Today was my first visit, I just moved to Rapid City. I had Julia do my color and cut, best color I've ever had, I've been trying to get this exact color for years, and she achieved it for me,great atmosphere, no wait time, and Julia is fantastic!! I will be back for sure! I love my hair!

I was so impressed with Mystique Edge and all they did for me and my bridesmaids the weekend of my wedding! The salon itself was perfect - we had about 9 people come in for mani/pedi appointments and we could all sit in the Spa lounge area comfortably. The mimosas they brought us were definitely a great bonus! The next day we came back for hair and makeup and they were so efficient we got done with 7 appointments an hour early! Nothing like being ahead of schedule on your wedding day. All the stylists were great. Vicki was particularly helpful in assisting me in all the scheduling and logistics of all of it - she made it so easy! I’d definitely recommend!

Worst massage of my LIFE!!!! Don't waste your time or money on this place. From the moment I walked through the door I waited to be seen for a scheduled appointment. The "massage therapist" didn't introduce herself and just told me to undress and lay face down and that was it! I told her that I wanted a full body and she didn't even do my arms. She attempted to do pressure points but she was just pushing on bone. Places she rubbed soft she should have been rubbing hard and vesa versa. When she was done all she said was "that's it"! There was no "take your time standing up" or "I'll be right outside when your finished changing". She seemed like she couldn't wait to leave and be done. When I came out of the room to go pay she didn't know how to work the register and neither did any of the other employees. It took 4 of them to figure it out. Everyone who worked here looked like they were extremely young and inexperienced at running a salon. This place was a real joke and it makes me upset just writing this review. Please find another place to spend your time and money.

I had an interesting experience there today. I had a manicure and a one hour massage. My nails look amazing and my massage felt great. The only reason that I am only giving two stars is because the front desk staff had the personality of a cardboard box. I was not greeted in a friendly manner. I felt like I was an inconvenience to their day. Their customer service was atrocious. Nobody smiled or said hello. I was not thanked when I left. Their front desk staff could use some serious customer service training. It is quite unfortunate because the experience is delightful.

I no longer have any services done at Mystique Edge and have not for some time. I give them 5 stars for massage but that is it. My experiences with their salon have left me feeling devalued. The person who provided services treated me very poorly, and I felt like I was nothing but a bother to her. As my pedicure was drying, before the service was complete, she left work. I finished up my pedicure myself, ensuring the polish was dry, and then left, with a decision to never return.

I can't believe I paid good money for a haircut and got such a bad one. As soon as I got home I noticed uneven edges and later 2 other family members noticed it too (without knowing I had a haircut). I tried to fix it myself since I didn't have the luxury of time and money to go get another one. My stylist wasn't very personal and I honestly feel like she wasn't very experienced and seriously a million miles away while cutting my hair. I really hate to write bad reviews but I feel you should be warned. I will never go there again.

It turned out Vanessa was able to get me in and gave me a real hair style!! Thanks so much Vanessa! Less than par for the $$. Requested specific areas for deep tissue massage-which were ignored. Agree with another review about staff being standoffish. Felt degraded and put down the second we asked for something specific. Imagine that? I'm paying you to do a job, then you become annoyed when I ask for something different than what YOU wanted to do. Tried to speak with management, have called, sent emails with no response. Would not recommend wasting time or money on this place.

I went to get my nails done there and it was an absolutely terrible! They did not take their time to do things! They just put polish on my nails and made me pay for something I could do at home. I never recommend going there to any of my friends. I suggest you also consider going to another salon.

I have only been here for a massage and can't comment on the hair salon, but the spa is great! The atmosphere is great, with the little touches like real glasses (not plastic) for the lemon water and cloth hand towels making a big difference. Most importantly, if you get a massage ask for Donna. Without qualification or caveats, she is the best masseuse I've ever had.

We go here as a group each year with our company. I got a pedicure and the young lady was nice and did a great job. I got a massage and that was just heavenly. She even gave me a tip about tennis balls for massge on my neck at home. Their whole staff is attentive and nice. The atmosphere in there is relaxing . Great place!

I have been going to Mystique Edge since 2008 and every service I have had has been just wonderful. I have had everything done from hair and makeup to waxing and nails. The techs are always wonderful and super friendly. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is the front desk staff. They seem annoyed when I ask for an appointment that is already booked. I try to call far enough in advance. It's fine if you don't have availability, but don't be rude about it. I have also had the same girl hang up on me twice when I am mid sentence. "I'm sorry to be so complicat--" click. Same girl two different occasions. If the services weren't so good I would not be coming here.

Booked 2 (90 minute) massages over a month ago. My friend and I drove 2 and 3 hours to meet up and get massages for her birthday, only to find out they messed up, and booked 1 (60 minute) and 1 (90 minute) massage and there was nothing they would do about it. I won’t be back.

Who could possibly have bad things to say about a place that treats you like a queen for a day? I went in for a massage and mani/pedi. Both were great. (I've never had someone ask me if I want light, medium, or deep touch! Wow!) The best parts were the service. They provided me with a robe that fit, and trust me, I was sure they wouldn't have anything in my size! Then, when their "snacks" (try hearty lunch!) had ham in them and I mentioned I don't eat much meat, they made me something special from the kitchen. Plus, everyone was so kind and funny. I had a blast, and my nails look amazing!

This is the only poor review I've ever left for a business but I had to fight back tears leaving here and I don't cry, like, ever so I figured I'd caution others as politely as possible. I brought a picture of the color I wanted and what I left with looks like, well, like nothing was done. Apparently ombre hair at this salon is just having a mass of dye plopped onto your head for a half hour. My hair didn't look any different at all. I could've put flat dye on my head from Walgreens all by myself for the nonexistent results I got. When I gently addressed being dissatisfied with my hair the stylist wouldn't correct it because she "had another client" and I was essentially brushed off after spending over half a grand here with my mother. I never saw my stylist after she left the room nor did I see hide nor hair of this alleged client. On the BIG PLUS, all of the staff including my stylist, in spite of the abysmal "coloring" (and I use that word generously) I received, were very nice. The massage, facial, and pedicure were great, everyone was so kind and fun to talk to, and I will say that my mother's hair came out looking great and my skin and muscles feel awesome and the young woman who did my mother's hair kindly stepped in and corrected the nonexistent cut I received, though the dye job remains unfixed. If I return in the future it will be for spa services only, my hair is better cared for elsewhere because being excited for a brand new hair color and leaving feeling like you've wasted your time and wanting to cry did not feel great. Your skin, body, and nails will love it here but, depending on your stylist, your hair might not.

I don't usually leave bad reviews but the service I received sucked. I have a short pixie haircut . When I called I asked for someone who has a lot of experience with short hair. I think they just gave me the next available person. When I got there I told the stylist that I'd had a lot of bad haircuts and was caution about who cut my hair. She assured me she knew what she was doing. She didn't. She gave me the worst haircut I have ever had. It's uneven and gapped in several places. She left it way long on the top than I asked for. She also left the neck really long and uneven. My husband has to fix it when I got home. But she cut the bangs really short and uneven. And she styled it completely different than the pictures I showed her. Not only did I receive a crappy haircut but when I said I had a hard time finding someone who was good at pixies she said, "well a lot of stylist aren't comfortable cutting man hairstyles." And then after she was done she said, "there, that is better than the helmet hair you had before". I mean seriously? Who says that kind of crap to a girl? It has been two weeks and I'm terrified to go have anyone try to fix it because I'm scared they will make it worse but it is growing out really awkward and ugly also. I actually cried when I got home...and I never cry. My short style has always made me feel pretty but the crap she did to me has made me feel horrible about myself. I will never ever go to this place again.
