The guy quit working on my back literally two minutes in because he said I must be hurt... just didn’t want to work. Front desk did nothing to recompense. Just do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else. It was the most insulting consumer experience I’ve had.

This customer service is very unprofessional. They cancel your Apts and don’t even find an alternate solution for the day. Spoke to the manager to see if they could compensate the service, since they Made me take off work and lose money. I will never give my money to this establishment, that’s not how you conduct business when you don’t fall through on your side as a business. If I would have missed my apt because of my actions I’m sure they would have charged a huge fee .. as a business you need to be accountable for your mistakes...not given excuses.

My experience was non the less more stressful leaving than coming. When I first arrived, everything was great. Great conversation with a young lady who worked in the front. This was a gift from my boyfriend so he scheduled everything for me and put a card on hold as you are to do for a reservation. The young lady who scheduled the appointment stated that it would be 59.99 for 90 minutes before and after given my name. So we kept that appointment. What changed was when finishing my massage a different rate was given of $119. That rate would have been fine and no problem to pay, however I live by the code whats right is right and whats wrong is wrong. The lady on the phone gave us the rate and I expected him to be charge that amount. The manager Teresa was horrible, when discussing this situation she stated that I could buy the membership and then it would be that rate. I probleaby would not have mind doing that however your presentation says alot and she didn't know to much about the company and she kept giving me bogus information. She didnt conduct herself as a "Manager" should have! Long story short my boyfriend who is Active military came from duty and explained the situation in which she then changed it to 59.99 but guess what, she then said we were banned. I was furious, she didn't know corporate number, she didn't know regional number but she could have the authority to ban me....I had to woosah! I felt more insulted than anything, i began to cry due to the frustration and her insulting my intelligence. The clinic owner came out from the back and explained that e calm down and he didn't know the situation however everything was pretty much over. Now she did the worst thing she could have did working for a company, she profiled us, she asked for his card information that was on file, in which the young lady who booked the appointment stated we didn't need the card to check out. As Teresa began to smirk, she said to my partner, "I need your card because your here". I thought to myself what type of BS is that. That's profiling, that means if she did that to us, she had to do it to everyone else who was in this position, however I felt as though she thought we were trying to avoid paying. That was totally not the issue the issue was and them moral is, if you are working for a business that can lose all its credentials, please do it the right way and work with your customers. Money was never the issue it was what we were told and she should have discussed this with her worker who they stated is in school and she barely works there. I had to call another Massage Envy to get information from corporate, I am going higher until justice is served, we paid 59.99 and although Teresa stated I am banned from Massage Envy, I hope she reviewed her rules of regulations in her position as a "manager" who knew nothing. This would have been a great experience if it wasn't for the manager and how she acted.

They give great massages, but they customer service sucks when you call them. I asked about them waiving this months payment. The manager was busy on the phone so I waited & no call back so I called back to see what the problem was that clearly could've been told to me earlier, but no. I refuse to stay a member with them after Feb 2019 they unprofessional and don't care about their customers/members. Simple don't call them.

Had such a wonderful experience here yesterday with my husband and 3 month old. We just moved here from Hawaii and transferred our membership. This was our first time scheduling back to back massage appointments so we could take turns watching our son. They had no problem setting that up for us and then we got there they had a separate waiting area that was dark and peaceful- perfect for a napping baby and something they did not have in Hawaii. I didn't have time to pump milk for baby before we left because well... mom life. I asked them for a place to pump and they were beyond accomodating and gave me a room to myself no problem. And the massage was great. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you ladies so much!!

My wife had just returned from deployment and I wanted to do something very special for her. She had been away for several months and she was always complaining of the sleeping conditions and how bad her feet were hurting due to her boots!!! So I contacted the spa, since I saw that they offer couple's massage and asked if they would allow me to set up the room with special homecoming presents. I got a balloon and some chocolate strawberries and a rose. Leading up to this special day I spoke with the management on several occasions to make sure everything went smoothly. The owner, as well as the management staff went out of their way to make this occasion very special for us!!! We enjoyed our experience so much that we became members!!!! I like the Harbour View one better. I ask for "absurdly deep" pressure and usually get moderate pressure. I don't know if it's the location but it doesn't seem to draw as quality therapists. Still, if you live in Ghent, it's walkable, which is always nice.

I crushed my T12 three years ago. Chronic pain ect. I booked a next day appointment. Receptionist was Rona. Masseuse was Julian. The front desk staff are very polite and cheerful. My appointment started a bit late, but I was compensated generously on my final bill. Julian is both a gifted masseuse and down to earth. I walked out with a few areas on my back that were still tender. After a nap I was able to breathe more deeply than I have since crushing my vertebra 3 years ago. Months of physical therapy, different pain meds and muscle relaxers did not give me these results. If I could rate six stars once for any establishment I've visited this would be it. Thank you.

= Needs to improve on how to explain the cancellation policy to potential customers. = I made a reservation at Massage Envy - Norfolk for my husband's birthday on March 17th. It was a surprise gift. The schedule was at 4:00 PM. Unfortunately, I had to cancel the reservation on the same day because of my husband's work schedule in the military. I called in to cancel at 1:52 PM. I was charged a 50% cancellation fee ($20). I called several times after the cancellation was made requesting if we can reinstate the appointment. I called at 2:49 PM, 2:56 PM, and 2:58 PM. I was told that we can use the $20 cancellation charge if we can get an appointment on the same day. Without explaining to me that it has to be with the same masseuse. I called again at 3:08 PM and was able to get an appointment for 8:30 PM on March 17th. Not knowing that it will be with a different masseuse. I had been going back and forth with my refund request for $20. I just received a callback from their manager. And she explained to me that they had to pay the masseuse scheduled at 4:00 PM (which I cancelled) that's why they charged me. She said they will not refund me the $20. I asked if the masseuse who was initially assigned for our 4:00 PM schedule was given a new customer between the time frame I called (1:52 PM to 2:49 PM), the manager said no. How come I cannot reinstate the 4:00 PM schedule then? I am not mad at anyone. I just wish it was explained properly without misleading the customer. I definitely do not recommend this massage place. Very poor customer service.

I decided to try out Massage Envy one night because I've heard good things and seen good reviews. When I had my first massage I was pretty pleased. Then I made the dumb decision of getting into a membership.I also have a membership at Massage Luxe and they are way better in my honest opinion. I have no desire to be with Massage Envy any longer but I'm pretty much stuck for 12 months unless I get deployed or move. I'd much rather spend my $70 after tip elsewhere. Not the happiest, but there's nothing I can do. Just be sure you're ready for a 12 month commitment before signing a membership agreement.

They are THE WORST in the Hampton Roads area at handling online appointments. As far as massages go, they're pretty hit and miss. I got a prenatal massage from them as they were one of the few in area that offered it. The guy spent 1 hr and 15 min on one side and 15 min scrambling on the other because he was chatting the entire time.

I've been spoiled by great massage therapists in the past, so this just feels like a fluff spot. Friendly staff, but massage times are cut by 10 minutes for undressing/dressing. This is a good place if you just want to relax, but for therapeutic massage, I suggest a higher end business.

Amazing! Well worth the money. Too many people nowadays forget to take care of themselves...you can't fill from an empty cup. If you are a tense, exhausted mess you aren't going anyone you love any favors. I've not had a bad massage here, but Tre and Jess (?) are exceptional. I love a FIRM pressure and have never been disappointed! I also recommend splurging for the add-ons. I just experienced the muscle enhancement option and it was EXACTLY what I needed. As a new mom, my lower back was a mess from all the bending and lifting. I feel 1000% better.

I book a massage to get a few problem areas worked out on my neck and back. I was greeted by a receptionist who looked like she was severely hungover wearing dark sunglasses. Was brought to the tranquility room and was told 20 minutes after my schedule massage that my therapist did not show up for work. This would have been nice to know when I arrived. I wasted the entire morning getting here and leaving with them never offering either a discounted massage or any kind of compensation for the trouble. Poorly run establishment.

Very clean and convenient location. I run, lift, and do a lot of HIIT, so I usually get the deep-tissue/sports massage. I really like Julian. He's very good, and explains the different stretches and massages that are good for me during the massage, and what I can do post-massage to help with muscle soreness and tightness. Amazingly enough, he's able to give me just enough deep-tissue where it doesn't hurt, but is also relaxing, too!

Great experience at this spa. Everyone at the front desk was very helpful answering my questions. It was my first massage ever. Hurt my back pretty bad while on deployment. They were able to fit me in same day and put me with an excellent therapist Naomi. She was very knowledgeable and I left feeling so much better. The monthly plan was a great option for me. I knew I needed to start taking better care of myself and the price can't be beat. The only downside can be parking but the garage is very close. I really liked that they have a relaxation room to sit in before your session.

Needed a good massage my neck and shoulders were killing me. Came in at 830pm on a thursday and they close at 10pm. They were closed even though they still had an hour and a half left and when I asked if they can give me a massage they said they were closing. So much for running a business

I really appreciate ME and their exemplary customer service. I had an account issue that was resolved with care and professionalism. Kathleen, the owner, helped me with my issue and treated me with excellent customer service. As far as the massage therapy, I work out alot, so I value my relationship with ME, my therapist is excellent! She focuses on my problem areas with professionalism and care. The strech service is awesome too! I've read some other reviews and was suprised to see negative reviews. I normally don't submit reviews, but I was truly impressed by the way Kathleen handled my issue. I highly recommend ME (Massage Envy) for your massage therapy needs! Thanks!

Sarah is the best! The desk staff will try to upsell you on silly therapy add ons, but the overall quality of the massage therapist that I've had is very high. She's really intuitive and responsive. She keeps me upright and able to function with a chronically bad back. And the above comment is not a ding on the desk staff--they are really nice too!

My best friend was getting married, and as the maid of honor I was very stressed with working full time and going to school full time on top of planning my best friend's wedding. I decided to get a massage and facial about a week before her big day. I called to see if I could possibly get in that day, and they were able to fit me in that day for a dual service of a 90 minute massage and facial . When I arrived I noticed how beautiful the spa was and was greeted by the front desk associates. They were so friendly and welcoming! They offered me a beverage and took me into this peaceful tranquility room to wait for my appointment. I love that they get to know me better on a personal level to fit me with the best therapists for my needs. I had my massage first and it was AMAZING. I nearly fell asleep they were able to get me relaxed and get rid of all my tension and stress from work and school and the wedding planning. After wards I had my facial, and the esthetician was wonderful, it was my first facial and she explained everything to me and was very knowledgeable. I love that they have an intro rate for first time guests. After my session I checked out and was handing a wellness plan with recommendations and Katy the esthetician also showed me products she used on me. I became a part of their membership and have gone about three more times since my first appointment and I enjoy it every time! highly recommend this place :)
