I've NEVER wrote a bad review but Ive been cancelled on 3 times in less than SIX MONTHS with less than 24 hour notice. When once my husband had to cancel for first time ever after years of membership with 23 hours notice and we still got charged. Details below: I bought into massage envy a few years ago with the selling point of members being able to make last minute massages with the last hour of the day being for members only. Since then it's impossible to get massages but that is the 'smallest' of my complaints... In the past 6 months I have had three massages cancelled on me... Three! All from the same massage therapist, Nicole. Now you may say why do you keep booking with her. Well they only have 2 prenatal therapists. The other one I've had (Susan who is great) but she is always booked up. The first time I was sad because I already paid for a babysitter. But they said they could fit me in for a 90 minute facial. Problem #2- I was in and out of the facial in 70 minutes! Don't put me in with someone if they don't want to be there. Ok great you only take 1 session instead of 1.5 but the problem is I was already cancelled on and your solution was someone who rushed through and didn't want to be there. Then a few months later I get a voicemail at night that my morning massage is cancelled. Second time now with less than 24 hour notice. Solution ? Free enhancement and no payment for two months. Great but still no massage (which is my ultimate goal of making an appointment.... Crazy I know

Best place for a massage, as they have so many therapists you can just cycle through until you find the one for you. Pricing is reasonable as well if you are a "member".

Bought my fiance a gift card. She went and said the massage was relaxing...but at the end before she left she said they kept trying to get her to sign up for a membership. After many times of her saying she wasnt interested they kept pitching her different ways to become a member even though she told them she had no interest. When I asked my fiance how her massage was she said after all the attempts from them trying to sell her stuff all the relaxation from her massage quickly disappeared. I feel like it was a waste of a gift and a waste of my fiances time. I do not recommend and i will be calling them to express my disappointment.

The Therapists have always been great but I am a member and my credit card expired mid term. I still had 1 More massage paid in full on my account…..I got my massage, was cutting it close for an appointment right after and on my way out said I should be all set as I already tipped the girl in cash! WAIT YOUR ACCOUNT IS SUSPENDED BECAUSE YOUR CC EXPIRED! Yes but I still have a paid in full massage on my account and will catch up with you next time as I'm running late for an appointment. NO….YOU'LL HAVE TO PAY FULL NONMEMBER PRICE OF LIKE $100.00 IF YOU DON'T GIVE US YOUR CC INFO. It was embarrassing and I was late…. I will let my membership lapse once expired because of the rude and inconsiderate behavior by Andrea. Not happy with this corporate conglomerate…..going back to private therapists where I'm treated like a person not an account.

I occasionally get massages and facials here. I used to have the yearly membership but it was a bit of a commitment every month. The $65 a month fee it's great if you take full advantage of the services. I now stop in here and there & although its a bit more $ without the membership in my case it works a lot better. Great staff and location especially if you're like me and enjoy some shopping and then a massage.

I am a member at Massage Envy in Cranston and have been for over a year now. I signed up because I am a machinist by trade and work the night shifts 11pm - 7am 5 nights a week. I have a stressful work schedule and once a month I go for a massage to relieve all of that stress. The massages are usually incredible. Terrence gives the best massages although he isn't always in this location. Ask for him if he's available for the best work. I also go for facials so I don't look like I'm dead tired all the time and it's very good for you. The facials here are excellent. Great aestheticians who work with you for what is best for your needs and your skin. I love all of the people who I've gotten facials from. The place is quite relaxing with great music and massage chairs in the waiting room. They offer aroma therapy for massages which is always awesome. For the most part I really enjoy my membership since it saves me a lot per massage and facial. However, the one thing that is a bit off putting is their need to upsell their beauty products and other services. I am willing to pay quite a bit for getting rid of stress because I have the funds but the products are expensive and they offer after every service. Still, I enjoy being a member here and the hot stone massages are the best. Definitely worth a try. Might not be for everyone with all the upselling but overall a great place.

The service is ok but try to terminate the contract... haha good luck with that and after all they charch you for another month that you can't even use ... so they are a head either way.. never go back there again.

I just had the same experience as the gentlemen':s review below. My wife gave me a gift card. The next thing I knew I was asked for my credit card and license. Why I had a gift card??? Totally undid any therapeutic benefit of the massage I just got!! I said I have a gift card so why do you need an credit card. Then came the contract that they said I should sign. Why? I have a gift card. I probably will not go back.

The overall environment isn't very soothing like other spas. You wait in a room which has massage chairs before your actual massage but it's not very relaxing. The massage itself was great!

Massage envy in Cranston has a great staff! And you cant beat having a membership. Especially if you do alot of physical labor. This would be the place for you! The one thing that bugs me is the terms for the membership. They make it sort of a process to cancel the membership. They also make you sign up for a year and you can't cancel unless you pretty much pay your year off... So when new bills come up, a membership there could be an issue. It's a love hate relationship with the membership for me because I love the low priced massage but I hate being committed to an annual bill with little ability to opt out.

I received gift cards for my birthday over $200 to use for service at this place, the sales person was very pushy and i felt pressure to purchase a membership with my gift cards, i did mentioned to her many times that i did't want to commit to a membership because of my busy schedule, but insisted and convinced me, unfortunately i missed the time line of the membership and called to make app for services , I did't realized that the membership expired less than week and they did't honor me the any services.

Finally choose to book a massage and decided to give this place a try dispite the reviews. Well I'm sorry to say I should have listened.....an hour before my appointment and the therapist had to go to the hospital. I was told if I cancel I would be charged full price but what if they cancel???? I had a day planned around thos massage and it was ruined.
