I am so happy with Gem Spa. This place is refreshing and clean and they bend over backwards to meet my needs. I never have a problem scheduling my appointments and love the customer service that I receive from the employees there. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is interested in what this Medical Spa has to offer.

I can not give a positive review. 1st they were very hard to schedule with. 2nd Im a strawberry blind and purchased laser hair removal package. In doing research before my purchase I was concerned because of my coloring so I called and asked if they could do laser hair treatment on strawberry blond. I was assured yes and to go ahead and make the purchase. When I got in (after multiple rescheduling). The treatment had no effect on me. They would not reimburse my purchase but offered a facial instead. I tried to schedule that but after the 2nd attempt I gave up. Not worth my time and I consider it a waste of $150.

Sure, $99 for hair removal is great, but you can not get in touch with them ever! I have been calling for 2 weeks, and still nothing to re-schedule an appointment. To even get my first appointment there, was a joke. I had to have my mom that lives down the street, to go in and make the appointment for me since they didnt answer my calls or returned my voicemails for almost a month. I have done 4 out of the 6 treatmeants for my armpits, and my hair is still growing how it use to. I am a white female, with thin, slow growing hair, and still nothing. I though by the fourth time I would see some results. Not even sure if its worth finishing up my treatments. The only reason why they have business is because of their deals. So stressful.

Candi is very professional and the sweetest lady I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She is hard to reach sometimes and it might take her a few days to get back to you, but she will get back to you. I have had to reschedule an appointment before and it wasnt a hassle at all. Very clean and professional establishment plus great prices. I will never go anywhere else.

Excellent service here at Gem Spa. I started with a Groupon (an amazing rate to begin with) and chose to continue with a few other treatments. The prices are exceptionally competitive, being lower than any other places I've researched. Previously located at a doctor's office, the new location is clean and well decorated. You can see that there is a lot of room for expansion. I'm excited to see what they add to the services as they continue to expand!

Bought a groupon, figuring how hard can laser hair removal be. I had my first appointment and it was ok, but it took several weeks before they would answer the phone or return messages to even get started. They booked me out like 6 weeks after I finally got a hold of them. The place is a little dodgey. A run down office that's never open. (I tried to stop by several times since no one was returning my phone calls.) Ideally you're supposed to get this done once every 6 weeks or so. Every time I call to try to make an appointment (because they keep cancelling the ones already made) it has take at least three weeks for someone to get back to me and that's only after making me feel like a stalker. I've only been able to get two treatments so far and I've the groupon since March. Just got off the phone with them again....they're cancelling my appointment. Both times I have been able to go in for treatment it's been horribly unprofessional. Opening the procedure room door while my shirt is off (having armpits done), not hardly waiting until my shirt is off before zapping me. I can't say if the treatments are working or not yet because I've only been able to have it done two times. Unrelated to how bad the business is, the laser itself doesn't hurt at all. I was hoping to have some improvement by summer but summer is half over and it looks like it'll be Christmas before I'm able to finish up and hopefully see some hair removal. UPDATE: After writing this review I was given an after hours appointment. I thought perhaps this was to help compensate me for all the scheduling mishaps. I was very quickly proven wrong. The place was empty except me and one lady, the owner I think. She told me I was a liar and was very threatening. Telling me that every negative thing I write will be removed and she's already told google I'm a liar. I told her that everything in the review was accurate and asked what she felt was a lie. She just repeated over and over that I was a liar. At which point, feeling very attacked, I said, "I stand by everything I said. It was all accurate and I think it's a little unprofessional to threaten and retaliate against your customers for writing a review you don't like." To which, her response was, "YOU'RE UNPROFESSIONAL!" What? That doesn't even make sense. "Ma'am, I'm the customer, it's not my job to be professional, and everything I said in my review was accurate." At which point she refused to reschedule me just staring me down--despite having already paid for a full laser hair removal package through groupon (I bought 6 treatments, this was my third). When I finally decided to leave after being stared down with the only words she'd speak to me was "liar. you're a liar" I decided to leave as this clearly wasn't going anywhere and she clearly wasn't going to honor the remaining treatments I bought. I started to leave only to have to call out after me by saying "we're just not a good fit" confirming that she had no intention of honoring what I've already paid for. Hopefully groupon will back up the purchase. They're usually pretty good at that. I still stand by my original review as this time she wiped the goggles with a dirty cloth and tossed them at me. The room still had crinkled paper on the table from the last client and clearly had not been cleaned or wiped down in between users (a problem in hot Utah where everyone comes in sweaty). However, the hand-written notes taped to the windows were gone. It might be a "new" facility as she claims but it's still not up to my standards. And clearly more unprofessional than I had ever imagined. And this a review, with my opinion, which should be allowed to be posted and people can decide for themselves.

Love Gem Spa! Prices are great, staff is fantastic, very accommodating! I have been to Gem spa for both Botox and laser hair removal and have been super happy with both. Jenni, the nurse who does Botox, is very professional, offers options, and my face has never looked better! I have been to a few other spas and they were not only more expensive, but I feel like they didn't give me all of the units that I paid for. With Gem spa, I had less units injected and much better results. So far, I have had 2 laser treatments with Tara and Candi and my underarm hair is GONE! I am in heaven! I would not consider going anywhere else! I am loving GEM SPA!

I really like Candi and now GEM MEDICAL SPA IN SANDY FORMALLY- ClearTouch Medical Spa.They have been super nice and very professional with me. I originally called in and had left a message to get more detailed information on purchasing a package and Candi called me back the next day, I was scheduled in the next week! I am currently doing a Brazilian hair removal package with her, and have no complaints at all. She made me feel comfortable the very first visit, which I was originally a little nervous about because of the personal area. Candi was fast and so far my results are amazing! I have done 3 treatments, with 3 more to go and I have already noticed a huge difference! I have never had any problems with cancellations or her not returning my calls with in a day or two. I am planning on doing other areas when I am finished with my Brazilian treatments! UPDATE- I just bought a package for more treatments for hair removal, so excited to get that done! Thanks Candi and team!

I had 3 fotofacials from Groupon. The 1st went well. The 2nd burned but effective. The 3rd was horrible. I had blisters and bleeding within 8 hours and I will never go back.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!! WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD!! They NEVER answer phones. After a MONTH of calling and leaving voicemail messages, I finally scheduled an appointment. And guess what happened AFTER I had CANCELLED my JOB for the day, drove all the way to Sandy, wasted time to find their "suite" in the middle of tens of buildings and driveways with NO maps or signs???!! I see a note on their 5-inch "desk" saying that THEIR LASER IS BROKEN AND CANDI WILL CALL BACK TO RESCHEDULE APPOINTMENTS!!!! After all of this??!!!! Can you imagine my frustration??!! NO ONE was even there to apologize!!! I have NEVER seen such horrible customer service. And I am serious when I say that even if they PAY ME $100 to do laser hair removal on me, I WILL DECLINE!! CONS: don't answer phones, don't call to cancel your appointment when they suddenly close, disrespectful, can't make appointments easily (or at all!), takes 30 mins to find the right building and suite since has NO signs (!), don't answer the phone to even help give directions when you can't find the building, unapologetic, broken laser device,....!!! etc. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE THAT I HAVE LEFT A BAD REVIEW! I think this shows just how frustrated I am!!

I am having a difficult time scheduling appointments with Clear Touch. They have never answered their phone when I've called, and can take up to a week or 2 to return my phone call when I leave a message. I've tried texting as well and usually never get a response. I bought the groupon, which was a great deal however it's not worth the hassle of trying to schedule an appointment. Please start answering your phone and return your messages the same day!

I got a groupon to get my under arms done back when it was still Clear Touch Medical Spa. The location move (which was just across a parking lot) didn't interrupt my treatments at all. Their customer service has been wonderful from the start. The groupon made it very affordable, and I have also been offered a couple of ways to earn free treatments! Free is always good. Also, I moved during this time and when I accidentally got my days mixed up and flaked on my appointment, they rescheduled me and very kindly didn't charge me for the missed appointment.

I have been going to GemSpa now for 3 treatments on my Brazilian and underarms. Their laser is virtually pain free and my results have been amazing!! I used to get terrible ingrown hairs and haven't had any in months. The staff is friendly and make me feel really comfortable. Their office is modern and clean. Best prices I have found by far!!! I would recommend them to everyone.

It was always very hard to schedule an appointment. My sister and I went together because I bought us a group-on together to get laser hair removal. Almost every appointment we had scheduled was cancelled or rearranged. They are not accommodating for people with normal working schedules. Many times my sister or I had to take of work in order to go to our appointments and often times those were the appointments that got cancelled and they always cancelled them last minutes, so we weren't able to go back to work. They never answer the phone and when they do they are a little passive aggressive. It was EXTREMELY hard for my sister and I to schedule an appointment together. This last week we had an appointment and the laser broke so they had to reschedule all the appointments, but they were only willing to go outside of their business hours for few days to accommodate everyone who needed to reschedule. Once you get there they are very kind. But it has been very frustrating trying to schedule appointments with them especially when our appointments take no longer than 5 minutes.

My experience with Gem Spa has been ridiculous and a waste of time. I purchased a Groupon and my experience has been nothing but negative. Scheduling with this company is impossible. After 3 phone attempts with no return calls, and texts to a number their voicemail provided- I received no response. I’ve spent the past 2 days working with Groupon for a refund. What a pain! I wouldn’t recommend this Spa to anyone.

I bought a package from Candi years ago for lazer hair removal. She was always very thorough and paid attention to detail especially when it came to safety. She let me know that hormones can make the lazer more uncomfortable, so I was able to schedule appointments better. She also made me aware how sun exposure can effect the treatment and did not allow me to complete a treatment if I had a suntan. She has also been a great help to the community, especially the teaching and community garden that I run. She has contributed vouchers for services to the silent auction that benefits our garden. Her services have been the highlight of our auction and have really helped us to raise funds to keep us growing.

I I have been going to Gem Spa for my laser treatments and have received nothing but excellent customer service and quality work. I was scared at first and when I told them I was worried about pain, I was treated with care and the laser was not at all what I imagined, it was not painful at all! I saw an instant change the first treatment I received! I love it!!! The environment of the spa is very soothing and relaxed me the moment I walked in! My work schedule is hectic and Gem Spa has accommodated my scheduling needs/conflicts and for that a business should always be rewarded. They have a customer for life! Thank you Gem Spa!!!

Great when you can get in for an appt. staff is nice, however, it took an entire year to get in six treatments. They ALWAYS call to reschedule your appt last minute, never answer their phone, can't leave messages due to their inbox full, takes a week or two of solid everyday calling to get a response. When you do show up for your appt, no one is in the office and no one calls to tell you they are not coming in. (Two hours of driving later, plus paying a babysitter, and now probably waiting another week to hear back to reschedule another appt- I don't even care if I get anymore laser done- it not worth it)

This is the best experience I've had with laser treatments in Utah. Candi always returns my phone calls and is great with working to get me in even though I'm really busy. Her laser blast a shot of cold stuff as the laser goes off so you don't need any ultrasound jelly and the appointments are quicker and less messy. The prices are excellent and the service is quick, friendly, and efficient. Her laser is the least painful of any of the ones I've tried and I get great results.

Good experience with laser (some canceled appointments by Gem Spa that weren't hard to reschedule.) Skip them for other treatments. They've switched from using an MD to a nurse with scary results.
