Had a wonderful massage, very relaxing. However the next day went for a facial, and ended up not recieving service.... After waiting over 40 mins after scheduled appointment time, I left and went back to room... I had dinner plans!!!!!!! They never came in to tell me they were running late or anything. Never called room to find out what happened.

Treated like queens from the moment you walk in the door. Very clean and well equipped...locker room with locking lockers, lounge area to gather and wait for your treatment, stocked with snacks, water, and tea. Had a signature facial and massage and didn't want to leave!

Let me start by saying that I am a lifetime ambassador/ platinum member with SPG and this hotel doesn’t honor its loyalty to its members. I have been coming here for 10 years and year after year we have to pull teeth to get a decent room for our family. The staff here is fantastic, but the hotel management is a total failure for representing Sheraton and it’s members. Here is our lovely view for doing a 130 nights a year with Sheraton. This will be the last year I come to the Westin Hilton Head. The GM doesn’t even call back to its members to address the situation. Good thing I do t treat my loyal customers this way in my business.

Amazing salon and spa with a very welcoming and attentive staff. The therapists are well trained and even if your just in for a haircut it will be the best you've ever had. Highly recommend if your local or on vacation.

Attended a Weekend To Remember Conference back in February of 2012. Our room was immaculate, staff very courteous and friendly and the ocean view area was awesome. My husband enjoyed the view and walking on the beach everyday. Our plans are to return very soon.

Brought my 8yr old daughter for a kids mani/pedi. The staff was so friendly and made my kid feel like a VIP. The young lady who provided the service was sweet and engaging. Even going out of her way to touch one of the nails that had been worn away by the ocean water. Highly recommend.

Really enjoyed the botanical shampoo blow dry today! My hairdresser ( her name escapes me - I was there at 4:00 Jan 10th) she was from California and was wonderful my hair has extensions and it is exactly what I asked for and expected! Reception was lovely as well.

Just had a massage there. Came out with mixed feelings. I'm not an American. The front desk lady dint bother to give a smile and was very curt. When I was checking out there were 3 American ladies checking in and The front desk lady was all sweet n smiles to them. What do you say to that?!! The masseuse herself was good. But again.. I asked her to focus on my hips n thighs. Instead she was focusing on my neck and shoulders. So overall... blah... not sure I'll go back here if I ever stay in this resort again in the future.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights recently and were not impressed with having paid over 350/night without a view. We felt with that kind of money we could have stayed somewhere much nicer. Westin has so many hidden charges/night its crazy ($22 resort fee, $2 tourism fee, $4.80 occupancy tax, $12 room tax, $7.20 beach preservation fee and 8%tax)--see photo attached. We felt it would be good for families with kids as this was 95% of people there. The resort has 3 pools which are not very clean and beach access which was convenient but very expensive chairs and umbrellas to rent ($23/half day). Anything you order has a 26% service charge added automatically. The rooms are dated and food was very expensive and tasted horrible. We definitely will not be staying there again in the future.

Pros: 1. The rooms were cleaned almost every day, and they did a good enough job to keep the rooms bug-proof 2. Each room had a outside balcony (unless your on the bottom floor) 3. 2 heated pools and one HUGE beach connected to other hotels 4. Activity place (For children AND adults [biking, swimming, etc]) 5. Friendly Customer Service Cons: 1. The Maids didnt come often to your room or otherwise took a long time to get there 2. The big pool (the zigzag one) was never heated and was always cold 3. There was only four elevators for each floor, but 3 lead to the start of the floor and one led to the end of the floor, and if you were unlucky, you would get one smack dab in the middle 4. The Prices there were VERY EXPENSIVE (80$ for a hamburger and fry and salad) 5. The Hotel makes you feel like you have to go out to actually get good, cheap stuff (movies, fun events, etc). The Best Parts about this place: 1. Very Friendly Customer Service 2. You would be offered something (free breakfast) if something was wrong in your room 3. Big parking lot for cars 4. Lots of security, no robbers 5. Ballroom for main events

The spa is absolutely wonderful. The staff is so nice, warm and friendly. I've personally had at least one service from everyone that works there and they are all fantastic. Top notch and quality services and amenities. They give you free mimosa's when you receive a service. The women's locker room is great, it even has a sauna, steam room and whirlpool tub. Can't say enough about it.

First time visiting Hilton Head Island Spa Resort. Love the location, easy access to the beach and the pools were awesome. Food was a little pricey. The Staff was super friendly. The room were adequate for 4. We are definitely coming back. If you're considering this as your next vacation getaway, you must visit Savannah, GA just 45 min. away and visit Mrs. Wilkes and the Crystal Beer Parlor.

After a rough week of work, I was extremely excited to have my spa day with my girls.. My massage felt more like a body rub as opposed to a massage.. when I moved over to the front side, she lifted my bed so that I was sitting up .. I thought it quite to get a massage sitting up so I informed her to lay me back down.. completely uncomfortable.. I almost felt exposed bc she was rubbing my body and felt she was touching my private area even though she want... Thera t that she was close made it even more uncomfortable.. Rather then feeling relaxed I was more stressed and really wanted the massage (or body rub) to be over with.. By far the worst signature massage I have ever received.. she must have been a novice. I would not recommend the spa here.. My other friends that joined us also felt the same way and didn’t enjoy their experience either..

We just returned from our spring trip where we had some great and not so great experiences. Under the not so great was the experience at the spa at the Weston on Hilton Head. The first thing that caught my attention was how rundown and filthy the place is. If you take a look at the chairs that the girls sit in to do the pedicures you will notice how dirty they are. The person doing my pedicure had a filthy and ripped smock and attacked my fit like a ninja warrior. The facial for both my husband and I was the worst. We compared notes and had the same experience- very bad. It was obvious that the woman didn’t care for her job as she complained about the tourists that come to the island. I never had so much stuff piled on my face without removing it before the next layer- just awful. With so many choices on the island, you may want to stay away from this one.

Three words" never ever again!" 2 elevators for like 500 rooms. It's a crazy far walk to the lobby. The rooms look nice but the hotel is old and in dire need of a remodel. Guest service was horrible. This was my ocean view with a dumpster. The restaurant at the pool area tacks on a 15% gratuity which is fine for a party of six but not for one person. Oh and by the way I tip 20% when they deserve it. So because of the gratuity fee you lost an extra 5%!The holiday inn down the street is 10 times better, it doesn't look quite as nice but the amenities, guest service and price are much better. I really wanted to like this Westin like others I have stayed at in the past, but this one takes the cake! Save your money and go somewhere else!

We checked in with Joan and she was very nice and knowledgeable about the hotel and area. We chose the King Room with balcony and beach view. We stayed on the 3rd floor. The hallways and elevators could use some updating and paint touch ups for the price. They do have alot of amenities and pools and dinning options so you dont have to leave the resort. Overall, the view is amazing from our room and the bed is amazing but as far as appearance, the hotel doesnt have that WOW factor I was hoping for. It is very clean and quite so i take that as a plus since we are here 4 nights.
