I've been a few times in 2015 to enjoy the amenities. Gratefully, they've only IMPROVED on their customer service/kindness. They were about 3.5-4 star my first few times, and after reviews they've sent me, it's like they take SERIOUSLY what we as clients are looking for, well heck, it's the best spa in Texas and we would want only the best, no?
But the genuine treatment, not fake, as I've experienced in many fine resorts in our country, helps me appreciate the ambiance, serenity, and beauty of the surrounding area.
The outdoor bamboo area, altho delightful late fall and mid-spring is KILLER summer time, so plan on NOT booking the bamboo room during the June-Sept months. And for those sensitive to the sun (such as moi) their indoor pool is semi indoors, meaning it's in a cooling gazebo-like spot so the breeze of outdoors can be felt, careful of the wasps, and yet don't feel trapped by humidity as some gazebo-style pools can have one feel...
The dining is delectable, light yet satisfying which is what one needs when enjoying a spa day. Mind they serve wine, but VERY limited quantities due to the lightheadedness one may experience through treatments. Be advised, the prices for the imbibements will hopefully encourage one to enjoy the herbal teas instead, as the glass will be filled 1/8 or less for that wine selection...
And to top it off, the young lady in the gift shop is AMAZING!! So knowledgeable, so kind to assist, offer to wrap for gift-giving, make suggestions, inform of opportunities to have items ordered, sent, no hassles... She's been a dream for many gift ideas.
