You must have seen that it reaches an opinions average is practically the best one, and it's founded on a very large number of feddbacks, so we can be quite sure that the evaluation is very faithful. If many people have bothered to evaluate when they are pleased, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to put feddbacks when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Spa is classified in the category of Day spa.
I wanted to do a brown that covered my grays and to tone down the stark contrast between my black roots (new growth)and the lighter base and highlights that had grown out. Some grays are still visible and the color is a a light black in natural light.Went back same day to get the roots a little lighter and was told it was fine. That if I went lighter it wouldn’t cover up the grays and I couldn’t have it both ways. It’s either dark or light brown but it won’t cover grays. They wanted me to get the highlights which was another $120 to cover them up...
Amazing staff and experts in hair, make up, and spa services.
I've been going to see Melanee for years and she is wonderful. Not many stylist have experience and knowledge when it comes to the style and cut of natural curly hair, but Melanee does a great job every time.
Really pretty inside and Sharmon is the best! Can't wait to go back and may try a massage
Amazing... Love everyone,
Cyndi is an awesome hair stylist ! This salon has the best service !! Their day spa has so much to offer their clients !!
Ask for Toni on Tuesdays. She does a great job washing your hair.
The price for the service is lacking. $75 for a wax that I ended up having to go to another salon and have re-done. Won’t be going back.
I enjoyed High Heeled Happy Hour event for Charity! Beautiful Salon & great stylists! expanded spa area.
Sharmon Coon great stylist
I decided to go to Salon Emage after much research as I have alopecia and wear a wig so getting my hair cut is a pretty big deal. I've had terrible experiences in the past resulting in ruining my investments and wasting money... not here!! This was THE BEST salon experience I've ever had. From Karen at the front desk who is very friendly and makes you feel welcome to the rest of the staff who seem like they love what they do and are also very friendly, the atmosphere is great. Lisa did the cut and was not only attentive, but also very meticulous. I showed her some pictures of what i was looking for and she legitimately replicated one of my favorites!!! I obviously won't be able to go back often, but I will absolutely be going back for any and all future hair needs. Thanks, Salon Emage!!!
The hairdresser Maddie that did my hair was super nice and down to earth, and did a great job with my hair cut. I also got a little freebee for my first time going there, so that was really nice too! Will definitely go back for another cut and to get a massage :)
My first time there, I was nervous about cutting my hair off and changing my color but Lauren made me comfortable and explained everything to me. Everyone was so friendly and great. I would highly recommend. I can’t wait for my 6 week appointment. Thanks Lauren!!!!
Today was my first time going here and it was amazing! The staff is nice and talkative and the atmosphere is great. Cyndi was my stylist and my hair looks sooo much better now. Definitely coming back here
The woman that did my Brazilian wax did a very thorough job and was extremely pleasant. I appreciated how nice the facilities were.
Frank is the best! He gave me a perm and it turned out amazing. I highly recommend Salonemage.
Very accommodating
Salon Emage was fantastic. My bridesmaids and I went there to have our hair and makeup done for my wedding. They set up a beautiful breakfast spread and made our morning fun, memorable and relaxing. A big thank you to their bridal coordinator Karen!!! She kept me sane and was so helpful throughout planning and when we were there. Grace (hair) and Charla (make-up) made me feel soo beautiful on my wedding day. And thank you to Cyndi, Lisa, Maddie and Nicole! If you want to look amazing plus have a great time look no further! Thank you guys!!
Very pricey, but worth it! Very knowledgeable stylists, relaxed and comfortable vibe, and I got exactly what I wanted in terms of color, style, and hair cut.
Nice salon. Old Town experience with exposed brick and creaky floors. Stylists listen and do what you want. Head rests in sinks are good for your neck.
My kids, 13 & 18, won't go anywhere else! The ladies (and man) are fantastic! I love how cute the shop is, and they have a perfect selection of products available. I'm at 5 visits and couldn't be happier!
Frank was amazing!!!
Grace is a fantastic creative stylist. The energy and atmosphere are awesome
Very disappointed!!! My daughter went to have her hair done for prom and after spending an hour and a half in the salon and $87 we had to go home and redo it, because it looked awful. Wish I hadn't paid before I saw her hair :(
I had a really positive experience. The staff seem to be genuinely pleasant and nic. I got a really nice haircut too. The prices are on the steep side, which I noticed is common in this area. While I was we'll taken care of, I can't afford to consistently spend that kind of money on a haircut. I would recommend this place definitely, but be prepared to spend. A basic haircut, for me cost double what it typically does. It wasn't a super technical haircut either. While my haircut looks pretty good, I'm not set on making this salon my go to option. I was under the impression that my haircut would be expensive, but not quite as expensive as it turned out to be. So the bottom line is, this is a great place, but maybe not so much if you're on a budget. I didn't want to get butchered at a chain haircutter. Over all a great place but pricey.
I’d like to address the review about today’s experience with the child in the salon and the mom. It was very upsetting for the Salon and all moms in the salon today. Not because we didn’t want a child there or upset with a little bit of noise. It was because the child was screaming for 45 min straight to the point that we were all concerned for her. Momming is hard we all know that, but women asked to help with the baby so she would calm down and the mother could continue with her hair but she turned down every offer and let the child suffer. It was to the point some of us thought to call CPS. So as for Salon Emage, they were respectful of the situation. As for Doris, she was a very concerned lady as were the rest of us and voiced out of concern that it was too long for this baby to scream like she was. My only comment really, not a judgement on you as a mom , but let Mom’s help when you are struggling or your child could use some help. We all know it’s hard to do it all. We all love babies and love to snuggle one when we can so maybe next time, take us up on the offer and be grateful you have an army of ladies willing to help. Today was hard for you and your daughter, the Salon, and everyone in it. Let’s just leave it as one of those days. But we got your back if you’d let us!!!! You did look beautiful when you left and yes Lauren and all the stylists are amazing. Have a wonderful time at the wedding. ❤️
Great Salon!
Excellent service, and Frank is the best
Great place
Got a cut and blow dry with Ashley and I absolutely loved it. I've been to several other salons over the years and no one has been able to do a cut that both looked good on me and was something I wanted. I will definitely be going back. 5 stars!
Wife went here and enjoyed it. She will be returning. She became interested due to a discount ad for "test driving" new stylists in the salon to help them generate loyal customers. Worth a try!
Before I go into why I'm giving Salon Emage a 1 star review. I'd Like to Say Lauren is a great hair dresser and deserves a 5 star review. I have a 13 month old daughter I don't like taking her to hair appointments because she does not sit well. Normally I have a family member watch her or I schedule hair cuts for Saturday when my husband is home. The person who watches her was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and is extremely ill. My husband and I are going to an out of town family wedding in less than a week so he has been working overtime. Due to all this I decided to make an appointment as early as possible appointment (before the salon became too busy) so I could take my daughter since no one could watch her while I prepped for the wedding. We get there before my appointment at 9a and she's happy, eating breakfast and snacks! My hairdresser was late due to a car accident (which was out of her control and therefore I was not upset about that). I didn't sit down until 9:30a. My daughter started to cry shortly after this and I apologized, but my hairdresser and the ladies beside us said "don't worry about it" The problem came when I was leaving and an elderly woman from the manicure section came out. She was staring at me and said "that's not good". I went over to her and asked her what she meant by that. She began to give me a lecture on how to care for my child. I asked for her name and she refused to give it to me saying "it doesn't matter". I went to the front and found out her name is Doris. I went back to Doris to tell her she is the reason I would not come back. Doris said that was fine (me not coming back). she continued to speak over me. I ended up saying "Doris, shut the F#$K up!" and left. I was not charged for the hair cut due to the embarrassment caused by Doris. I left and came back with a tip for Lauren. Doris approached me and put her hand on my back. I asked her not to touch me and had to tell her more than once before she removed her hand from my back. I didn't want to talk to her but she kept trying to speak saying "it was unfair that I would not listen to her side" I told her I would write a review about her and she said "that's fine I have witnesses" Before scheduling my appointment for a weekday. I had asked if I could bring my daughter. As previously mentioned I don't normally bring my daughter to the salon, but was unable to get someone to watch her this time and I was in need of a haircut before the wedding. I would of scheduled my appointment for a Saturday. But I do not want to go somewhere, pay for a service and be judged so harshly by someone who does not know the circumstances.
I have been going to Salon Emage for many years and, without hesitation, would recommend them to everyone. Melanie, and her team, ROCK! They keep me from becoming that blue haired old lady!
This review is about my experience with Doris, the manicurist/pedicurist only. I have been having my nails done at other establishments locally for years and thought I would try Salon Emage as I am very impressed with my hair stylist, Frank. The appointment with Doris was a disaster. She complained to me, the customer, that I should have told the receptionist when I booked my appointment that I wanted gel on both my finger and toenails as it would take her longer than she had budgeted. She also informed me that it didn’t make sense to put gel on my toenails. Although I booked a deluxe treatment I did not receive hot wax or heated towel treatments which I routinely receive elsewhere. My nails, both toe and fingers, have polish overrunning from the nail. My cuticles were not addressed. The final touch was when Doris informed me that I wasn’t getting my hands in the OPI dryer and that was why the gel was not drying properly. I left with tacky fingernails, one of the reasons I use gel as with gel you leave the salon confident you can dig your car keys out without hurting your new manicure. Luckily I have a car with a smart key and could forego that experience. I only rated this experience as one star as there was no lower options. I am returning to my former nail spa.
