Generally I am very apprehensive of going to new massage therapists that I've never met, but my mom booked massages for my sisters and I, so off we went! The experience was so delightful and relaxing! The waiting/relaxation area is so calming and peaceful. We sat there, sipping tea and looking at magazines. Definitely arrive early to take advantage of this! Lindsay was my MT and she was wonderful. Experienced and professional. The heat packs on my back and neck were an amazing addition before the massage! I highly recommend this spa.

I visited Absolute Wellness last evening after a long hiatus and was so pleasantly received and taken care of. My massage was awesome as usual but the whole experience is nicer due to the attention to detail with the staff, rooms, beds, music, eucalyptus good smells (my choice), ventilation and temps. When you expect the perfect massage its so nice not have any negative distractions to wreck the experience. Will be going back for more. Bob

“a spa experience of tranquility for your body & mind!!!” November 7, 2015 From the moment you walk in the front door, your greeted with wonderful aromas of lavender an lemon,and your greeted by the owner Collen, who will give you a warm smile and a very friendly hello,and than bring you into the lounge area where you will be offered some fruit water or tea while you wait for your therapist to take you to the treatment room.The lounge is open and the temperature, lighting and decor will immediately start to melt your tension away.The treatment rooms are the best that I have ever been in,they are warm and relaxing and the bed is super-comfortable with a fluffy mattress topper that you just sink into, the therapists know their craft very well,and you will drift off while being treated with hot stones and towels from your Signature massage, you won't want to leave this sanctuary without making another appointment for an escape of wellness and healing

Just walking in to the spa itself is heavenly. The smells are very soothing, the staff is very friendly and courteous and Colleen is the owner extraordinaire! You should give the spa a try. You won't be disappointed!

First time getting a massage and Amber treated me well! My husband and I opted for the sweet escape couples massage package. When you first go in your senses are overwhelmed by the need to just feel relaxed due to the calming music and warm lighted room. We were asked to pick out our aromatherapy oils which they had at least 15 to choice from. After a glass of water and warm raspberry tea we were guided to candle lit room where clean white massage tables awaited for us. The massage began with warm pebble pillows they put on your back to soothe your muscles while they massaged each leg then arms. The warm packs are removed and warming oil is massaged onto your back. They then asked to flip us over to which a light scalp massaged ensued. Once finished they gave us a glass of water and told us we were allowed to sit in the waiting room for as long as we needed. Overall the staff was great (with Amber telling me exactly what she was going to do and what was to be expected without being annoying about it) and the atmosphere was warming and relaxing (without being too cheesy). Would totally recommend to anyone looking for a good massage.

Love, love, love this place! I've been to the spa multiple times now for deep tissue massages, facials and Brazilian waxing. I'm always met with friendly faces. The spa is beautifully designed, warm and serene. The spa services are the best - even better than Stowe! I definitely recommend Donnie - his deep tissue massages are amazing, I've seen Jackie for incredible facials and she also does the best Brazilian waxing in Burlington! I have been everywhere in Burlington and her Brazilian wax services are incredibly quick, thorough and most of all - painless! Just go. You won't regret it!

My cousin and I had the hour long swedish massage on 7/17/18. She had Margo, I had Lindsay. They were wonderful. Friendly, professional and good at what they do. The place was immaculate, and you felt relaxed from the minute you stepped inside. I only wish I could have met Colleen after speaking to her on the phone a few times. I never write reviews. But, not only do I want to write this review, I feel obligated to do so. Whenever someone asks me, “If you could have either a chef, a maid, a gardener, a chauffeur, or a nanny, which would you choose?” My answer? Always the same. “A masseuse!” It’s one of the few things I’ve allowed myself to splurge on and one of the things I love most in life. I’ve had massages for decades. I’ve had massages all around the world. Some good. A few, very, very good. Most, at what I would consider to be entry – mediocre level. As massages are a bit of a financial luxury, it’s been very frustrating to me spending good money, trying different masseuses, privately owned as well as massage chains, all in search of…a REAL massage, that one, singular experience which actually delivers what you expect to receive and catapults you into another level of being. But, aside from those rare, very good massages, I have learned to go into a massage session just hoping for a little bit of relaxation. And, of course, such was the expectation we had when I recently treated my daughter and I to a mother-daughter massage at Absolute Wellness Healing Spa in South Burlington, VT. BUT, neither of us was expecting to receive the singular BEST massage each of us has ever had – ever, anywhere!!! From the moment we entered the door, there was a palatable aura of genuine tranquility – soothing, calm, and peaceful – an environment so serene and relaxing, we immediately felt our tension melting away. Not only does Colleen greet you as a cherished, long-time friend, she has designed and created the perfect prelude to massage, an atmosphere that not only serves to stimulate pre-massage relaxation, but one that utterly delights and engages each of your senses: the spa’s soft visual beauty; an aromatic bouquet of lemon and lavender permeating the lounge; some deliciously refreshing fruit and herb-flavored water. And then….. We were escorted into the heavenly treatment room, sinking into the very fluffy, truly heavenly, blanketed layers of the treatment table. And, in an instant, my daughter and I both began our slow, sweet descent into true relaxation: with massage techniques that utterly envelope the entire body -- not as distinct sets of separate and individual muscle groups, unrelated and unconnected -- but massages that integrate the muscles, connecting them all together as one bodily essence. This very skilled manual dexterity technique combined with perfectly firm, yet gentle, pressure; long, sweeping, wave-like body strokes; and very gentle, yet fully releasing, body stretching – not to mention the aromatherapy and absolutely incredible hot stones, towels, and heat-packs of these Signature massages. And, to top it all off, unlike most massage facilities, the one-hour massages are actually a full hour -- 60, not 50, minutes. Our 90-minute massage was a full 90 minutes. (This 10-minute shortage has become quite a pet peeve of mine.) My daughter and I, both awash in our all-encompassing massage ‘experience,’ actually drifted away and transcended into something akin to a zen-like zone of ‘meditative being,’ with both mind and body completely and wholly relaxed and unified. Surprisingly – or perhaps not -- our bodies could still actually feel the very palpable muscular relaxation of our early morning massages well into the evening. Just WOW. I’ve never felt anything like it before. But, I know I will again. And soon. Under Colleen’s adroit inventiveness, I am certain each and every masseuse at Absolute Wellness would deliver the same masterful massage; however, I would be remiss if I did not give a ‘shout out’ to Sarah (my daughter’s masseuse) and Donnie (my masseuse). Donnie’s massage was, in fact, so amazing that even though I’d only known him for 90 minutes, I told him I was thinking of asking him to marry me! Absolute Wellness is truly a sanctuary of relaxation, healing, and therapy for inner relaxation, outer beauty, and pure bliss.

My Fiancé and I went in today for 1 hour (Swedish) couples massage. My fiancé had a young lady name Sonya and I have a man named Ben - let me just tell you I am IMPRESSED with this place, as soon as we walked in we were greeted by friendly, welcoming staff. It is soooo super CLEAN and relaxing here. My fiancé loved his massage and I got to say BEN gave me the best message of my life. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place. If your ever in the Burlington area. Today was a crazy, stressful day! All I wanted to do was jump on a plane and take a vacation. But right now, that’s impossible for me. So I found a way to get away from it all right here in town — I went to Absolute Wellness Healing Spa. The staff really cared about me when I needed caring for. As soon as I walked in I felt like I’d found a sanctuary. There was the music of birds singing and flowing water, and owner Colleen poured me a glass of peppermint-scented water herself. We all walked barefoot on the cool bamboo floor. There was a quiet, clean living room we could relax in; to read, meditate, think — or let our thoughts slow down. I had the Rejuvenating Facial & Upper Body Massage. All I can say is it was sixty minutes of bliss. I’ve been to other spas here in Vermont and my esthetician Jackie was by far the best. She was devoted to making me feel better and finally, I could relax! I forgot my stress and took in the massage with a clear, peaceful mind. I could feel my skin getting that deep down clean I can never reach at home. She did extractions with a thorough but gentle hand. And it was worth it for the aromatherapy alone; she ended it with a rose and lavender moisturizer that was heavenly. If you haven’t had a treatment at Absolute Wellness Healing Spa you owe it to yourself to try one. I’m definitely going back.

I brought my 15 year old daughter here for a facial. It was not her first experience, but by far her worst experience. She got into the car and cried saying that it was 45 minutes of pain and torture. The provider went way too far with extractions to the point that we are now worried about infection and/or scarring. Very upsetting.
