The woman who did my nails did a phenomenal job. My shellac lasted three weeks and I clean homes and nanny professionally. I do tons of hands on work. They made me and my boyfriend feel special by offering drinks, snacks, and making my two puppies feel welcome.

I'm currently sitting here receiving the worst pedicure I have ever had. What should be a relaxing experience has been turned into something rushed and done poorly. I came in with shellac on my toes; something I always get. The gentleman instead of soaking the polish off insisted on using a drill. Fine. When I told him it hurt he then decided to start using a nail file, repeatedly scraping each toe to get the polish off. Mind you, he was simultaneously scraping my skin -ouch. Why on earth he wouldn't just let them soak for 5-10 minutes is beyond me. All the while my feet are sitting out not soaking in glorious warm water. Him attempting to rush the process has made this treat for myself quite miserable. Then to top it off the massage was lousy. Half the reason I get pedicures. My two year old could have massaged better than this man. Then after applying the lotion because seriously at this point we can't even call it a massage. He rubbed lotion in. He proceeded to put my feet back in the water. Never ever have I had this happen. Honestly, at this point I wish I could just get up and leave. But, alas I need my toes painted for a wedding. Anyway, save your money. Go to pinkys up at 1604 and Redland Rd. See David Jr. he gives incredible massages. I mean the kind of foot rub that puts you to sleep.

When you walk in, simply take a seat/or sign in and if not immediately, Someone will acknowledge you and ask what service you need. They have complementary beverage and a along with a wide selection of gel polishes to keep you busy until your called.

In response to my husband review. I want to clarify that I don’t have to mention how far I live. The person who answered me over the phone when I was explaining the situation did not like what I was telling her. She did get bit rude and she requested me to go the same day to get it fixed. That’s why I had to mentioned how far I lived and I won’t be able to make it. I am not the type of person who will call and lie about something like this. I have been going to this location several times and this was first time that something like this happened to me. Secondly, if your priority is customer service then what about my nails not being completely clean out the nail polish after my service was done and not only that, but I was left in the pedicure stand without being check back to help me put my shoes back on. That doesn’t matter either. The technician just went to help someone else. Do not generalize by saying that some of your customers do this. It is very disappointing to read your response. I won’t be returning to this location.

Professional, friendly and clean what more could you want! This place is great! I brought my 8 year old daughter, everyone was really friendly and treated her and her nails like a adult manicure. They even gave her a small Hello Kitty box with hair clips and hair ties. My solar nails came out flawless, we will definitely be back!

I can always get in here without an appointment (but I do avoid peak times), and all the nail technicians are very good. I only go in for pedicures, though, because I hate to do them myself. Good prices and customer service.

It was my first time getting my nails done professionally so I went here which was a bad idea. They set my expectations way too high for the future. They were great! The man who did my nails was quick but not rushed. The place was clean and the staff was kind, offering us drinks. Next time I visit San Antonio, I'm coming here again.

I brought my 14 year old granddaughter yesterday around 6:15. I asked a female employee about pricing since no prices are displayed. I was told 18, 35 and 45. So my granddaughter wanted the 35.00 with gel. We waited approximately 30 minuets since they were busy and only 3 employees were working. So a male employee started on her nails and she showed him what she wanted because she had a picture on her cell phone. After about 20 minuets I decided to leave and get a few things at HEB and I told my granddaughter I would come back and just wait in the parking lot. So at 8:08 my granddaughter calls me and said the lady we spoke to at first said it was 60.00! I got down and even though they were closed by then several customers were still there. I asked the employee why she told me 35.00 and now I’m getting charged 60.00!? She said something about the nails being long, acrylic and the time it took! We didn’t ask for acrylic! She wouldn’t budge and I was very upset because I felt like they took advantage of myself and my granddaughter. I asked my granddaughter after we left if they discussed anything about it being more and she said no they didn’t even talk..... Make sure you know what you are going to pay before any services are done. I’ve heard of nail salons doing this to others.....

I took my mom here and its one of the best nail salons we've been to! Coming from New York, we have a lot of choices and many time its hard to come across a consistently good nail salon. Very fortunately we have came across a few and we were even more lucky when we visited SA and came here. The employees are friendly, the salon looks astonishing and the prices are great! Plus the owner is just the sweetest person. Plus her daughter is extremely helpful. She asked us frequently if we wanted water or anything else. Very good place and I'd definitely recommend it.

I found my new nail salon! She really took her time with everything. The pedicure was amazing too. She went to town with removing the dead skin on my feet. I've never had someone spend so much time with that. The massage was awesome too. Word of advice here though is make an appointment. This place is very popular, so you probably won't get in without an appointment.

If you're in need of some pampering, then this is the spot! Love how clean and meticulous this shop is and how well they take care of their customers. They even have a loyalty program for frequent visits! They can get busy on fridays, which is understandable but they will call or text you when your spot is ready. All the staff speak clearly and are so super friendly!! Love this place and I highly recommend it to everyone!!

My wife got a manicure yesterday, today the color is coming off and when she called, they said that the don’t guarantee the color to stay on and if she needs to go and get it fixed it has to be done today. She explained her that we live 30 minutes away. She could make it this weekend, she was told that was not an option. She has been going there a few times and honestly is very disappointing their lack of customer service, isn’t about the money, it is about how you treat your customers specially those who have been going there for quite sometime. Customer service should be their number one priority. Her manicure was not the best experience, the technician didn’t even bother to clean around her nails to remove the nail polish and my wife didn’t say anything. Also got a pedicure and was just left there and had to put her shoes on , which normally before the technician puts color on your toes, your shoes are on at that point. The technician just left to help another customer, again she didn’t say anything.

I went there yesterday and it was a HORRIBLE experience. Don’t waste your money there. Went to get manicures with my sister and I got a full set. The lady who did my nails was very rough, she was rushing through it as if people were waiting, which mind you the place was EMPTY, and ended up drawing blood on 2 fingers. Her own nails were disgusting and DIRTY. There was literal dirt under her nails and she she stopped midway from cutting my cuticles to cut a piece of her own dead skin with a tool she was still using on me which wasn’t hygienic AT ALL. Nails came out all funky and misshapen. When I asked her to correct them, she totally ignored me. My sister’s manicure wasn’t good either. She had air bubbles everywhere and the guy who did her nails did it half-assed. Still paid and tipped them for the service but WILL NOT GO BACK.

They are so kind ! and the prices are good.They are delicate and careful. Update (September 2019) ---> My recent experience in this Spa was unpleasant, the old man who attended me was very impatient and very rude, it seems that nobody told him that "the customer is right." I asked him to make me manicure but he did not do everything that included in service, because he was upset. He also made me acrylic nails and it was a torture to have to simply guide him to get the results I was looking for (results that I had previously had with the people who attended before in april-may 2019). In case you go, the Nina who is attending the place is very friendly so if you can ask for her. They don't have a lot of staff so you might have to wait. If you are going to get a pedicure, young boys are very professional and careful.

Went to Alamo Nails & Spa on a whim for a mother/daughter manicure. We did the new dip manicure. I am so happy with the results, especially with how they took the time to shape my nails so nicely. I am usually embarrassed about my fingernails, but I certainly am not now. I will definitely go to Alamo Nails & Spa again.
