What a quaint little shop! When you walk in the door, you immediately feel at home...the name absolutely describes it. The service was great and I even enjoyed a cup of freshly brewed coffee while I waited for the stylist to finish with the other client. I only got a haircut and I usually dont care one way or another how it looks because I dont have the time to do anything except a bun or a ponytail but where she managed to impress even me was with how she needed me to understand simple ways to style my hair. She took the time to explain things I could try while styling my hair in a simple way that I could manage. I only went to her today because she was the first place that answered with an opening available and I could not be more pleased with the result and plan to use her for my next haircut. A very friendly salon that provides excellent professional service. I moved here in December of 2008 and tried many salons in the area. I thought Cozi Cottage was only a massage salon. How wonderful it was to find out a year ago there was a full service salon in our little town of Kempner, Tx. The salon offers two stylists, hair cuts & style, hair color, perms, hair & eyelash extensions, pedicures, massage & much much more. Shawna will be doing my hair till I die. Lol. I loved my haircut and I don’t say it lightly. I have trust issues with letting people cut my hair but I took a chance and donated a good portion of my hair and got it cut by Shawna who took excellent care of my hair. She explained everything she was doing and made sure I was okay with everything before cutting. This shop is adorable and very homey! I have been going here for about 6 months now. My hair looks and feels wonderful and I just got a LASH LIFT!! Amazing!! Every time you visit, no matter what your appointment is for, you get spa style treatment. It is very client-oriented. If you're going for a hair appointment, the stylist does not attempt to get you in and out as quickly as possible just to fill her chair with as many clients as possible in one day. She is very thorough with each client and makes sure she gets it right without a doubt. Each time I have gone I have been offered fresh coffee and bottled water. The shop is very clean, well maintained, and in a low traffic area. Highly recommend this shop, especially if you need a few hours to just relax and be pampered!

I've been knowing the owner of this business as well as her daughter and husband for a little while now and we recently became better acquainted just recently. I love what they did for me on such short notice and how I was treated from the moment I walked through the door until I got ready to leave. And they have a trending payment system. If you are looking for a salon that will go out of their way to not only show you each and every product they are putting on your hair and will explain what it is and why they are using it and will show how in one sitting the night and day difference, check them out and tell them how you found out about them. Budget friendly, top notch pampering! I have thick, curly hair, and next to nobody knows how to cut it right. Shawna did a great job on it. Getting lots of compliments on it. And my feet feel fabulous after my pedicure! Will be back for more pampering!

This place is great! I've been getting my hair cut by the same woman for over half a decade, and when she moved, I was nervous about looking for a new hair stylist. Shawna was amazing, she listened to what I wanted and made sure to tell me everything she was doing as she was doing it, and was very thorough. My hair is very short and thick and so it can be messed up easily, but she did a fantastic job! I love my haircut, and the eyebrow wax she gave me is perfectly even and looks great. I'll definitely be coming back!

I scheduled a pedi-wrap appointment for a friend and myself. We had one tech between the two of us, who was ill at the time of service. It was our first experience having a waterless pedi. It took an hour for her to remove gel nail polish from my toes (ran out of acetone). We received steam, moisturizer and a light massage. No wrap, no cuticle or callus care. The website service described was not what we received at all. A discount of $10 was given due to the confusion (we each paid $26 for steam and peppermint lotion, I shouldn’t have paid at all). They were very nice at the salon but I sent a text to the owner and didn’t receive a reply. They are clearly not in the business of building clientele.

She took time to make me feel cared about, did an amazing job, even took time to teach my husband how to curl my hair because she saw how interested he was and how much he took care of me when I needed help. So I ran into a lady at my nail salon that had a certain haircut style (Joan Jett/Farrah Fawcet-style) I asked "Where did you get your haircut" and yes this is the place.. she told me Shawna.. well although it was her daughter Racheal that cut my hair.. I'm here to tell you both ladies are wonderful!! I was scared, apprehensive & nervous as no one has ever cut my hair the way I used to wear it in the 70's and I had been so very unhappy.. Really great private environment where you don't feel rushed to just briefly tell your hairdresser what you want and hope for the best. Shana really took the time to listen to my concerns and what I wanted and stopped several times to make sure she was still going in the direction that I wanted for my haircut. I should've known something was wrong when I was asked to sign some form! I'm out $200.00, my hair is just as curly, & it's brittle too! I've had this procedure done before in HH, they did a magnificent job...I just didn'twant to drive to HH! Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone for specialty jobs...

I went to a salon and the hair stylist pretty much butchered my hair. It was uneven, wasn't blended and about 6 inches cut off. I came here and it was such an amazing experience, Shawna is exceptional! She made my hair beautiful! She actually cares and listens. I was a nervous wreck and she calmed my fear of getting it fixed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! I found my way to Cozi Cottage by sheer luck, but I am so glad I did!!! I was going back to work after being a stay at home mom for 4.5 yrs and wanted my hair cut and dyed, but due to my busy schedule and training I only ever had time on Sundays to get it done and this was the only place in a 50 mile radius of where I lived that was open on a Sunday. Once I scheduled my appt, I received a quick response and a one-on-one consultation. Shawna was very understanding of my hesitation to give her a chance (due to past experiences where the stylists have always butchered it... and I do mean ALWAYS) She was very knowledgeable, understood exactly what I was aiming for, and walked me through the process of what she would be doing and why she chooses to do it that way. When I arrived I was greeted immediately, seated within minutes, she again talked me through what she was going to do, and talked to me like we had been friends our whole lives while she did my hair. My hair cut turned out AMAZING! and when we realized the color didn't take to my hair as expected she offered to do it again free of charge. I have never had such a positive experience when getting my hair cut that I still, to this day, drive over 45 minutes just to have my hair cut by Shawna @ Cozi Cottage!
