Nail salon at Spa Noa review: **Update : Nail technicians matter- Spa Noas staff was very accommodating after reading my review and scheduled another session with a different nail technician. Ree was absolutely amazing. I love my current technician but I think Ive found a new one. I will swallow my words on not going back to do my nails here and I will most likely go to see her again. ---------------------------- I want to say that the staff was very pleasant and the facility was very clean, although I came in to get my nails done, so this review is in regards to that. I did not have time to go to my regular nail technician so I found spa noa online. The woman who did my nails was very nice but she did not do a good job. Two of my nails are crooked, one has a dent in it and the polish does not cover the whole nail. I watched has she did one sweep over the middle of the nail with bottom, and top coat, as if she did not want to waste the polish. The color itself does not cover the whole nail. One nail which she used SNS on was much larger than the others, so I had to ask for the brush to file it myself. I do not mind the payment as long as my nails are done right but I paid $20 more for this service than I normally do, and it was much worse than my normal technician. Needless to say , I will not be returning to do my nails. Although, I liked the staff and may come back to try other services. ---------------------------------

Always have a fun time at Spa Noa. The spa location is perfect, near the Dulles toll road and Reston parkway. Parking is free and there are shops and restaurants near by. I go every month to have a pedicure and hair cut and blow dry. Several times a year I have a body scrub and massage. I have been going to Spa Noa since it opened, never wanted to change.

Excellent customer service and a really great massage experience overall. The only two things keeping me from giving this place all 5 stars are the following: 1) They don't allow you to add gratuity to your credit card and 2) The massage rooms are a bit too cold and drafty. There's nothing worse than shivering through what would normally be a most fantastic massage.

The spa itself is very nice. The woman who did my nails was sweet and chatty and the experience was great. That being said, my (wildly overpriced) SNS manicure only lasted a week before it started chipping and I lost a full nail! The manicures I usually get in Ashburn last at least 3 weeks, so this was super disappointing.

I got a really terrible haircut here the other day. I walked in with shoulder-length hair and explained that I was trying to grow my hair out, so I didn't want much taken off. When she asked how many inches I wanted to have cut off, I said "as little as possible." I was really just there for a trim, and to have my bangs cut. She cut my hair to chin-length on the sides, so several inches were taken off, and left it shoulder-length in the back. So, it was a mullet. When she said she was done, I could not believe she was going to leave the hair in the back so much longer than on either side. I told her I didn't like how it was so much longer in the back, and she explained that she left it long because I said I wanted to grow my hair out. I guess I thought it was understood I wanted to grow all of my hair out, not just one part of it. I asked her to trim the hair in the back a bit, which she did, but still, it was about two inches longer than on the sides. It still looked awful, but at that point I was just so upset about what had happened and wanted to get out of there before it got even worse. I can't go outside with my hair down, and now it is too short to put it up in a bun. If it is possible for a haircut to be a catastrophe, this was one. I feel bad writing such a horrible review, because the woman was really nice and all the people at the salon I interacted with were pleasant, but I wanted to give others the opportunity to learn from my misfortune. UPDATE: The owner of spa noa called to apologize and offered to fix my hair herself. I had already gone elsewhere to fix it, but I really appreciated her call.

I moved to this area three years ago and visited various nail salons looking for "my" place. Now I know it's Spa Noa. This place is GREAT. After visiting almost every other nail place in the Reston/Herndon area, my hair stylist at Brush Strokes (also a GREAT place) recommended Spa Noa for my nails. She was right. The front desk staff are friendly, professional, helpful and courteous. And I can't praise my nail technician, The, enough. She does, without a doubt, the best job ever done on my nails. Every. Single. Time. She's competent, caring, warm, and intuitive. The is exceptional at what she does. If you are looking for a great manicure/pedicure in a pleasant atmosphere staffed by people who make your experience a pleasure, you don't have to look any further than Spa Noa.

I went to get eyebrows shaped. Clean up was okay but not the shape I requested. Super overpriced. I only went here because they are close to my work and my usual place closes at 7pm. Normally I pay $9 to get my eyebrows cleaned up and shaped. Paying $25 hurt a little and didnt get what I requested. I probably will never go here again.

Last week, I've been with Nina for both : Brazilian and facial (deep cleansing one). Nina is such a gem, she is always positive and caring! She has more than 15 years experience in skin care service, so she immediately explained what I need, my skin is super sensitive, but for those with sensitive skin, do not go anywhere else, Spa noa masks and wax is by far the best wax I have ever come in contact with. No irritation, nothing, but dewy, glowing skin. Oh, forgot to mention :Nina has her own way to do waxing and it bearable and less painful than I got in other places worth others, definetely be back with her gentle and professional service!!!

Recently tried a new method for a manicure at Spa Noa in Reston and was amazed. It is called SNS (Signature Nail System) It is incredible, no odor, no UV lights, no harsh ingredients and it takes less time than other manicures as no drying time. There is also a huge choice of colors to chose from and my nails look fantastic.

First of all the technician understands the science behind hair growth and removal so they are good about letting you know whether or not it is worth the service. Spa Noa has great customer service and talented hair stylists! April at the front desk is always so pleasant and both times I have gone in she has squeezed me in last minute. Nethal does an amazing job with my hair and needs almost no direction from me to completely understand what I want and make it look amazing. She recently cut off more than 12 inches and the end result was exactly what I had envisioned and more. Oh and Linda gives great scalp massages when she shampoos :). Spa Noa has taken great care of me thus far!

I've been coming here for years and always leave feeling like a million bucks. Emily always cuts and colors my hair exactly like I want. She really takes her time blow drying your hair and checking to see the hair is healthy. Lucy is a dream. After countless waxing appointments she asks if I've considered laser. I said no because I'd heard it was painful and incredibly expensive. She gave me a quick sample of what it felt like and I've never gone backed to waxing. Their prices are very reasonable, clean and neat facilities, and everyone who works there is so nice and kind. None of the attitude of some places that makes you feel two inches tall when you walk in and are immediately given the up/down scan. Can I recommend Spa Noa highly enough!!

Yun Hee does a wonderful job! I have had her for waxing several times, and she is gentle and thorough. She always checks on the wax temperature, speaks with me about my skin condition, and there are never 'strays' afterward. She's also the best at making sure no wax is left behind, so you don't leave feeling sticky. Truly excellent!

Had a wonderful massage here, but it was a little distracting to hear another spa employee talk loudly in the hallway outside of the room. I thought that maybe this was a one-time problem, so I made another appointment because the massage therapist was excellent. During my next visit, there was a young child -- maybe age 5 or 6? -- who was talking loudly, as children will do at times, out in the lobby. I could hear her clearly through the massage room's soft music. When I asked why there was a child in the spa, I was told "she comes in once a month for a pedicure with her mother and grandmother." The child did not quiet down even when asked to do so, and obviously, her mother and grandmother were more concerned with the state of this young lady's toenails than with teaching her good manners. I walked out 20 minutes into a lovely massage, and I will never return because I prefer a massage venue that offers a quieter escape and values customers who are quiet, and pay and tip well for services, over those who allow their child to ruin the experiences of other patrons.

I went here on the recommendation of someone who works in my building because she always had the most GORGEOUS nails. Even going in with such high expectations, it did not disappoint! My manipedi lasted a long time, and the lavender masque that they used on my feet and legs was luxurious. They have a variety of services, including SNS nails. The glass of wine and small snacks were just the cherry on top!

Do NOT go for a prenatal massage - I am 36 weeks pregnant and went for a prenatal massage yesterday. After checking in with the front desk, the masseuse led me back to the massage room and told me to undress and get on the table etc. After doing so, she returned to the room and told me I was too pregnant for a massage and she and the manager asked me to LEAVE. No where on their website does it state they will not perform massages to women in their last month of pregnancy, nor did they say anything to me when I made the appointment or checked in with the front desk. Furthermore, my doctor has cleared me for a massage and even recommended it. The experience was incredibly unprofessional and honestly humiliating. I will never go back to Spa Noa.

Sandra greeted me warmly when I arrived and walked me through all the options. She even advised me to take advantage of a monthly special offer so I got 30 extra minutes of massage for the same price. I had a 90-minute deep tissue massage with Virginia that was nothing short of transformational. In my 50s, I came in with a body full of aches and knots from weight training, biking, and running. She worked through them all with a mix of firm and gentle pressure, warm compresses and hot stones. I left with my mood elevated, my posture improved, and my body revitalized. Even 24 hours later, I'm still in a "Namaste" state of mind.

Have visited nail salons for three decades. Never had a problem until my sns manicure that resulted in fungus on two nails, a doctor’s visit, two gross looking nails and daily topical medication that i hope will work. When i called to request the balance of my gift certificate...$40, they told me that was not possible and that the owner would call me the next day. She did not. I did not even ask for a refund for the service that caused my infection or to reimburse my medical expenses. I suggest avoiding this salon. Got my $40 back, but not my nails. Went to another doctor who put me on a six week oral med that requires monitoring my liver function. Beware.

I don't usually write reviews, but I went here for the first time yesterday to get my hair cut and I was SO impressed. I felt like I needed a change, so i called Spa Noa and they were able to squeeze me in the very next day. The receptionist was friendly, responsive, and knowledgeable. Ani, who is new to the spa, cut my hair and did a truly amazing job. I mean- she totally transformed it. And the best part, it is right near my job. It was an all around great experience. Five Stars!

I went to Spa Noa recently and really enjoyed my experience. I was welcomed when I arrived and offered something to drink. I had an appointment for a pedicure. The pedicure area was clean and the machines were modern and very nice. I really enjoyed how relaxing it was. I think it was one of the first places where the technician didn't try to talk to me, which was so nice. I just wanted to relax and read my book. I like that the technicians didn't talk to each other obsessively back in forth like they do in most places. It was so relaxing. The whole experience was amazing, I fell asleep. I highly recommend it.

Mary and her team are Incredible! They saved me from a horrendous salon experience just down the street. She went out of her way to return to the salon after already heading home for the evening.
