The spa itself is lovely. Well lit, very clean and aesthetically pleasing. I booked a facial and extraction with Anna. She was very kind, gentle and efficient through the whole experience. Which put me at ease because I tend to be a bit anxious and introverted. She also offered helpful insight and information on my skincare regimen, as well as recommended a product (that I can’t wait to try) to help me address my current skin concerns. I cannot stop looking at my face, the difference (especially with blackheads deep in my pores) in just one visit is incredible! I rebooked with her a month from now so I can maintain the amazing work she did on my skin today. I definitely won’t be going anywhere else for any skin service or product.

Reliable, consistent, friendly, and professional. Having someone who really knows what they are doing in nethers waxing is important. Not only is the wax itself of the highest quality I have experienced, the service is done quickly and efficiently. A bikini wax is not a service I wish to linger over. I have been to several Portland area salons for waxing, and can confidently say that Helene is among the best, if not the outright #1. And keep in mind that because waxing appointments are offered in shorter time windows because of the efficiency, they are more affordable than those offered in other salons.

Thanks to Helene and Phaysone's gentle, scientific approach, I don't wear foundation anymore. They have a great selection of affordable French skincare products, take the time to get to know your AM/PM regimen and customize the products they use during your service, always happy to give samples of products that will work for you. Helene has a chemist background and uses products with simple, effective ingredients, the Face Reality line has totally transformed my skin without breaking the bank. I had consistent minor breakouts throughout my teens and early 20s, and after about 6 months of regular mandelic peels and extractions, my skin has truly never looked better.

I live on the coast and it's really hard to get quality beauty services. Decided to try this place for a brow shape/wax last weekend. I expected more shaping expertise, as the website describes. The girl I had was very sweet, but she started by asking my how I wanted my brows done- usually when I get them shaped, I trust the expert to know how to do this, as I really have no clue. She did a decent job waxing, but tried to leave stray hairs in areas where it really didn't make sense, like under the tail where really I don't have hair that fills in and was not at all in line with the shape. I also got quite a few breakouts above my brows where she waxed. I think she was inexperienced at brow shaping and I appreciate her not going to town taking hair off and asking me, but I was hoping for more expertise in knowing how to shape brows

I've been coming to Helene for facials at Be Smooth for a couple of years. Her care is unparalleled- having been a chemist in France, she is able to look at a list of ingredients on my skin care products and tell me which are- and which aren't- serving my extremely dry skin (and she always explains why). She is full of knowledge, and she obviously loves sharing it. She's also recommended several low-cost products for me, and more importantly- never, ever tried to sell me anything. That said, I do buy a cream for her that I love, and it is totally worth it. Besides being such a treat, the whole experience feels educational, and I go away knowing I'm taking care of my skin. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I booked a last minute appointment online for eyebrow threading with Phaysone. This was my first time getting my eyebrows threaded and I have to say, they look the BEST they ever have. Phaysone did an incredible job. It wasn't painful and the shape is beautiful. I definitely will not be getting them done any other way on the future.
