Arrived at the Boardwalk Inn at 1:00 pm with my family, including a toddler. Check in is at 4 pm, but we requested a room as soon as possible so our toddler could take a nap. They told us they would try. We went to lunch and checked back at 2:30 but they said nothing was available. We waited another 45 minutes in the lobby, watching them hand out room keys to others, but they told us our room still wasn't available. When my husband got upset, they told him to "sit down and wait."

We go here every year. Always so much fun. The beach is great not over crowed on the private section. The deli is expensive 15 dollars for a large sub that would half that at a publix. But you are on a resort so prices will be up there. The sub was great though

Pool is very crowded like all the time. Top of each hour is adult swim time for 10 mins so no kids in the pool for 10 mins. Its fun trying to tell your kids they cant get in. Beach is a little walk

Room access was poor as there is a single elevator to service 6 floors. Room was clean but the shower had a certain all the way to the floor. No door or tub seems pretty cheap.

We rented a house in the Isle of Palms (off the Wild Dunes property) and wanted to enjoy a manicure and pedicure. Service was excellent! Later that week, my husband had a spa appointment for reflexology and he was equally pleased. Valet parking is easily accessible and free (you should tip these kids!). Shout out to Mary in the Spa. She gave an wonderful dinner recommendation that won the day with 7 picky people! (And my nails still look great!)

Seasons and seasons of selfish tourists with no respect for the earth have trampled the dunes away. I've watched them receed 10-15 feet, further if you're closer to the boardwalk, after living here since 2004.

Our family stayed at a house in Wild Dunes and absolutely loved it! The resort area is so nice and the beach is great- very clean. We will definitely be returning for our next beach vacation.

It was a very luxurious experience. The Wild Dunes resort is basically it's own section of Isle of Palms beach, and you walk straight down from the Inn to the beach. The rooms are very well kept, and the king bed was perfect. Overall great experience!

Great service. Massage area has nice atmosphere, mani/pedi area offers a large window for your viewing pleasure or simply close your eyes and listen to the smooth sounds playing throughout the spa. Immerse yourself in relaxing comfort with Sand & Sea Spa services. Try a package. Its worth it.

Megan Swatt from the Sand & Sea Salon was our hairstylist for me, my mother, mother-in-law and four bridesmaids for my wedding day. She was nothing short of OUTSTANDING! She did a run through with me a few days before, which was terrific. It allowed us to experiment with a few different styles and I ultimately picked a style that Megan created after she saw the types of things I liked in pictures and she was able to play with my hair. The style she created was beautiful, it lasted all night long, and it looked terrific in pictures. Despite never having worked on anyone but me, all the ladies were thrilled with their hairstyles. She blew out and teased my mom's hair and curled and styled my mother-in-law's hair. All of my bridesmaids opted for updos and she did unique styles tailored to the type of hair of each of them. Everyone was beautiful. If you are looking for a #weddinghair stylist, I strongly recommend Megan!

Directions through the resort aren't easy to follow, the rooms are large (I stayed at the villas), restaurants are resort prices but the food is just good, several pools one is adults only, neither the boardwalk inn or villas are directly on the beach. We probably won't be back.

Beautiful, expansive resort - maybe a mile long with lots of beach and trees. Fairly quiet. The amenities were decent in the public areas, and our condo was very nice, although missing a few things. Service was really great, went above and beyond to correct any deficiencies.

SAND & SEA SALON AND SPA (Wild Dunes Resort): My husband and I received the BEST massages that we have ever had! Eric and Cameron are AMAZING! They are very skilled, attentive and considerate therapists. I booked the massages at same time that I made accommodation reservations (all online). There was no wait and we were whisked back immediately upon arrival to the spa. The treatment rooms are clean and very comfortable. These massages were exactly what we needed to compliment our relaxing, mini-vacay!

Typically a great stay but it seems like things have changed over the past year here. Staff seems very occupied with other things then the guests. Two night in a row my daughters went home crying after being disappointed that the out door movies scheduled were cancelled at the last moment. Not sure if we will be coming back after this experience. Beech is starting to seriously erode as it did several years ago making it unusable during high tide. Hope they can turn this around...
