Excellent experience in every way! I loved my Korean Scrub which included a wonderful massage! I have had many Korean scrubs, mostly in Arlington and NYC. I rate this spa above all others. The scrubber/massage therapist applied just the right amount of pressure. Her hands were magical. She spoke English and accommodated all my requests. The new owner has totally and I mean totally renovated the spa - tranquil and functional. And you’d be supporting a young female entrepreneur! Give it a try & you won’t be sorry.

This is my third visit here, and first of all the new facilities are a welcome. The primary facilities are upstairs and are for women, so there are two hot tubs and a steam room. Men can use the hot tub if you make appointments on Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday; otherwise the downstairs facilities have a steam room. I made my visit on a Monday in advance and had the place to myself, since it is normally closed except with appointments. I had Kay, who was kind enough to let me inside well before my appointment to use both the hot tub and steam room. Kay was very professional, giving me an invigorating and thorough body scrub and shampoo for roughly one hour, which included hot towels and pouring pails full of hot water. . She scrubbed most of my body, covering all but the parts that of course are off-limits. I skipped the face part of the scrub in order to add a few precious minutes of the massage. During the massage she tugged at some of my more stubborn muscles, followed by coating parts of my body with warm oil in a relaxing rub. Following this there were hot showers to rinse off, followed by a clean and roomy changing area. I walked out of Hani Joa feeling relaxed and refreshed. The staff overall is wonderful and accommodating and I will be sure to come back. They also have couples packages, and would love to bring my wife here.

Let me start by saying this place is the best place that I have ever been to. I went here with my wife for the first time and did not know what it was going to be like. I'm glad I did because that night we left there we felt like new people feeling 10 years younger. I do not remember the nice lady's name who greeted us but we felt welcomed the minute we arrived. We arrived early but she still got us ready for the couple's body scrub and massage. Basically we hit the sauna room for about 10 minutes and then headed into the jacuzzi. I just wished it was the bigger one of the two since I'm a bit tall but still was ok. Then came the cool part where we got on the table and they went to town. I think I lost a pound of skin I never knew could be scrubed off. We were rinsed off and then massaged for a while. It was the best. I recommend this place to any couple as we will go back on the regular.

I have been a costumer to hanijoa for 20 years now, last year I saw their sign "close" and just last January I found out that they reopened under new management! We'll, I have always been satisfied with both skin scrubbing and massage during all my visits from the past. My latest experience, I was very disappointed with the person who took care of me! I mean granted, she was very polite and hospitable, but her scrubbing and massaging ability is un acceptable, I even asked her to press harder! I don't know what and why, but she just did not do a good job! I was disappointed!☹

Requested an appoinment after coming 3 years ago. Walking inside immediately you can tell it's newly furnished, the furry carpets/mirrors. There is a steam room included, which was clean. I usually ask for deep pressure; the massage therapist understood did great. Might try the couples massage next time. Stamp cards would be a nice accessory.

I love this place I got an exfoliation and I feel like I have brand new skin. The staff was courteous and kind. The woman I had was really good at her job she scrubbed me everywhere. If you are looking for a fancy place with relaxing music turn around. This is definitely a no frills hole in the wall place and it could use some renovation. But if you are looking for a good experience and a good exfoliation at a decent price this is the place for you.

It doesn’t worth the visit any more after new owner, new management and most importantly new service staffs. The classic 55min scrub now turns into 15min steam room plus 30min scrub... with the same price. And there are no longer Korean staffs who know how to do the scrubs the right way. If you’d love a decent scrubs service after a beach weekend like me, please go to Annandale or Chantilly.

My fiancé and I came here for a couples scrub and massage special they promoted and had a great experience! They made us feel very comfortable and calm. We are definitely coming back!

By far WORST set of Eyelashes ever. Their lashes are not on any weft they are all clumped together in little plastic boxes. They only had 2 sizes which were both too short for me. After all was done, most of the lashes weren’t even placed properly. Didnt all go straight. You could see the large clumps of glue she used. Was very clear they were fake. Ive had strip lashes less obvi than these. Painful when they move around and as they start to come out they rip your lashes out. I only get lashes to enhance what I have. Now I have practically nothing left. One cluster was actually stuck to my eye lid and over time started to try and embed so now I have a red lump on my lid. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN. Probably wont get lashes for a long time after this. Every womans worst fear with falsies is here.

I traveled out of state for a bridal weekend and this spa experience was far most the best I’ve ever had. The ladies here have wonderful customer service, a clean peaceful environment and hands of angels. They were very accommodating with any of our request and made sure we never felt rushed. Anytime I am in the area I will be sure to visit over and over again.

This was my first time back since change in management. My gut told me turn around once I entered but I said give it a chance. Always listen to your gut. My normal is the couples scrub and massage. The massage was a NO NO. I didn’t bother allowing her to finish because it served no purpose. Not sure where and if she has training. The younger lady who performed the scrub, lol (I have to laugh to prevent being pissed and annoyed) same sentiment. She just slapped on some scrubbing gloves and when to town. She didn’t take into account that on different parts of your body can’t and shouldn’t be scrubbed with the same vigor. As for him he said I cant believe this. His scrub resulted in him coming out with wilts and he was also highly disappointed in the massage. Needless to say we miss Slyvia and we are in search of a new place.
