I had a membership for massages and the therapist was awesome! So, that’s why I still gave 3 stars. That being said, I went in for a blowout and full face make-up today. I am very dissatisfied with the fact that it was not a true blowout. A real blowout is a blow dryer and a brush- no heating tools . The “stylist” blow dried my hair as one gets done after a color/before a haircut and then just used a flat iron and curling rod on my hair. A blowout is supposed to style the hair with less damage and when you use just a dryer and brush, you get volume and the style can last a few days in some cases. With all the product she used, my hair is flat and it looks way better after I do it at home- definitely nothing similar to the photo I showed her. In addition, It took 2, yes TWO, hours to wash and curl my hair, which is insane. Also, I asked for a simple braid to be done and she couldn’t do it. I was no longer confident with her, so I wasn’t going to pay her another $70 to apply make-up. Basically, I paid $65 for my hair to be washed and curled—no true blowout and I’m now I’m have to wear a hat. Don’t go there for hair.

This place is SUPERB! If you are thinking of coming here for a massage, don’t hesitate. Shantrell at reception is down to earth, helpful and professional. She has a great personality. The location is elegant, clean and beautiful. However, the very best part of my visit today was my massage therapist, Ashley Wolf. She has healing hands and I can honestly say she gave me the best massage I've EVER had. (I've had massages all around OKC, Edmond and even at three different “5 star” Spa & Resorts in Mexico where I paid top dollar and the service was sublime, BUT Ashley still takes the cake - in my #1 spot.) I have chronic pain, Fibromyalgia and arthritis; which can make getting a massage a delicate process sometimes. However, Ashley’s attention and technique -especially to my wrists, hands, lower back and neck- was just the BEST! It wasn’t hurried, too deep or too soft. It was a wonderfully relaxing and healing massage experience! She was easy to communicate with, and as a person in general she’s genuinely delightful. I know that people have different preferences when it comes to massages, but I really don’t think anyone could go wrong with Ashley. Like I said, she’s easy to communicate with, so just speak up if you want something different or need special concentration on an area and you will be one very happy customer. In sum, I walked out of there a new person today and I can’t wait to go back!

KJ Rocks! She gives the absolutely best massage I've ever had! I recently suffered a shoulder injury and KJ has been working with me on my shoulder. So far, I've experienced a significant reduction in my level of pain due to her treatments. KJ has implemented a strategic blend of Deep Tissue and Trigger Point Therapy along with some precise muscle stretching on my shoulder and neck and this has really helped to promote the healing process. I was a client at Royal Oaks years ago, my massage therapist left and so I quit going. With the big Arctic Cold Front coming in I knew I was going to be hurting today (I have Ehler’s-Danlos Syndrome and also frequent migraines/TIAs). I called Royal Oak and spoke with Lisa, she was so sweet and scheduled the first available appointment. I booked 110 minutes with Wally and let me say - WOW! Wally was amazing. I have had a lot of massages but none like what i got here. Lisa was so kind helping me schedule and logan to reschedule, (the orginal therapist was unavailable for some reason) but i the therapist i ended up with.... i cant give enough stars for her! Robin was welcoming and polite and provided much needed bodywork and relaxation at the same time. She hit the right spots, backed out when needed, with out me saying anything.. its like she read my body. She made me feel like Ive never felt before, from the aromatherapy, hot towels, correct pressure, the extra hot towel for me while redressing, and the suggestions after my massage. She even suggested that I may like a fellow therapists massage.. it was more than an escape or a treat.. it was an experience.. one i look forward to having again. Royal Oak exceeded my expectations! I am so happy that i found a beautiful place to escape from hectic life, I will always tell anyone and everyone about royal oak!

While the therapists at this place can be good, they seem to have a high employee turnover. I've witnessed a therapist of mine that was treated poorly, which seem to contributes to the high turnover. They also charged me twice for my membership fee by accident and then refused to refund my money. I recommend people find a more honest massage spa.

Good atmosphere, great massages, magnificent service. I was very pleasantly surprised when I visited for the first time. What seems like a little shopfront is actually a big spa with estheticians, a sauna, and of course, great massages. I was a little nervous because I haven't had many massages in my life, but the therapist was friendly and encouraged me to ask questions and the way they made communication easy and open helped me to feel like it was okay to just say what I wanted. The result was a really wonderful massage. I'm definitely going to be returning here!

She was as usual late for the massage , I don't think what she did on my body was called a massage as she was jiggling my body , no firm touch , I wasted my money and my time. I have never gotten a massage before, I thought it was for women & not men. My back has been hurting so my wife made me an appt. I have to say it made my back feel better and it wasn't embarrassing since I was in a private room & they get you right in. I will be going with my wife every 2 weeks when she goes. I went to the infrared sauna last night and they made me feel like royalty! The entire staff was so nice and accomadating! I was the last appointment of the day and when it appeared that I was going to run a few minutes past their closing time, the lady said "no worries, we love to stay late". First of all, you never hear those words normally. Second, you could tell she was completely genuine in what she said and not just saying it because she was told to say it. I'm a single mom who has limited funds, so I am unable to keep a monthly membership here, but as soon as I am in a place in my life to be able to, this will be the place I go to! Excellent job!

Elyena incorporated a little massage in with the facial which makes it super relaxing. I have always been scared to have blackheads removed, Elyena removed them without any pain. I've been going to Royal Oak for over 2 years now. I got their membership primarily for the infrared sauna use but it does a good job of reminding me to get a massage at least monthly. Its one of the best things you can do for your body. I've had 20+ massages there but had one of the best from Ashley yesterday. An hour wasnt long enough. Im a runner and lift weights. Ashley did a great job of working out knots and stress in my shoulders and calves. I highly recommend Royal Oak

I was so overwhelmed by they way the treat me, I had an massage appointment ,when I got there I explained to him that I am suffering very bad from neck and back pain, close to 15 min he just put at least 5 different hot towels, after that he start to rub a hot stone on my back for a few more min, no massage no pressure, so I told him that I need a the pressure and not hot towels pls, he got offended like I didn't respect the way he massage, he told me to get up and leave. I was shocked. After that I'm coming out and the 2 'nice' ladies in the front told "dont pay just go, bye" You guys have an attitude issues, figure this out, I'll never come or recommend anyone to come here, ever. This was only my 2nd professional massage, so I have relatively little to compare it to. The facilities were nice, clean, and quiet. Everything appeared well maintained. For me as someone new to the experience, Ashley W. made the experience comfortable and non-awkward. She was relatively successful in relieving some muscle knots in my shoulders that had been building for years. It was a positive experience that I will likely repeat soon. I may have to consider the monthly credit-purchase agreement. That plan was explained enthusiastically, but thankfully did not feel like a high-pressure sale...they were more than happy to let me have a one-time massage without trying to force a contract. Kudos to the girl at the front desk for that.

After being interested in, and reading about, the benefits of infrared sauna use for some time, I recently discovered the infrared sauna at Royal Oak Massage in Edmond, Oklahoma. I’ve greatly enjoyed my first few sessions, plus the owner and staff are friendly and helpful. They happily answer questions, and are interested in providing customers with a relaxing experience each time. The infrared sauna is extremely relaxing!! It’s most enjoyable if I leave my phone in my purse, to focus on relaxing my mind as well. If you have health conditions, it’s a good idea to let your physician know before you start regular sessions (they encourage this as well). Also remember to replace any lost fluids/electrolytes after a session, to prevent dehydration. Royal Oak provides bottled water each time, which is wonderful! The facility is calming, nice and clean. One recommendation: I think they’d greatly benefit by streamlining the sauna process. Currently, they give customers a choice whether to change and secure items in an empty massage room, or to change in the bathroom and then secure items in a room. I’ve done both. If changing in the bathroom, it’s hard to find a spot to set my purse. Providing a hook on the door or wall would be a simple fix for hanging purses and bags. To streamline the infrared sauna process, it would be great to create and provide one area to change and secure belongings, by perhaps modifying the existing space on either side of the sauna itself. One side has an open area with a bench and hook, and the other side is part of a calming lounge. Maybe it’s as simple as installing a screen, or a small, draped-in area on either side, for which to change. Within the same space, a small locker could safely store belongings. It would make the infrared sauna process smoother for both Royal Oak, and their customers. I imagine they didn’t have the infrared sauna when they initially opened, and it’s rather a wonderful addition they acquired later on. Overall, I’m extremely impressed, and look forward to more sauna sessions. I’d also like to try a massage and facial in the future. Great job, guys! We’re happy you’re in Edmond.

If this was such a big concern ,why was this not reported to management rather than posting on public review? Interesting. Just for the record, my past experiences with Holly have always been nothing but professional and pleasant. It was always focused on my customer experience. (5 stars). And based on the other reviews posted here, it appears I’m not the only one. I would highly recommend her. You won’t be disappointed. It’s very “dishearten” that a unanimous person would choose to use the review process (intended to help collaborate and communicate with others) to try to discredit a person for the their own personal gain/game. Now, that’s “Sad”.

When I first contacted Royal Oak Massage about their infrared sauna, they quoted me a price of $40.00 for unlimited use. I wasn't able to fit appointments in until the following month because I am a caretaker. By then, the price had risen to $60.00. I asked them about it and they said something to the effect that it was only $10.00. She didn't even realize it was a $20.00 difference. I should have run away right then. Anyway, stupid me, I decided to go ahead and try it as I felt I really needed a time to relax and detox, with "me" time. Since they are located close to my home, I was willing to overlook things. It was so convenient and I needed this. I went during the winter months but when the weather got warmer, I quit going. Every time I was in there, they always asked when I would be in again and helped me make reservations. They kept track of me. That's why they didn't charge the first month I quit going. They knew I wasn't coming in. Stupid me, I figured since I wasn't making reservations, that they wouldn't charge me. WRONG! Why they thought they could all of a sudden start charging me after I hadn't been there for 2 months and hadn't paid for one month, I have no idea except they decided they could get away with it and make another $180. I called and asked about it and they wouldn't withdraw the charges. They said I have to cancel. They knew I wasn’t coming in because they didn’t charge the first month I quit. It's their loss. They lost me as a customer because I planned on coming back in the winter. Most places I do business with make exceptions but not this place. I'll never go back. I only do business with places that have heart and want to keep their customers happy. She says I signed a contract but to be truthful, I don’t remember it. And, I never got a copy so it didn’t sink in that I had signed a contract. I was under a lot of stress because my mother had just been through a medical situation. Anyway, they got my $60 when I hadn't been there in 2 months but they get a bad review and lost a customer. I had to give 1 star so this comment would post. Too bad there isn't a -5 stars. Update: I just spoke with Lisa and she told me they waived the fee for 2 months. Wouldn't you call your customer and find out what's going on and if they want to continue? I would but not this place. They just kept charging, knowing that I wasn't coming in.

I was actually somewhat disappointed with my deep tissue massage from Theresa. The facility is very nice and the staff was very friendly, but Theresa did not seem well trained on how to work on problem areas. Maybe she does a good swedish massage, but she seemed to apply deep pressure just for the sake of pressure, and not on areas that needed work. I have had a ton of bodywork in my life, so maybe I have unusually high standards, but I was not impressed and will not be returning to Theresa. She was also very talkative and kept trying to sell me services and memberships when all I really wanted was a massage and relaxation. I will try other massage therapists there in the hopes that some of the others have better skills.

I loved their monthly membership. It was very convenient and came in very handy for a spur of the moment gift! The one massage a month membership allows the points to be stored in your profile, given in a gift card, or allows you the option to just send a friend in. Plus if you let the points store up you can use them at the same time which was a great date day for my husband and I. Recently I cancelled my membership due to the fact that I will be leaving the state but it was super easy to do and the points can be used up to a year after canceling so I would highly recommend their services!

I Came in this afternoon for an 80 minute massage with Ashley Wolf. She has amazing strength for such a small lady. She was able to deal with the "ropy" spots in my neck and back while also doing wonders for the tendinitis in my wrist. She does a fantastic deep tissue and uses mixed-modalities. Very, very good masseuse. I'll definitely be back as needed and as time permits. My wrist hasn't felt this free of pain in a month. Domo arigato Ashley!

Someone I know received a gift certificate for a facial and massage with no expiration date and no amount listed. Goes in gets her massage and facial and as she is leaving is informed she has a balance of $78. She is confused and tells the girl at the desk she had a gift certificate and the girl tells her the gift certificate was only for $100 and that didn't cover both services. She tells the girl that it's not her fault it's not listed on her gift certificate nor was she informed of at any point beforehand that there would be a balance or she would have only booked one service. Asks the girl to call her manager and the manager was rude, mad the gift certificate didn't have an expiration date etc. My friend says none of this is her fault and she won't pay the balance. Within a week she has received a summons to municipal court on a charge of defrauding an innkeeper. Way to correct a mistake made by YOUR OWN business on your gift certificate and then not only blame the customer but take them to court over less then $100 in services that weren't even made clear to her.. wouldn't recommend to anyone I know

Holy Cow - My upper back, neck and shoulders were so tight you could bounce a hammer off of them. They were killing me. KILLING. ME. Ashley Wolf worked on me for 2 hours and I finally was pain free for the first time in at least 3 weeks. Thanks Ashley - you ROCK!

Today, I visited Royal Oak Massage for the first time, as we are new to the area. The spa is very well appointed and the staff is very friendly. I had a 2 hour massage from Teresa Ambler and will definitely be returning in the future. She was nice and the massage was very relaxing. Couldn't have asked for more.

My daughter called a month in advance to schedule for four of us to get 2 facials and 2 massages for her sisters 40th birthday celebration on Saturday February 10. She specifically asked if two of us could get facials at the same time and the other two get massages at the same time. Then we would switch so we would all be out of there in two hours. The owner said yes no problem and booked the four of us from 11-1. We get there and the receptionist did not show us scheduled as promised. They were not even set up to do two facials at one time and there were not enough therapists to get us done in two hours. The receptionist was trying very hard to get it figured out and accommodate us but could not get ahold of the owner to get any answers. This was extremely upsetting and disappointing to us. We did not get the services promised and two of us went next door and got pedicures while one person got a massage and the other a facial. Nothing like we had planned. We realize things can happen but my daughter who scheduled the appointments was promised a phone call and as of today she has not been called. At least make it right with your customers. Very unhappy and will not be returning!!!

I absolutely love coming here, it is one of the best ones I have been to, and they all are very good at what they do as well and are very caring. My only problem I have is Holly, she is wonderful at what she does. But every time I come in there and the other therapist are booked, I have to book with her. And she likes to spend my time bad talking all the other therapist, and it breaks my heart because all of the others adore her and compliment her. But what they don't know is she never complements them, instead she bad talks everyone there and even the owner as well. Like the old saying one person will bring down a great business, and she is one that will bring a business down very quickly. Because I am tired of hearing her negativity about others every time, and they never say anything about others themselves. It's really sad if you ask me.
