I absolutely love getting my nails done at Urbane! I have been coming to Urbane for upwards of a year now and have enjoyed each one of my visits. My go tos are Tin for my pedicures and Helen for my dip manicures; they are both amazing at what they do on top of being friendly and welcoming. They always make sure I’m absolutely happy with the results and if not, they have had no problem fixing whatever I’m not happy with. I will say, they can get super busy so coming as a walk in isn’t the fastest experience but calling ahead and scheduling an appointment resolves that!

The nail salon is beautiful and very clean. I love the staff and the treatment is top notch. When you walk in, you are greeted warmly, asked what treatment you’d like and given a drink and candy. I’ve been coming here for about a year now. Ivy is new to this salon but she is fantastic! I am very picky about my nails. She’s wonderful! She was very meticulous and my nails look perfect! I had a gel manicure and gel pedicure done today.

It was nice inside and we didn't have a long wait. We got the urbane pedicures. Our girls were in a hurry. There were three of us and two of us still had dry skin that could have been removed and I have a toe nail that wasn't filed well and is about to tear off. When they were finished, they just left. Didn't tell us anything. After about 15 minutes we paid and left. Their prices are a little higher than the other nail places in the area. The free wine isn't enough to make me want to go back.

If I could give this place zero starts I would. I wish I could upload a picture of how these people scrubbed my feet so hard they where RAW! I was in so much pain when I left I had to go to the hospital. Then on top of all that I paid almost 100 dollars for a pedi and a full set (gel polish) just to have my nails break while I was cooking dinner. And the polish on my toes to be chipping. I paid that much money so there is NO REASON why my nails should be breaking a day after getting them done. I won't ever step foot in this place again. And I pray I don't have a infection on my feet!

Service is unbelievably bad. Rude and overbook so you wait for a long time. I dropped over $400 for my mom and myself, and had a dip nail chip the next day. Went back and asked them to file it so it matched the other nails, told me they didn't have time. It wouldve taken literally 5 mins and it was 4p on a Tuesday... they didn't close for another 3 hours....

I wish I could say this place was better. Went for a pedicure once, waited in the chair for an hour. They did give me 10% off, but the wait was terrible. The second time I went for a fill, the lady was super fast and one of my nails broke off in 2 days which is quite rare for me. I work in an office and am not rough with my hands. When I went back, it took an hour to get a single nail fixed. The guy fixing it was kind of rude. I also drove from Moore, so quite irritated a nail broke after 2 days.

This was my first time and I originally came in as a walk-in asking for 2 pedicures and 1 acrylic full set. I really expected more especially from all the “high praise” I hear about this place. I mean I understand upselling but after I decline to get gel polish they seem to get an attitude. I got Tony for my pedicure in which he was very rushed and sloppy. My water was so hot I had to immediately pull my feet right back out. He never asked about my water temperature. I had came in originally with red polish on my toes in which he FAILED to completely remove before polishing my toes with another color. He was also very aggressive with the cuticle clippers on my toes. I guess because I asked for the basic pedicure he felt he wasnt going to treat me as good as other clients. My husband had came with my To also, get a pedicure and they seem to totally disregard him in which he never received service. I have a lot more negative things to say but ima leave it at WORST PLACE EVER as far as customer service and treatment. However, my toes are cute but only because I choose a nice color. Also after the way I was handle and treated during my pedicure I decline to proceed with a full set and did not tip. Smh. Shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. I’m normally a more than generous tipper.

Very bad experience today. We went in, saw that it was busy but we were told it would be a 5 to 10 minute wait. 75 (!!!) minutes later we were finally helped! Then it all felt very rushed like they were trying to get rid of us. We were promised a discount because of the wait - $6 off a total of $50. We will never go there again and would advise others to go somewhere where they'll be treated as more than a number.

My nail tech did ok and it would have been better if he would have follow up to see if my nails were dry. As I struggle to get the flip flops on so I would not mess up my toe nails, he went ghost on me. But another nail tech saw me and came over to help. 5 stars to him and boo to my nail tech!!!!!! Boo!

Really enjoyed this place. I've never been one to pamper myself with pedicures, manicures, etc. But I took my girlfriend here for the first time, and man. That place was poppin' even right before they were closing. Its HUGE and they have an awesome selection of different grooming options but can get a little pricey depending on what you want. They definately take their time and dont try to rush you out even though they are busy so its worth the price! We chose a middle priced pedicure and we were both worked on at the same time while offered Free soda, wine, beer and even frozen margaritas! We were there for about an hour and 15 min give or take, and got seated immediately. It was definitely worth recommending. Will be back for sure.

RACIST! RACIST!!! RACIST!!! Please read this warning. I have never been so disrespected in my life!!! If you are homosexual or of color stay away! Awful experience. I came for a full set. The first problem was that my nail tech cut three of my fingers to the point where I was bleeding from my cuticles. The next problem is that she was not only rude but a liar. When I told her she had cut me she literally just said “no” but I could clearly see blood coming out of my finger. Then THREE days later, literally HALF of my nails snapped in half. (I added a photo for visuals, it’s the gold nails that are mostly broken) I do not work a strenuous a job and they broke doing everyday activities such as putting on lotion, opening my car door or making lunch. When I came back in to have them fix THEIR mistake an employee told me that it was MY fault that my acrylics broke after three days. He then told me I needed to wait to get them fixed because the original nail stylist was busy. When I asked for a different one, because her work was obviously sloppy, he told me it had to be her because it “wasn’t anyone else’s problem.” They also refused me a refund. After two hours of going back and forward over how my nails were going to get fixed I was handed off to another women and she treated me as if I was beneath her. She threw my hands after finishing with one hand, she told me to shut up when asking her a question and she began to destroy my nail bed! I literally walked out due to such bad service, my nails were incomplete and I did not receive a refund. I would give negative stars if I could. Do not spend your money here

The first time going is also my LAST TIME GOING! You would think if you spend $105 your service would be great? Not the case! Tiffany done my nails Friday July 13th I had to have them redone while in Austin, TX over the weekend because 3 nails on one hand BROKE the next day!!! Kristin who done my daughter's nails put the nails on CROOKED! I don't know maybe they're inhaling too much acrylic or sipping the wine they serve to the customers but your service is less than subpar!!! Learn to LISTEN & HEAR YOUR CUSTOMERS I wanted my nails cut down and shaped differently NEVER once did she acknowledge what I wanted. If you want to drink before hitting Happy Hour or the upscale decor this is the place but if you want QUALITY WORK I SUGGEST YOU KEEP LOOKING!

He did such a great job and was very detailed and made sure my nails were perfect and I was happy. Had an appointment for a dip manicure and pedicure (Penn), lady(Emma) asked if I wanted my toe nails trimmed, I told her just a little and made it clear that I wanted them square, both big toes were not cut even at all, they were cut with a huge slant, the lowest side was cut so low that it could not be fixed, guy came over after she called him over and i expressed my frustration, he translated to her, she tried to fix and now both look like my nails are majorly short. He new I was about to leave and then said I will get the best person to do your nails.Got my dip, lady was holding short talk, went to pay which they didn't discount, the guy was at the the register that translated earlier, I told them my toes needed to be discounted, I brought the issue up again and he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about, I almost lost it, the girl that did my dip, I guess the mgr from what he said, kept coming to look at my toes but now she doesn't speak english?? He said the most they could do was $5. WILL NOT BE GOING BACK, NOT EVEN THE NW EXP location, how hard is it for a business, with the overall stars it has, to do the right thing? Too bad there isn't an option for no stars at all.

Is it normal for the nail techs to not pay any attention or care about what they are doing? I am paying over $100 for my friend and I and he is barely doing anything and a ting rushed. My "massage" was him VERY LIGHTLY rubbing in the lotion/scrub....if I can even call it that. Super disappointed.

The girl did a good job on my nails. Gave me a nice design and did quality work. BUT she was very pushy to start about me with getting gel pedicure or a higher priced pedicure. I told her numerous times that I just wanted my usual basic pedicure. Ask me once, that's fine but she kept trying to push it on me. I dont like that. And then during the pedicure she took that cheese grater thing when she was done with my feet and was like see...you needed higher price one. No I didn't. I was weeks past due for one. I felt like she embarrassed me to the people next to me by leaving it up there with skin all over it. I have never been treated this way before by their employees.

Know Better, Do Better

Not going back! I have been going to urbane nails for about a year now. They recently opened up a new location and it seems like they have a lot of new people at this location as a result of it. I’ve been to this location more than a dozen times, They used to be amazing but the last few times have not been as good. The dip is just kind of thicker and not as even and they just don’t shape the nails as good as they have in the past but like I said I’m a committed customer so I just decided to stick with them hoping the next time would be better. But, this last time my toe polish chipped only after a 3 days of getting them done. So I went in to see if they could fix that toe for me. The guy was very rude to me and questioned if I had really been there three days prior. He ended up fixing it for me but was very rude acting like fixing it was a nusence, even though I said I would gladly pay to fix the one nail. Another thing I’ve noticed is that they definitely seem a little racist so if you are of color just don’t go! I’m mixed and many times I go with my mom or grandma who are white we never have a problem getting right in and they are very nice but when the last few times I’ve gone alone and it’s a completely different experience.

I was very disappointed in the service I received. My nails look terrible and my toes have already chipped. I didn't want to make a big deal about it, but I wish I did, because I did not have a good experience at all. I shouldn't have paid for the services I received. I am a licensed Cosmetologist and there was so many things I could point out that were unsanitary and things that could lead to transferring blood transmitted diseases to other customers. The service I received was by Ben and he was very quick to get my pedicure done. He had my pedicure done in 15 minutes and I had my daughter with me also. She is young so i get that It was hard to keep her occupied, but I felt like my child was not welcome in the salon and i know other salons that interact way better then this one. I am so disappointed and I wish i got my money back. I will never go back.

I had a horrible experience yesterday at Urbane Nails. I went in 35 mins before close, trying to decide to stay or not because it was almost closing time. But there were many people still there. So, I decided to stay. Loan, my nail assistant, seemed very rushed. She did the wrong dip color. Even after I noticed it was the wrong color she disagreed and said “it will fade once I wash.” I complained once they were finished and they did make her redo them. But the whole time, she was hurting me. Cutting all of my cuticles. I even told her & she didn’t seem to care. It’s now the next day, and my cuticles are sore & sting every time I wash them. I won’t be going back.

Horrible experience! I had a fungus immediately after going here for a manicure. When called to speak to someone I was only given a gift card for $35. I have literally lost my nail. It’s in the process of growing back but it is really hard to look at my nail now because it is not the same. Everyone I’ve encountered at Urbane is friendly, however my dip ALWAYS seems to chip a few days after getting it done. I had 6 nails chip within 3 days of getting them done. I was out of town on vacation and called as soon as I got back which was 8 days after getting them done, suggesting maybe the type of dip they used didn’t stay on very well. They said the best they could do was 15% off my next service. When I pushed back on that amount, they said a manager would call me and he never called. Very disappointed considering I’ve been going to the NW Expressway location since they’ve opened. In business, it’s important to make things right, especially with loyal customers. After that incident, I unfortunately won’t be going back.

Update: I've returned a few times since last review. The wait has somewhat improved, the wine is currently out of commission, but they have other non-alcoholic options. Friendly as usual. Rating has been improved to 4 stars. Service was okay. The wait time was deplorable. Free wine though. I reserve the right to re-do the review at a later date. Maybe when the wait isn't an hour.

Great salon but they use to offer specials to accomodate their pricing. I would spend $80 for a pedicure and fill. After the second time one of my nails turned green I decided it definitely wasn't for me. Once with dip and the other time was acrylic. There are other salons just as good that don't charge as much and I haven't ended up with a nail fungus.

Nail techs are not great at all. No one could do not even a basic design. Waited 30 mins after the pedicure just to get a design. Nail polish on my skin around the toenail. Rough patches still on my feet from my pedicure. Pedicure felt rushed and the water was cold. Had to find and put on my own flip flop. This stressed me out more than give me the relaxation I was looking for. Sad to say that the service here has been declining over the years. They used to be great. My last 2 visits have been everything but great. Best thing going here is the free alcohol.

I would of givin this place a 0 if it was a choice! I came in Sun. 2/3/19 wanted a full set/umbre. Waited a good 45 mins before we got started which was fine i wasnt in a hurry. The guy who did them i do not recall his name but at the time when we finished the set they looked nice! I was happy with the job at (THAT TIME... ) Needless to say from Sunday to Mon afternoon (the next day) 2 of my nails were already coming up from the bottoms! I was very upset due to the fact umbre nails are a little more than regular nails and i have NEVER experienced a issue of this matter so quickly from any nail salon. So i called and told them what happened tbey told me to come back and they wld fix them. Couldnt come back that day but i did 2 days later with 2 nails completely OFF and 6 MORE nails that was coming up from the bottom!!!! Completely frustrated about this, tbey did fix for free and gave me 10$ in my account. 5 hours pass after i have gotten thrm fixed and guess what..... A nail that is already coming up from the bottom AGAIN!!! i will go back to show them!!! Not to mention they made it seem as if i did something wrong, like if im rough on my hands or hit them on things at work. I told them (im the AGM of a hotel and my hands dont do much but type) WHAT A RUDE THING TO SAY WHEN ITS OBVIOUSLY YOU OR THE PRODUCT!!!! WILL NEVER GO BACK OR SUGGEST THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! I went with my mom and sister. None of us ended up with good nails. I asked for a full set acrylics and dip, so they said it was going to be $30. Then when I was seated waiting, the guy came and said it was going to be $40. Then when I asked for oval shaped nails the guy said it was going to be an extra $5 to get them in a shape that wasn’t square. The nails weren’t good and me and my mom had to get them redone. The girl who did my mom’s nails was definitely new, and didn’t have experience. The dip was really thick and they didn’t do a good job at making it even. My mom’s technician even confused the color she asked for( my mom asked for nude and they gave her pink). My sister’s 10 so her nails were only supposed to be $20 but they kept adding on until it got to $40 .They left residuo under our nails, I have a small cut on my thumb and my technician didn’t care , so I told him and he still didn’t care. I've been going to Urbane Nails & Spa for years. For the most part I get great service and a good mani/pedi. My only issue is I often have to wait. A 15 minute wait can end up being a 1/2 hour or more. The staff are all friendly and know me by name. That's something I appreciate.

The salon is very clean! They are professional but a little too standoffish for me. This was my third visit and probably my last. They rushed me through, cut four cuticles, one cuticle was even bleeding. Plus, they wouldn’t let me wait for my sister because they “might” get busy and not have the space. ☹️

The first time I came here they were fairly new and it was an amazing experience. I am currently 38 weeks pregnant and was wanting a last minute pampering before baby arrives. The nail technician (I don’t even know his name because the 2 men working were not wearing a name tag) the entire time he was doing my pedicure he was watching TV, which is totally fine if it’s when you’re using the scrub/rubbing in lotion but NOT when you’re clipping nails and cuticles! He made my cuticles bleed and then acted surprised that the acetone was burning me. I have pretty small toe nails, but he only painted 3/4 of all of them except the big toe and didn’t even attempt to paint the pinky toe nail. So I had to paint my own pinky toe nail (which is NOT easy at 38 weeks pregnant) extremely disappointing service.

He hit her and said whoooo.I told him I wanted the lavender thing and ignored me. Never got it. I hate it here and never coming again

The first time I went here, it was really great. This time, it was awful. During my pedicure, I was asked 3 times to upgrade to a more expensive pedi. "No thank you" one time should have been enough. While she was painting my toenails, she asked if I wanted a design. "No thank you" but she did it anyway. She said to trust her and that I would like it. When she was done with one toenail design, I told her I don't like it and to take it off. I must have offended her because from that point forward, she was very rude. She did my fingernails terribly and I asked her to fixed several of them. She said that she is very busy and if I just don't look at the spots without polish, "it'll be fine". No, I wanted it fixed. Then she told me my finger is crooked and that's why it doesn't have color over the whole nail. Regardless of my finger being crooked or not, my nail should not have unpolished spots. It am disappointed in the way I was treated, the intense pushiness to change what I want, and the attitude of I'm too busy for this.

This is a terrible place to go. I Initially went in for a change of gel polish, but the manager basically coerced me into getting a manicure and a pedicure. I knew that this was a marketing scheme, so I let it go. Linda was assigned to me, and she did my manicure. When I went to the register, I noticed that my thumb was clumpy, so I showed it to her, and she took me back to the table. Instead of fixing the whole nail, she simply scraped off the part that was clumpy and reapplied it. She was rushing because she had another client. She and the manager were obviously rushing so they could tend to the other lady. It looked disgusting and uneven (both the polish and the wya they filed the nail), but I let it go. Later that night, I saw that my nails had ridges and air bubbles, so I called and set an appointment for the following day. One of my nails was broken so she told me the only way I can fix it is to put an overlay. So she asked me to pick from regular or gel polish, both of which I have to pay for. She obviously didn’t know that I wouldn’t have to be charged for her mistake, but she didn’t bother to ask the manager. My nails look thick, and she didn’t bother to clean underneath them. Also, while my nails were drying, I saw one of the nail techs take a used glass, run it under water, and put it to dry. So they don’t wash their glasses. The lack of hygiene, manners, and respect is appalling to me. I will never come here again. Overpriced and definitely not worth the hype.

I usually have a decent enough experience at urbane and they're the closest to me so I've been a loyal customer for over a year. Not anymore. They had me soaking my feet for over an HOUR with no hope of being seen any time soon. 30 min into my feet soaking I asked the front desk guy if someone would be available soon and he told me yes that two people were almost done. So another 30 minutes went by and I told the front desk guy that I've been waiting a long time and someone needs to come help me or I'm leaving. He told me that he recommends that I come back tomorrow??? Ok if you're that busy I get it but tell me before I waste over an hour of my time and get my feet pruny as a freaking raisin for no reason. I won't be back.

Not very happy with the service. I went in to get a pedicure and either gel or dip on my nails. I wanted to look at the colors during my pedicure to decide. Diane asked me if I wanted to upgrade my pedicure and I said no. She then continued, saying “are you sure you don’t want the hot stones and hot towels?” I said again, no thank you. She took the book out of my hands when I was trying to read the other services offered and walked away. She came back with the dip powder colors. I looked at them and set them to the side, she asked what color I wanted. I told her I still wasn’t sure if I wanted gel or dip. She said “dip is better” so firmly, it was clear she wasn't bringing me the gel colors, so I picked a dip color. She told me they were out of it. I picked the book back up to look at the colors again and she left. She came back with the dip powder I had previously picked, which was just under half full, and told me if I wasn’t going to do anything extra, she should have enough to do my nails. Through the pedicure, she didn’t say anything to me. She went to go paint and asked me if I wanted the dip powder on my toes (what...?) and I said no. She said “it’s stronger and longer lasting. Are you sure?” And I said yes, I don’t want dip on my toes. She didn’t say anything else to me and hastily painted. When she was finished painting, she pointed behind her without looking and told me to go sit in a chair on the other side. I had to lean over the chair to grab my things, she shoved my shoes in my hand and told me to go sit down, again pointing without looking behind her. I went and sat down in a chair and waited. About 10 minutes, Diane came back and started on my nails. Still not speaking, she was constantly looking around the nail salon everytime the door opened and “mmm” ing everytime she looked back at my nails. She cut my finger a couple times, but continued on very quickly. She spent 10 minutes filing one hand and then less than two filing the other, I assume, because a large group came in that hadn’t been started on yet. She was yelling around to everyone and there was apparent conversation eluding to the fact she would be doing one of the groups nails. The other employees kept looking at her, then me, then my nails and telling the other client she would be with them soon. She put a top coat on my nails, squirted lotion on my arms and rubbed it in, then told me to wait for my nails to dry. She left, came back, told me my total and left again. About 5 minutes, she was standing at the front saying “ma’am? Ma’am?” And waiving a ticket at me. I assumed I was supposed to get up and go pay now, so I took my foam flip flops off, put on my own shoes and jacket, grabbed my purse and phone and was walking to the front while she stared between me and the group of people who only had one person not getting their pedicure yet. I paid, and she didn’t give me my card back until I had signed the card receipt and handed it back to her, even though I asked her for my card because I was holding my wallet open to put it away. She grabbed the receipt, looked at it, shoved my card in my hand and walked away. No thank you, no have a nice day. Nothing. Just left. I shouldn’t have gone, and knew I shouldn’t have gone, but thought I would try again and taught myself a lesson. Also, one star customer service but two stars because my nails do look okay. They aren’t the worst I’ve had, but definitely look rushed. Don’t go here. Period.

Service was terrible, i had diane and she was really rough with my nails and she had a attitude. I wasn’t offered any drink or anything. I spoke to someone who said they had a fungus after getting a pedicure here. I do not recommend this place and I definitely will not be returning.
