My wife and I have been going here for massages for about 6 months. We've had one big scheduling snaffoo, but they went above and beyond to make it up to us. Like any other spa, the quality of the experience depends on the practitioner you get that day. I've had three massage therapists and I'd say the average quality of experience is well above that of other spas I've been to. Great atmosphere!

Amazing service from start to finish. My sisters birthday was on Sunday and I appreciate that they have appointments that day. When you first arrive you're greated at reception and then taken to a waiting area and offered water or tea. Then your massage therapist comes out and takes you to your beautiful room. From aromatherapy to hot towels and scented oils, the entire experience was amazing. My massage was done by Sande and she was fantastic and so nice and thoughtful and my sister did not stop raving about her massage from Barbara the entire day. Thank you for making my sister's birthday and her first full body massage so great! We will definitely be back for a longer visit next time!

I am rough on my hands and manicures rarely last longer than 48 hours with me. Mine lasted much longer than that, I will definitely be back.

My therapist, Shannon, is amazing! She allows me the freedom of silence OR conversation during my massages with her. She is very attentive to my needs and is always quick to ask if the pressure she is using is too much, if I jump or twitch during a movement. She is always bubbly and pleasant to be around. At the end of my massage, she offers stretches that will help with my problem spots, which is really helpful for me! I absolutely recommend The Pear Day Spa to anyone and everyone I talk to.

Absolutely, a wonderful experience. I'm going to get an appointment for my boyfriend to go there as well! The ambiance, the people, the services provided - all fantastic. I love the eyelash tinting (Tammy did a great job), and my massage by Kelsey was very relaxing. The gal at the front desk (I can't remember her name, but it was original and beautiful) was very friendly and warm. In short, everybody was great! Thank you all, I can't wait to make another appointment! *Update: Still 5 stars. I got an excellent deep tissue massage from Julie, who was intuitive and awesome. **Update** 8/29. After saying they wanted to talk, the Pearl Day Spa has yet to contact me. So disappointed in the customer service! After spending a few days leaving a message and trying to get a hold of someone, I was finally able to book an appointment. I requested a deep tissue massage. The first disappointment was that the massage therapist wore gloves. I understand the need to protect yourself if you have a cut/or other skin issue, but I think that being massaged with plastic gloves does not add in any way to an experience. I would much rather have rescheduled my appointment than have that happen. At the beginning of the appointment I asked for the therapist to use more pressure. On some occasions, she was able to use a little more pressure, but it was not consistent. She also resorted to using her elbows a lot, especially on my calves. Using an elbow and using a hand on a calf are very different experiences. And I’ve had plenty of massages in my life, and this one seemed to be done by someone who did not have a lot of experience or a lot of strength. And I feel like if you have someone who doesn’t possess a lot of strength they shouldn’t be booked for deep tissue massage. I visited on Wednesday, August 7th at 6pm.

As a massage therapist myself, I find it is essential to receive massage on a regular basis. My husband surprised me last week with a couples massage at The Pearl, where I work! Jamal and Kelsey were both professional and addressed all of our concerns. I was very comfortable and relaxed.. I didn't feel the need to chat much that day and the room stayed peaceful and quiet. Days later my shoulders are feeling less tense. Jamal is an experienced LMT and has a great flow and high level of professionalism. My husband says Kelsey was top notch and he loved all the hot towels and perfect pressure. The peppermint tea in the waiting area was great too! We enjoyed our whole experience.

Usually, I have a pinching, almost popping pain in my lower back... After my massage, even the next day, that pain is unnoticeable. I called to schedule an appointment, the lady said she would call me back to make sure the the day would work. She never called me back. I called back a couple days later. I asked for a couples spa day. They happily told me the day would work and I would enjoy the day with my husband. UNFORTUNATELY when we arrived they only scheduled the day for me, had no clue it was for a couple. They scrambled around for 30 min to get a room ready. Massage was good but didn't listen to me when she asked what I wanted worked on and just did her own thing. The facial was nice EXCEPT the lady talked the entire time so no it was not relaxing and she kept talking about how this place wasn't great and how she's opening her own place (NOTE: DON'T TALK BAD ABOUT THE PLACE YOU WORK IN). When going into the pedicure/manicure session we were then told one person would be doing both of us. I was not going to sit for additional time doing nothing. At this point I left and did not get my nails done. Husband stayed. I was so disappointed I will never in my life return. The amount of money you spend isnt worth it here. On top of all of it! (NOTE: DON'T SERVE FOOD TO SOMEONE WHILE GIVING THEM A PEDICURE) I think it is absolutely disgusting. I returned later to pick up my husband, asked to speak to a manager. The desk clerk said if you give me your number I will give it to my manager. It's been a month or more so I don't expect a call anytime soon. And was told he only comes in once a week. On another note: They never had us fill out a waiver and I mentioned that I had forgotten to from an email they sent us. But never filled one out. They didn't seam to care. (I was very verbal during my entire experience)

Both times I have been to the pearl I have gotten some of the best massages I've ever had. But also both times there were some problems with the music, the first time it eventually started working but the last time it never did and I was in the River room so without music I could hear everything that was happening with everyone walking on the stairs or using the restroom, so I wasn't able to relax fully. The last therapist I had also wanted to talk to me a lot during my visit whiles he was massaging me, I know some people like to talk during their massage but I am not one of them. Overall a really great experience though.

Feeling melted and pampered after an all day stay at the spa. Steam and herbal wrap, bliss massage, mani, pedi and facial, along with a complimentary lunch. Everyone was friendly, professional and knew their jobs and products well. The only down side is parking as they only have 3 spots and everything else is metered street parking.

I received an excellent massage for an hour long relaxation session. However, I told them beforehand that I had a gift certificate for the session and that I wasn't sure if it ever expired. The lady told me that none of the certificates ever expire and not to worry, so I proceeded with the massage. When I returned to show them my certificate and pay for the remainder, the next lady told me it had expired and that I had to pay the full amount. I will never pay for a gift certificate from them again and will not be returning since they gave me mixed messages and did not honor what they had originally told me.

I have yet to experience this amazing spa because today marks the second time my appointment has been cancelled. I understand life happens, however they need to find a new receptionist. He re scheduled my for after 5pm today. Who gets a massage that late? I'm very frustrated. The guy on the phone was completely unaplogetitc and acted like he was doing ME a favor by allowing me to come in tonight vs this afternoon! I mentioned that I took a personal day from work to enjoy my massage and he didn't seem to care AT ALL! He was totally rude and his customer service skills are terrible. An apology and validation to frustrated clients goes a very long way.

From the moment I arrived it was peace and relaxation. Sipped a cup of tea before my massage. Barb was easy to talk to and adjusted treatment as I requested. She explained as she went what she was doing and why. Put me completely at ease. After my massage I sat in the "fireside" room and just let it all ease out. Was nice to not have to rush anywhere.

I threw out my back Saturday morning (two-days before a long drive to SoCal, and only 5 days before visiting Disneyland). I called the spa & was able to get a same-day appt. with Jonathan. He was amazing, and spent the full hour working to release the tension in my lower back. By the time I went to bed my pain was gone, and only mild tightness returned the next morning. I'm certain that Jonathan's thorough knowledge & skilled hands were the catalyst to a quick recovery. My only regret is that he didn't have a 2-hr time slot available.

Heather greeted me in a very welcoming manner when I arrived. She confirmed my appointment and my gift certificate without issue. She offered me to complete the necessary paperwork ( to update your files) in your pleasant waiting area. Your waiting area was relaxing in nature, I appreciated the water and music. Angel is an excellent masseuse ...she is the ultimate professional... and she concentrated on areas that I needed from our pre-massage interview... I've been to this spa on many occasions from a brow wax to massage. My latest visit was an emergency. I slept wrong and woke up in such pain. Luckily I was able to get in for a massage. I was in so much pain I wasn't convinced a massage would help. Happily it did! I felt amazing afterward and the pain did not come back. I wish I could remember the young mans name. Got a gift card for two Swedish massages here. I've been calling for the last three weeks to schedule and no one at the front desk ever picks up the phone. Additionally, I had to make two separate accounts on two different websites just to try and schedule? There's also no section where I can add my boyfriend's information; apparently he HAS to be a family member or a spouse. The scheduling process online is annoying and I couldn't figure out how to schedule TWO massages. OH! "Swedish massage" was not even an option on the online list of massages, despite it being an option in their physical pamphlet. I also completely opened my availability to every day and any time, and it was supposedly completely booked. Would've been great if it could have known that with a 2 minute phone call rather than a 30 minute goose chase. Just answer the damn phone please.

I have gone to Pearl Day Spa for facials, waxing, and massage and each practitioner I have seen has been skilled and friendly. The spa itself is gorgeous down to every detail. I love the music, the chairs in the waiting room, the decor--all of it is sumptuous and calming. Every detail is lovingly attended to so that your experience is relaxing and pleasant. A good example is that I am never cold like I have been in other spas where they ask you to disrobe and then leave you shivering on the table under a sheet! Most important, it is obvious to me that the practitioners all take their work very seriously. They pursue continuing education opportunities and some aestheticians have even developed their own line of organic skin care products! Plus, The Pearl has great monthly specials! Gift certificates to The Pearl are my favorite splurge gift for that landmark birthday. Highly recommended.

I had a spa pedicure and facial. I don't remember anything spectacular about the pedicure. It was great, but about average to other spa pedicure places. And the price range seemed higher at about $70. The facial was like nothing I've experienced before though. I was put in a private, calm, quaint room with mellow music. Where I laid on a bed with a heat pad. The technician was very informative and would discuss what products she was using. The facials are easily $100, they make the perfect gift or treat yourself day. I would recommend the Pearl Day Spa.

I had a negative experience with 3 of the 4 spa services I received in my spa package. The mani/pedi was sub-par, rushed and a practitioner who was unprofessional in many ways. The pedi looks great, but my gel polish has already chipped (2 days later). The discount offered on mani/pedi's was not extended to me, despite being told when I booked it would (it was their special discount of the month). The facial was done by a practitioner who did not stop talking the entire time, even though I stated at the beginning I wanted to relax quietly for this experience. I ended up literally not responding to her during the facial, but yet, she kept talking. The facial itself was not enjoyable, one thing after another was lathered on my face and then swiftly removed. My face was left raw, red, and broken out like crazy. The saving grace was my massage, excellent! The clincher for giving a 2 star review is that when I contacted the business with my unhappy experience, I received no call or message back. They seemingly do not care to address clients concerns and would rather not respond. They even emailed me to leave them a "positive" review on social media, AFTER I emailed them to express my displeasure.

I do not recommend getting your hair done at this spa. The woman they have working there, Rita, was my hairdresser for 2 years. She called to cancel my appointment 2 days before our usual time, and said she was really, really sick and was closing her business. I was very upset and felt so badly for her until I found out she had lied. She is still there, still working. I don't trust her &don't recommend seeing 'Rita' at the Pearl for anything!

I showed up for an appointment and waited 20 minutes (after my appointment time ). I then had to leave because I had an appointment to get to and the treatment would have overlapped. I said I was leaving at the front desk and the receptionist couldn't seem to care less. Thank you for wasting her about 50 minutes of my time (with walking there and back home).

Can't seem to make an appointment, nobody answers the phone. Been trying for several days. I have no interest in using on online scheduler when making a first visit to a spa. Ironically, was looking at The Pearl because I was given a gift card to them by someone who gave up trying to make an appointment for herself. Thinking of passing the gift card on to someone else, not worth the trouble.

I got a gift card from my coworker for a massage because I was experiencing extreme pain from sciatica. I made an appointment and went in after work and it was amazing! While the nerve pain is still there all the tension in my leg and lower back is gone. My pain level decreased by at least half of what it was! Lilly was wonderful and if I get a chance to come back I will definitely be making an appointment with her again.

I left in more pain than when I came in. I had a previous lower back injury in addition to a bad knot in my upper back. I told Jamal this and he only addressed one of those issues. I also requested deep tissue massage and didn't feel that this was adequately done. I'm sure if you're looking for a relaxing spa day this is the place for you, but if you're after serious loosening of knotted muscles don't bother.

After I submitted the insurance form, they said it should only take a week to process and it’s been over two weeks and I still haven’t heard ANYTHING. when I called to check on it, they said they were ‘too busy’ to help me. I called for a last minute eyebrow wax, they had a opening for me that evening with Allie. The girl that did my eyebrows was amazing! I have had my eyebrows waxed many times but she was the best. She consulted me on what I wanted for my brows, I just wanted them cleaned up (I like the shape and thickness of my brows) and she showed me what she was going to do before she did it. That meant a lot to me as I have had many bad experiences before. She did them perfectly! The other part I was really surprised about is how she made the waxing pretty painless, like normally my eyes water and my skin gets really red, I didn't experience any of that with Allie. I would recommend her to anyone who asks!

I truly enjoyed my birthday present to myself today! I initially booked on the app but noticed on the website they have package deals, called the front desk and rescheduled for a Rapture package no problem! I arrived and was welcomed by Ian at the front who had me pick my sandwich from the menu for lunch. A short wait in the cozy waiting area and Bill escorted me to my massage, which was blissful! Afterwards I went to see Bryer for a facial, she was very warm and friendly and truly wanted me to feel relaxed. After that I went into my Mani/Pedi session with Beth who was very fun to chat with! Now, for my only change up, that previously mentioned lunch is waiting for you in the nail salon and you get to eat it while your feet are being done. I think that a nice 15-20 min break while you eat in the garden or a tea room would be more appropriate rather than eating while my toe nails are cut. Other than that, I loved the atmosphere, I like the app (add those packages though) and I enjoyed all the technicians. Will definitely be back!

I loved my cleansing facial. Briar was lovely and responded to all my concerns. The neck massage was perfect. The products are of the highest quality. I will make seasonal appointments for this facial.....4 times a year is a must. Pear Spa is a little gem. We are so lucky to have it nearby. I am visiting Eugene for only a few weeks and was lucky enough to get a massage appointment with Sara. She was excellent, her massage style was perfect for loosening up my chronic knot buildup and her knowledge about the body's musculature was apparent throughout the session. I would certainly go back to Sara again and would also recommend her highly!

My wife went to be a part of a bachelorette party at The Pearl Day Spa the other day for a spa day, and although the spa staff gave fine service to others in the party, they did not respect the fact that my wife had specifically requested a FEMALE masseuse. She has had trauma in the past and specifically requested a female because it is too uncomfortable to be massaged by a man. Well, when the group of girls got to the spa, it turns out that all the masseurs for each person in the group had gotten changed. Specifically they changed my wife's masseur to a man and didn't have any respect for her preference for a female. One of her friends volunteered to go with the man who had called her, so that was fine. The man who had called my wife back seemed put off by her not wanting to go back with him, but she shouldn't have to explain her trauma to anyone. As my wife continued to wait for her turn and got more anxious, both female and male masseurs called on others in the party without regard to my wife's preference. The bride-to-be in the party offered to cancel my wife's appointment and would pay any cancelation fees if necessary (which there shouldn't be any in the case since The Pearl made the changes). The Pearl told my wife she could wait another two hours to possibly get a massage by a female masseur, but when my wife said that that wouldn't work for her schedule and timing for the day, they merely offered an appointment which would still have to be paid for in full to have a facial the next day. Mind you, this appointment was already an hour and a half away from home. This is poor customer service, and amazes me that a spa place would not have consideration or understanding for preferences made by people, especially in light of the trauma that happens in our world. This is why this review is one star.

I have been seeing Lily for massage for the past few months due to sciatic nerve pain. Lily really listened to what my concerns were, and addresses them each time she see's me. I've had massages before, but Lily is by far the best masseuse I've had. I'm also very self conscious because of my weight and always feel comfortable during my entire visit.
