know where to start . I came across the Seaside Spa and Salon on Instagram and when I saw Lorena's work, I KNEW she was the nail tech for me! I finally got an appointment 2 weeks ago and as soon as I walked in she knew who I was,got me a glass of water and I was in her chair in less than 5 minutes. On top of making me feel completely comfortable, she went above and beyond to make my nails truly fabulous! I let her have creative freedom and I love my set! They are long,strong,glittery and packed with crystals ! I cant wait to go back for my next appointment! Thank you Seaside Spa & Salon! Thank you Lorena!

I love the atmosphere at Seaside. All the massage therapists have been fantastic and offered the stress relief I needed; I’ve only had facials at Seaside and can’t compare to other establishments but I only want to go back there; pedicures are cozy and relaxing and I’ve gone with a good friend—it’s a different experience than nail salons and you can enjoy a coffee while chatting and their products are high end. I do miss the Aveda products they used to carry, but understand change.
