So much fun! Pools and saunas are varied. Cafeteria has great food! Only downside is that it's far from Central DC but worth the drive and price.

SnowCat MacDóbhran

We love this place. Full body soak, full body scrub, some fantastic Korean food, and then a nap. I couldn't ask for anything more.

Sarah Brabbs

A fav thing to do when I'm in DC! We go to the Korean grocery store right there and get a discount on tickets. Easy place to spend several hours, food in the restaurant is good. The salt scrub massages you can buy are nice but beware those ladies use pressure, they really get the dead skin off! The pools and tubs and massaging jets and hot rooms and cold rooms are amazing. Such a unique experience, wish there was one where I live!

mike ggg

Quite a nice experience. The pool type spa was the best, and definitely relaxed me. The premises has a place for you to put your shoes and watch and phone and wallet that is protected in full view of the concierge. You have a key on an expandable wrist fob that is completely waterproof. It's an excellent system. The only thing negative I can say about the spot experience was that in the pool area you get in naked. Apparently you can't wear a swimming suit, and they also mix the ages. So you might be in there with some other adults. And there are kids in there! I don't approve of that, but it is what it

Im going to say I should have did my research better. I wanted to do something special for my boyfriend for his birthday. I didnt know as far as the pool they separate the Male and female so that's the only thing I didnt like. We did a couple massage I loved mine but my boyfriend didn't like his. They have a nice fitness room. Different sauna rooms. Overall the place is nice. They should clean the entrance doors, they were dirty I didnt like that. Customer service was good. Nice place but not for me

Nikki Dycus

The amenities at spa world are amazing! The food delicious, the scrub superb. I will definitely be back.

Spa World is a fantastic spot to unwind. I’ve been multiple times and it’s always a treat. They provide loungewear so don’t worry about bringing special clothes. The Bade pools features jets to melt away all your tension and the ambience is soothing and relaxing. The poultice rooms (similar to dry saunas) help to detox. Note that the massages can be very firm and that wasn’t my favorite so I won’t be getting one again. Also note that in the sex segregated areas, there are no bathing suits allowed so be aware of that. Bottom line, Spa World is fabulous.

Alexander Viadero

Amazing place for social outings and dates.

Alisson Sandi

Best place and amazing service

Tamara Lewis

I was actually pleasantly surprised by the spa. I thought I would get more weirded out by the lack of clothing requirement. Although that requirement only applies in the bath house and in my opinion the saunas are the best part. They have a whole bunch of different saunas with different healing rocks and I feel like a new person after going here.

David Stewart

Get a tour first. Rooms are relaxing. Lots of hunting going on in the naked areas.

Nikki Alexander

I didn't get to enjoy the bath this time. However, the massage was great. I went with friends and we had a great time.

Eugene Kim

Best Korean Spa in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. They also frequently have deals on Groupon which can be combined with any existing promotions. Best to go with a group of friends!

Nathanael DiClementi

Has a blade pool with several saunas. The saunas are unique (I.E. Himalayan salt and charcoal.) Be prepared to be nude however they provide clothing. Also if you smoke they have an indoor room. Very nice experience overall. I would recommend going at night time before 12am.

Caroline Maunakea-Hammonds

I can't believe that I have lived in Northern Virginia as long as I have and only went to Spa World for the fist time last night. You feel like you are transported to a traditional Jjimjilbang in Korea. We got there in enough time to get a bite to eat in the restaurant and really enjoy ourselves. We didn't know what to expect and were pleasantly surprised. We got a groupon, and it went totally seamless. Such a great experience, but you have to be comfortable with nudity to really enjoy yourself. I will definitely recommend it to everyone! Oh yeah, and its completely kid friendly!

I was given shorts and shirt that was so tattered and worn out that it was so uncomfortable throughout my visit there yesterday (3-23-19) I looked around and most of the people who were there was wearing brand new outfits and I don’t know why this worn out pair of outfits was in circulation. It was too much trouble to get dressed again and go back out to the counter to get new shorts and shirt so I just wore it but the elastic on the shorts was so worn that it wouldn’t stay up and the shirt had all kinds of tears and tatters. I have photos of it if you would like to see it But I don’t know how to send them to you. As I was leaving I asked the attendant there, a Korean lady, that maybe this outfit should be retired and showed her the tatters but she seemed disinterested and asked me to put the outfit back in the laundry bin which means it will be re-circulated. Also, the lady who scrubbed me was not very attentive and I felt rushed out of there. She Skipped the soap wash and rince at the end of the scrub. Not a good experience at all.

Fe Balheimer

It takes 2 hours to get there but I had fun relaxing in the hot tub. I already took 5 people that never been there. They loved it.

Annan England

Always clean, professional services. Excellent food. Love the banquet noodle soup!

Bee DoubleU

Relaxing place to visit. Only issue I have is that sometimes a hot tub or some of the jets don't work & are out of commission for long periods of time.

Phyllis Camper

Love going here. Today was my first time trying the body scrub and massage. I've never been scrubbed like that! LOL! It was amazing. I don't think I'll need to shower for a week (just kidding!) I am so relaxed.

Danny Chu

Its my first time ever going to a spa/bathhouse like this and felt that it was a great experience. The pools are large but can become crowded, so often times you'll find yourself waiting for a jet if you come at a busy time. Otherwise there plenty of sitting or standing showers, the saunas also rotate people often. After showering, you'll change into your spaworld uniform and go into the common room which is coed. There you'll find the poultice rooms and restaurant. The poultice rooms in my opinion all feel pretty much the same. With the differences being the temperatures and wall you get to stare at. This is opinion goes for all the rooms except for the "red clay ball room". Which is a hot room full of tiny little beads. I actually slipped and fell upon entering the room. Scratching my leg and knee. The workers all seem to primarily speak Korean. So it was difficult asking for a bandage. I ended up not getting one because I was told they didn't have any. Despite everything though I felt that it was a great visit. The pools we're best part of the experience and I will definitely come back in the future after I heal up.

Nick Altman

Soo the reason it's not a 5 star review is because the massage people for body and foot harass you badly for a tip, even before you can get dressed!! It wasn't even my girl that got harassed for a tip, it was other ladies too. The pools were awesome, the scrubs were awesome, the rooms were awesome, and food was amazing!!! The problem will not be fixed cause it's an on going problem, so if you want to go to relax and have a good time and not get harassed for tips, don't buy anything extra.

Justin M

This was great! I did not know we had stuff like this in the states!

Naturally Nic

Wonderful. Loved it so much!

Erin Brodsky

I went with my sister in law who lived in Japan for the last 18 months and had gotten familiar with their communal baths. I'd never been to a communal bath before and am generally pretty reserved but I felt very comfortable here, and after exploring the different areas, relaxed easily. The ice room does have an unusual smell, as others have mentioned, but it's not overpowering and you don't notice it after a bit. We didn't have a chance to try all the other different rooms, but I really liked how there's a digital thermostat reading above each entry, and above the different pools as well. Everyone kept to themselves and the vibe was super low key. We also had lunch in the restaurant (everything gets charged to your locker key on your wrist so you don't have to carry money around!), the portions were huge and so tasty! I'm definitely planning to go back often

Rj &Bj

Oh my God I just left there today my daughter took me there for a birthday surprise I am 39 years old and let me tell you kids can go and your family can go man can go do you have a female Section a Mail section and everything you see in the pictures is exactly what it looks like it is the best experience you can have I’m telling you and you could be there for 12 hours it might be pricey but please know it is so worth it and you have Groupon

Julia Sandgren

I went to this place yesterday and it was a great experience until I misplaced my wallet. My wallet was found and I continued to stay. Later the same day I returned with a friend that didn’t know anything about the place, was provided with information (through me), and wanted to try it out!! When I got there the employee that was working in the front suggested we smelled like alcohol and could not stay!! I told him that I had drank the night before and due to sweat your body naturally releases toxins through pores. My friend and I were not able to come in. When I asked him how do you determine whether or not a person had alcohol in their system and he didn’t have an answer!! He listed policies regarding the policies which also helps but he DID NOT know on the question asked above. Unless they’re able to have an answer to other customers about this issue I won’t be returning to the facilities let alone any of their locations. I know it’s not the employees fault for not being trained correctly and I apologize if I came off to strong but, management needs to train their employees better because just because it doesn’t happen in this particular location doesn’t mean they don’t have experience with it in others!

Brandi Hershey

This place is amazing! I always feel like a new person when I leave. I had one snag when the office deleted my name under slotted massage, but they made it right. This place is a little over 2hrs. from me and worth the miles. Also great eats close by :)

Ana C

Really unique and awesome experience. I have chronic pain and the sauna water feels amazing.

Nathaniel Heidler

Friendly staff clean facility. Had a hour fitness and massage it was Pure Heaven. If you are looking for peace and quiet and no cell phones and delicious food and a relaxing spa experience this is the place

Stephanie Walltower

This place is absolutely wonderful

Carol R

Awesome place..go every 3 months

SQ Sq

I really wanted a relaxing experience but there were few families with kids who were loud like they were on the beach and the staff did not say a thing. Also, the communication between staff and customers are lacking in a sense that you do not know what to expect as a first time (and last for me) visitor. The staff is not very friendly either. I would not go there again.

Discount_ Trashhh

It's real nice. Not alot of things for kids to do tho. More like a one trip like maybe once a year. Really expensive. But it is relaxing

Ria Sweetraw

Excellent spa experience! Wonderful layout of baths, pools, jacuzzi area and amazing sauna rooms; Amethyst Crystal, Salt (Himalayan), Red Clay (158 degrees) while Blue Onyx Ice room is 48degrees to open pores! One room alkalizes the body (Geranium Blue room), an Oak Charcoal Room to detoxify and relax the mind! There’s a gym, massage services, a juice bar, and a Korean restaurant!!! I had a great time!!! ~ Worth it!!!

Bahirah A

If you're not body conscious and want a place to relax solo or with a friend, this is a great place. The noise level varies with the number of groups in the sauna and co-head spaces, but there's a general understanding that the poulstice rooms are always supposed to be quiet. Newcomers don't always read the room appropriately. Also, this place IS NOT appropriate for anyone younger than 13. Leave your young children at home and be considerate of other patrons. Besides, 104° hot tubs and 112° wet saunas are not appropriate activities or spaces for children. They won't enjoy this place. As always, the wet body scrubs and massages are extra lovely and expectedly expensive. This place is a perfect bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly treat for yourself. There's yummy, authentic Korean dishes, American snacks, and a hot and cold drink bar available for additional purchase. I just really, really, really, really wish they made non-slushie boba teas. I personally think it's the worst version of the otherwise awesome drink. Who wants to fish out their boba out of slush and watered down tea?

Jay Rod214

This place wasn't clean and smelled very bad. Be warned that there is nudity so I wouldn't bring young children.

Jeff Doss

Food is good, massage by Kathy awesome but costs extra, dry side is still good but cleanliness has gone down in the past year. Also entry price for just the sauna side should be made lower in my opinion.

Etude of Memories

I wish a ticket price goes down... except that, excellent experience. Highly recommended

Marion Williams

SPAWORLD was a unique experience. I particularly enjoyed the massage I recieved. I will definitely go back.

JRK JRK

Good, relaxing, scrub and massage were great. Could be cleaner and the trowels could be bigger.

Kitty

I it was not segregated men and women but other than that a good experience. Since it is nude you can't use your phone while in the spa area. Other than that I enjoyed the saunas, the work out room and the cafe inside.

cherie ventura-mejia

The air quality is great, the uniforms they have you change in are clean and available in bigger sizes. They have wide selection of rooms and a nice large area for you to just lay and relax at room temperature. Would recommend to anyone who "doesn't have time" because they are open 24hours

Helena Chansky

I have visited nicer Korean Spas, but I am happy to have one available at all. Worth the 4 hour drive.

L Dub

Very relaxing! Always a good time

Evangelina Montgomery

It was very nice. If you want to remain quiet while there you can. The rooms are unique and do feel great after being there.I. was there for 2 hrs is open 24 hrs, so next time I will go with my hubby try it out is worth the time . There is a restaurant and juicing is available next time I will try the restaurant.. Also they stated Mon and Tues is there slow day.

jeneen garcia

For $40 (or even $20, if you buy $50 worth of groceries at nearby or any H Mart), you get 12 hours of relaxing jacuzzi and a wide variety of sauna rooms (charcoal, stone, ice, salt, amethyst, etc). You can also sleep in the common room with heated floors and mats. Great for solo, family or friends!

Hyun Jung Kim

It would have been better with less people, but the groupon deal had to be used I suppose. Love the place anyway

Martha Griggs

I love spa world, it's so relaxing. I always feel like a new person when I leave. Their services are great and the food is delicious

Aaron W

Amazing experience!! Great hospitality by KJ!! The saunas, uniforms, pool, restaurant and gym area are all clean. This is a great spot to relax and recover on a day off.

Ronan Goforth

Spa World chewed me up and spat me back out. In the best way possible. The neck jets! The little basins in the bade pool where you just float without a care! Being naked around a bunch of middle aged ladies who Do Not Give a Hoot About It! THE SALT ROOM! THE BUBBLE TEA! I love that the uniform they give you looks awful on everyone. I never once felt like I was being sexualized. I could have laid in the red clay ball room for the rest of my life. I want to go back already. My friend and I had a groupon and student discount which made it $22/person, but even the regular price isn't bad. $45 for 12 hours is the cheapest you'll find most anywhere. I'd go back in a heartbeat. I'm taking my mom next time.

Coach Grace

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Spa World. The bade pool is awesome. I always get the spa scrub when I go. I leave feeling relaxed and well scrubbed. The food is very good too. Try the veggie bibimbap.

Learn Arabic

I’ve been coming here for almost a year and love it. One stop for everything: massage, fitness, nap, cafe, juice bar and of course the Bade pool. So worth every penny.

Allison Key

Unbelievable place for healing relaxing reflecting & just chilling! Definitely go here! I love it! You will too!

Tonya Lockwood

Love this place for relaxation, affordability and the food. I enjoy the whole experience.

Young Park

Friendly service and clean environment to detox

Shaun Jones

Very relaxing experience! Would’ve given a full 5 stars, but the cold room smells absolutely horrible. Smells like you just walked into a fish tank or something.. Very pleasant staff though. I do wish that you had the option to get into the pool with a bathing suit vs completely naked however. But I get the “tradition” of it.

Amanda Wolf

An amazing place to spend some time quietly relaxing. With the wife variety of poltice rooms everyone can find one that's just the right temperature. The drinks bar has great boba tea and the restaurant is a great place to grab a good meal.

J Day

Great place! Facilities can beat out some spas I have been to in ASIA! However I was creeped out by the children allowed to play in the pools like it was a water park. One was with an Asian family so it seemed like a cultural norm(father held his hand while walking around), however the other adolescent child was with a man old enough to be my Grandfather and was observed sitting on his lap in a pool several times! NOT A GOOD LOOK IN 2019!

Galina Filatova

Wonderful! I am so happy that come there! New born.

Tiana Cornelius

It's an awesome spa, huge, very affordable ($40 for 12 hours) with lots of different rooms and pools. Feels very authentic Korean style. Highly recommend! The Amethyst Room is a gorgeous rock mosaic and the Red Clay Ball Room is a unique concept that feels amazing. You can tell a lot of care went into designing this place. Don't bring a bathing suit or flip flops. The bathing areas are single sex and nude. You have to wear a uniform in the sauna and restaurant area. No shoes are worn inside. The food is tasty and reasonably priced at $10-14 per entree. It's a total gem in the DC Metro area! Highly recommend!

Darlene Cicerchia

Went to Spaworld for the 1st time today, after many years of talking about going. A friend had been before and we used a Groupon coupon for 4 people. This place is amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful. I bought a 55 minute body scrub/massage and Sunny, my masseuse is the best! Also went and had some food in the cafe. Talk about yummy! I am already planning my next visit.

robert chiarizia

They have it all. Get a Thai massage. Saunas and hot tubs rock. Clay ball room cleansing. Liked the salt room. Food is good but bring $$. Smoothies all ice, pass on them.

Loretta Burford

I was very disappointed after going to king spa in Texas , I thought it would be like that. A lady was walking around pretending like she was taking selfies in the naked area and she was fully clothed. We were told no cell phones in those areas and no clothes. Rules were not reinforced. The ice room smelled moldy. There was no soap to wash with which is mandatory before getting in pools so I had to use shampoo. I would have appreciated seeing Clorox wipes or something to wipe mat off to sit on being that everyone has been sweating and detoxing In saunas. Nothing to wipe head rest with after someone gets up. I had fears of leaving with a possible risk of infection or skin germ and also felt violated by not having my privacy protected with the lady having camera in locker area taking pictures and in nude area. My husband and I went there to celebrate our anniversary together and we didn’t have an area we could have water therapy together with the option of wearing a swimsuit.

Nyrie Nicolai

my husband and I went for date night and it was a great time.

Alicia Taylor

It is a great place to escape the world. I love all the different sauna rooms. The bade pool is awesome. Very clean facility. I will definitely be going back

You Funny Dawg Gaming

I love the staff that works at the front desk they have everything here they even have a smoking area up stairs I think that is really cool & the guy at the front desk he was American man I can tell he is new but so polite and nice always says hello how are you doing today, I hope you enjoy your stay, & then when I leave he says have a great day two times I came in with in 2 weeks this month he said the same thing every time never rude & all ways seems happy I like that I'll be coming in more just because I like the way he handles himself

Mariano Gonzalez Roglich

Great place for a loooong relaxing session.

Amari Saint

Spa World is a Korean Bathhouse. It is an escape to planet Relax!

May Saffar

I’m hooked to their bade pool. You get a lot for your money for sure. You get to enjoy a huge facility at a very cheap price. I had body scrub once and it was painful. My skin was way more than exfoliated and I’m Not doing that again but I’m going back to my favorite pool.

Emily S.

I went to this place for the first time. Me and my friends had a good time relaxing and socializing.

Charlene West

I always have a relaxing and rejuvenating experience at SpaWorld! Loved my massage! Wish it could be longer! My husband and daughter (college) make this a regular family time and well-needed mini retreat. A "must go" place...you will be back!

Marissa Zuckerman

Spa World is incredible and their food is amazing! Could easily spend hours here.

Julia Clark

Wonderful experience. This was my first time here.the skin scrub and the massage were amazing. I love the clay ballroom. Everything there was just simply a vacation while staying in my home town.

Natasha Allen

I like Spaworld alot. I wish the food actually filled me up. It never sastifies me for long.

Robert Matthews

It's quite pricey, but their message services are top notch and worth it. Been coming here since 2014. Never had a disappointment.

Sarina Hopkins

Love the environment. Just wish the managers would schedule better,to allow more productivity. One of there staff informed me that the scrub down couldn't be done until 3 hours. But the worker set and did nothing. For the 3 hole hours

Jared Greenwald

Overall, there was no help for a first time visitor, the place did not feel clean, and it was not appropriate for your children but they are happy to take your money for them anyway. For a first time visitor it was not a positive experience. The signage was unclear about what could do. No instructions were given on what to leave up front versus what to bring back to the locker room (shoes, phone, wallet etc) so we had to make multiple trips back and forth to rearrange our belongings. The only staff that were apparent were the ones behind desks and they gave me inconsistent answers when questioned about where kids were allowed. The food was good but overpriced. The place is very much not appropriate for kids under 4 but they charge for any older than 1 year. The kid room had a TV that didn't work and was nothing but some rubber flooring, a handful of chairs and that smelled of dirty diapers. The men's bathrooms were gross - bring your own sandals so you don't have to step in slime or urine. The floor in the co-ed room was littered with hair and little ceramic beads - a tripping or choking hazard for little kids.

Elias Martinez

Spa World? It's just an open area of hot water that's about it. Not what I expect when I think of a spa. Also would it hurt the customer service staff to have....customer service skills.

Raj Harnal

Great place to unwind. Good foot massage. Sunday is busy. Love the food.

Anthony

This place was amazing! So many saunas. I really enjoyed the gender only baths, the foot massage (a bit pricey), and the drink bar. I really want to go back here again. I want to try the restaurant.

Kim Ramsey

Love going here for a day of relaxation with my bestie! This particular visit was not like our usual ones. The bade pool was strangely overflowing, and the overall temp of the water got cold enough that it was uncomfortable to stay in. Staff sometimes congregates in the lounge area and their chatting can get a little too loud. Similarly they also play things on their phones without head phones. It's annoying to be told we can't nap in the lounge when staff does it all the time. Otherwise, food was nice, scrub was awesome, and there were few people on this visit which I always prefer.

Carlos Deschamps

So let me start off with the pros. The food was good and the serving was large. Some of the saunas were also good. Lastly, the customer service was good and the workers were nice to my group and I. However, the cons overlooks the pros. First, the ice suana wasn't that cold and had water dripping from the ceiling and one of the sauna seemed to have been too cool to be consider a 154 degrees sauna. Additionally, and probably the biggest turnoff is that you have to be nude in order to go into the pool area. The rule applies to everyone, and even children and teens which I found highly inappropriate. They should keep this spa adult only or take off the nude policy, because this is just wrong. I been to Korean spas before and I never seen this as a policy, but only an option for the single sex areas.

Michelle Kelly

Spa world is great. Get the Groupon so your save a bit. I’m not a huge fan of how they make their bubble teas, but other than that this place is a great way to spend a day.

Emely Pietri

Love that I have a jimjilbang near me! Such a great spot to spend a day indulging in much needed self care. Usually make it a point to come once a month! Love that they have deals on Groupon and the H Mart next door! Make sure to bring your own toiletries and skin care!

Stephanie Rodriguez

Massage was great. I purchased a groupon for a massage but then I go in everything was fine when I go to get a massage area they said the groupon was only for the entrance. I dont mind paying extra money but the reception desk should let you know before you go into the massage room and warn you it is an extra charge. Their customer service is terrible too they dont give you directions on where to go. I just think its a huge scam. Ill glady pay $90 for entrance and massage but as long as you have good customer service. Before i even went in to get a massage i was more tense then I wanted to be because they were unprofessional and rude they also Ignore you when you try to clear things up with them. Tell people in detail on what you purchase dont let them go in places blind. Communication is key to finding an understanding nothing gets under my skin more when im not being communicated with and lost on what to do and pay for.

Алексей Горбачев

Love it! Amazing SPA, best in the area. Be prepare to be nude in the pool/jacuzzi area, but there’s a variety of common saunas as well, where you can be in clothes.

Joaquin Moreno

Super clean and very relaxing

Wes Noneya

Absolutely love Spa World wish they had one closer to me. It's a drive for me almost 2 hours but its worth it! The relaxation definitely worth it

Tara C

Love this place! Clean facilities, helpful and friendly staff, and great food. Way too easy to stay there for hours

Melissa Mosley

Spa world is an intensely comforting retreat for personal relaxation. From the moment you arrive, you are secreted into a quiet world of self indulgence and pampering...it's simply fantastic.

melonie hughes

Amazing place. Very serene environment

Kai McHenry

This use to be my favorite place to go to relax after a long nights work but lately the front desk attendant has been more and more unwelcoming often insinuating that I'm under the influence of something. Mind you, I come in close to 4 am after working a 12-14 hr shift. I am exhausted to the point I cant drive the full trip home. Hence coming here for a little rest and relaxation. I dont think I cant just stop coming here after so long but I will do my very best to avoid the harrassment of this guy.

Lucas Aragon

When you arrive you are given a outfit for Commons area and a key on a wristband, this key opens 2 lockers. One is in the lobby for shoes. Continuing into the male and female separate locker rooms you find your second locker for clothes. Directly off the individual locker rooms are the 2 "bade pools" one for both Male and Female. Think of these as hot tub rooms with a big "hydrotherapy" pool in the middle. Stations along the pool with Jets and different seating/standing arrangements. Access to individual bade pool room is only via the separated locker rooms. These are traditional and fully nude (expect the same in the Lockers room). The "common" co-ed area is clothed and they provide a house gown to wear in there. This is where the cafe and restruant are located. In the Commons area are many sauna rooms with different themes and designs along with a variety of temps. Here they also have an "ice room" that's cold.... literally ice on the wall. Many people relaxing in the Commons area taking naps, reading books and chatting quietly. I like using the bade pool first. Then put on your house gown and go get a drink or something from cafe and then sweat a bunch in the various saunas. You're probably going to sweat up the gown so then go ditch it (locker room has hampers for used towels and gowns) and use the bade pool once more before leaving. .......hope this helps!

Inga B

Great place relaxing.

Myesha Johnson

Great first experience! I will return!

Ben Zapp

Spa world gets a 5 star rating as there is no competition. It’s clean, reasonably priced, and is open 24/7. It could be cheaper and the hot saunas larger, but that’s my only complaint.

Everett Allen

Pretty good on a Sunday afternoon in mid September. Not too crowded. It was pretty peaceful and clean.

Jared K. Smith

Great place to relax and unwind

Mike Chen

This place is normally great but they cant even bother to fix the cold room and it's been broken for over a month from when I visited. Seriously? If you are going to double the cost and cut the time we can have in half from when you once opened, shouldn't you keep your facility up to date and fix things promptly? Just saying.

Emma Oertly

Would have given it 5 stars if the employees would have been more helpful with questions. Instead of trying to help they look at u stupid cuz they don't understand English. If they do they sure act like they don't

Adam Johnson

A great visit! Thoroughly enjoyed the whirlpools, saunas & cuisine. Will be back!

Nathaniel Patterson

A great escape to relaxation

Grace Hadouken

I know this place has gotten some bad reputation, but they've really stepped up their game. This was my first visit and I would definitely come again.

Courtney Robins

So happy of of my boyfriends gave me this as a gift. The most relaxing day a girl can ask for

Chris Wagner

Great place to relax for multiple hours instead of being in traffic : D

Vanessa Rodney

I had a wonderful time. It was so relaxing and soothing. I will be going back.

Amgokhz

Spa world is popular as known for years in the Centervill, salt spa, jed spa , choral spa, ice spa, hot sauna much more , and has gym ,Restaurants in side . Sauna good for joints, muscle pain, relax body , detoxify. They open for all year around .

Rachel L

I love the amethyst gem room at spa world!!

Monica Byrom

Very relaxing. The pultice rooms are great! Juice bar, full restaurant!

Han E

I have never understood the culture of bathe house. It's from the olden days of century ago when we didn't have plumbing. But to be open minded, I went with a friend who raved about the healing property. After spending 4 hours there, it's definitely not my thing. To each his own. I'd rather shower and bathe at home. I don't understand why one would feel clean sharing soap, towels, water, mats, etc ... with the public. I had to shower again when I got home.

Susan Cook, Your Coach

Amazing place! I'll be back

Wife enjoyed the massage! She said that she requested the strong massage and the lady was walking on her back and she felt bones cracking, I told her that she got her back cracked lol. She said she saw naked women walking around in sauna, laying on the floor etc... She said she would love to return for the massage again. $40 entrance fee to enter the spa and then $75 for the 30 minute massage before exiting the spa.

Ancient bath house culture. Front desk staff very friendly. Take antibacterial wipes and socks or be prepared to be bare footed and naked in the tubs and jacuzzis area, where I did not go in (was not told this by my invitee before going and was not a pleasant surprise). Excellent idea to relax if you don't worry about germs and viruses. There are several different sauna rooms, and a common area where you can relax for hours at a time, but I was not able to make myself go in and lay down because I could not bare the smell and the thought of laying on a mat that somebody else had laid, without wiping it. I got a half an hour massage, $55.00, very relaxing at the end where during, the massuse would grabbed my limbs, without telling me what was coming next and I would become a mess trying to relax for her to do her job

The forced Male nude area is extremely seedy. A lot of inappropriate touching and guys being overly friendly. Be prepared to have guys trying to chat you up.

The best place to relax and spend a day pampering yourself

Sean Eagler

I love this place ..I have disk damage as well as joint degeneration and 2 to 3 hours in the bade baths and a 30 minute deep tissue massage serve me better than a chiropractic visit and pain medication. If I'm able to obtain a Groupon, I've spent 80.00 or less ...priceless!

Emily Quinn

Mostly good, though the staff are rude and the bade pool is very confusing. There’s a master map I’m the pool room, but no guides besides that. The food was really good. They have a ton of different sauna-type rooms. The red clay ball room was very interesting. Also, they have fish tanks, and one of them has a full grown goldfish, but the Aquariam is about 3-4 inches wide and goldfish need more space than that because they need to be able to swim around, and it’s very difficult for a full grown fish to turns around in such a thin aquarium. I really hope that spa world sees this review and gets a wider tank.

I live only 10 minutes from this gem of a place and it took me 15 years to get in. My son got me the gift card and I visited this place. The experience is just amazing. I only used common unisex heated rooms and pool area. Didn't get any extra service but massage and body scrub are available. I never thought I would be spending about six hours here. It was worth every penny. Strongly recommend if you want to treat yourself and destress your mind and body. Thumbs up.

Rachel Han

It was beautiful and very quiet, a lot less people in the morning but it was a great experience. The only thing people should look out for is the price, really. $$ per person was a lot but it was worth it.

Antonio Rodriguez

I would say this place is amazing. I loved it so much. The staff are very friendly and there customer service was also great. Sauna's was great went in all of them. Juice bar was great and the food was also great. I even liked that you can just relax anywhere inside the place and they also have a kids area which was also great becuase my two boys didn't want to go in anymore of the saunas with me and there mother but we just make sure to set a timer on our phones for 5min while we went to the different saunas. The pool area was also great and relaxing almost didnt want to leave. And being in the military i don't mind being in a shower area full of naked men because i had to get use to it back at basic. The only thing i can say is the three jets by the kidy pool wasn't working to well out of the three jet areas hope they get it fixed. This will be a place to come back again maybe without kids.

I came here with friends. Everyone should come with a groupon deal that they regularly have or it might be bit pricey at $40. The spa itself has decent amount of sauna rooms and relaxing amenities inside, such as restaurant, massage room, gym, etc.

Laura Lane

Best experience ever! My friends and I drove 3 hours to get there and it was worth every minute! Can't wait to go back and will definitely become a regular trip!

Verity Pierce

Heaven on Earth! And a great value especially with a Groupon. ;)

Corletta Clay

For a day of affordable pampering and self care... definitely do this! Feeling so refreshed. There should be one in every city!

Tiffany J

Absolutely amazing finally visited after someone told me great things about it and my expectations were blown out the window. I got nervous upon arrival because there was a line but the line moved so fast and we were able to stay up to 12 hours for a small fee. They also have a Groupon which made it a lot more affordable! Definitely worth it and will definitely be coming back soon!!!

Moshu Willow

I liked my visit except for the attempt to strong arm a tip from me at the scrub when gratuity is included on the cost for the scrub. That's my only issue but everything else is great Get a honeydew frozen bubble tea- thank me later.

This is a terrific Korean spa. The bade pool is great for getting out an musculo-skeletal knots or kinks. The staff are friendly, and the facility is clean. The steam room is quite hot and very therapeutic. Mina and I enjoyed lounging in the relaxing Jimjilbang, and the korean food served there is delicious, especially the fried rice. I highly recommend Spa World.

Alexander Whitehead

Went for with my girlfriend for a relaxing day and was blown away. The service was excellent, the food was amazing and the massages/body scrubs have us more relaxed than we have been in years. I cannot recommend it enough, it's worth it just to go for the Bade pool by itself.

I absolutely LOVE coming to Spa world BUT... PLEASE find a way to enforce the rules Mr. Lee! Public displays of affection should NOT be tolerated in the men's locker room or bath area!!! Cell phone usage should NOT be allowed in the men's locker room or bath area!!!

Victor Lopez

The place is great very neat and clean. If you want to relax and detox your body this is the perfect spot. Now I do recommend to place soap and shampoo dispensers in the showers like they have it in other great spas around the USA.There is no way I will take a shower with a soap bar that many others have used and a cheap shampoo bottle. Hello! This is Virginia I expect higher quality not less.

diversemediagroupllc

The best time is to come on Thursday’s. It’s less crowded and freshly cleaned in the pools. The customer service is great. You have multiple saunas, I love the balls the best. You have a steam room on the woman’s area. Everyone is polite. Hmart is close by and honey pig. They sell Korean food inside, shakes and ice cream. You can bring your own water, no need for bathing suits because your naked in the pool. The common area is where you wear your uniform. It’s calming and refreshing. You could spend all day there. Bring flip flops and your on soap. They have shampoo. Bring your own masks. They have two lockers. One for your shoes when you first go in and another one on the woman’s locker room for your other stuff.

Sheresse Hatcher

I had the most amazing time!! I received the body scrub and my skin is glowing. I will definitely be back

Very nice experience, except for the attendant in the restaurant Feb 5th. Wow - incredibly rude. For $14 I expected more than the 4 little shreds of beef. I took my plate back up to the counter and asked if I could have more beef. She said "that beef!". I acknowledged it was, but asked if I could have some more please.... "no - that beef!" and walked away as if I didn't exist. I get the cultural differences, but holy cow. I'm in a party of 6, spending good money, and she gave me a pretty harsh smack down over very basic customer service.

I love this place and always was able to relax with a good scrub and massage, but last time I was hurt by masseus. She jumped on my back and almost two months later i still feel the pain. They need to train their masseuses. On top of that, she was extremely aggressive with demanding a higher tip, which ruined my relaxation effort.

thehopecmc

Much pricier than it is in Korea, but still enjoyable

Taline Ara

Love this place. You can just pay the $40 entrance fee and have access the the bade pool, wet and dry saunas, and the common area for 12 HOURS so you never feel rushed or stressed about the time. It's a great place to go and relax for a while

Frank Ocean

Cruise* on down for relaxation & fun. Bade pool is nice but can get pretty crowded. I enjoy the poultice area and the different rooms. The food isn’t all that great (compared to other nearby korean spots) but hey, it’s a nice place overall.

CoCo Chanel

Very peaceful and calming environment. The staff is completely helpful

tabithar madi

Had a great time. Was a bit unexpected but loved the various water options and saunas. Will definitely visit again

Faith Kim

PROS: - great food - great desserts - love the hot rooms CONS: - staff are very rude to children especially. Hire new staff! - bath water is not clean - the bath water wasn't hot enough. - too expensive -

Carrie Mack

Highly recommend the body scrub.

Patty Kloss McKay

Very reasonably priced and the facility is very clean. I can't say enough about the body scrub- 25 minutes of loofah-mitt scrubbing. My skin feels amazing! I'll definitely go again.

Sierra Crawford

Literally my favorite place! My wife and I spend HOURS here relaxing, playing (self-provided) board games, and eating yummy Korean food.

Ruth Tallmer

Words cannot express how wonderful this spa is.

akili Sosa

most of the jets in the pool work, and it's pretty clean.

nate young

It's a really cool experience. It does get a little crowded, but overall it was still a relaxing experience. Staff was pleasant. If you're not used to people being nice than it can be a little off putting. Nudity is only in the changing room areas. Men and women are separated. There is a common unisex area and that's were most of my time was spent. Would do it again!

Zalika Goulbourne

It's a relaxing experience. I enjoy the bade pool, jets feel like a great massage. The sauna rooms are great as well. Different rooms for different health/detox benefits. Also the food is good, we usually order different things and share as a group.

Brandon Richardson

Solid korean spa, great food, decent boba, and they have a gym

Wellington Lee

It's an experience, the steam rooms and saunas are HOTT. It's a little pricey at $40 per person. Little things like the toiletries in the locker room could be better for the price. Worth it overall.

Lorna F

Friendly staff. Nice variety of relaxing areas. The pool was awesome.

ogunjinmi1

I always feel relaxed, and recharged after spending a few hours here. But the poultice rooms need some upgrades on the floors and carpet. The mats could be replaced at this point too. But this is still a great place to relax.

eldar210

Great place for relaxing

jazie mcg

I go to spa world place all the time. I send all my friends there

It was a sense of immense relief that I felt, stepping into a proper jjimjilbang again for the first time since returning from my year of teaching English in Korea. An electronic key tied to your account means you only need cash for snacks at checkout. The wet room was palatial and ornate, with many aesthetically pleasing lines and colors, and ample space in each of the side pools. The dry sauna (poltice room) had a fantastic and spacious array of beautiful rooms, including a red clay ball room with a sea of little ceramic beads to lie on (a new one for me!). Snacks and meals are the expected amusement park price ($16 even for a plate of donkas is a little steep). I just wish it weren't an hour drive away! (And 3 hours back in rush hour traffic...)

Carla Bates

I always feel so rejuvenated after being here.

Kathryn Mauch

Great spa for low key setting and relaxation. Uniforms required in code areas.

Natasha Morrow

Truly an experience that one must try. Keep an open mind.
