I’ve read most of these reviews and I’m inclined to agree with most of them. I visited this place a few weeks ago. I came here because of the raving reviews. I had a full day. Everything was amazing. After reading the last review, I would assume that this woman was just having a bad day. The place smelled great and if you don’t tell your massage therapist that it’s too much pressure how do you expect them to change it? Not every spa has 100% good days. Everyone here was so friendly and made me feel so relaxed and welcome. I definitely do recommend this place. I used to go to Cottonwood but since they have closed, I started going here and I love it more than Cottonwood. This will be my go to place from now on.

Some girlfriends and I set up multiple spa treatments for us to have on afternoon for a friends birthday. We had taken off work and made a day of girl time. We were called less than 30 min prior to all of our scheduled services and was told that one of the massage therapist would not be available. These were 90 minute sessions we had scheduled over a month in advance. When we arrived because we were already almost there they threw out some solutions to us. The main solution was simply have most of the girls do their 90 minute session while the one waited and when everyone else was done she could have hers. Leaving everyone to sit for 90 minutes while you waited for others to have their session. There really were not any other options and the staff was less than concerned about our frustration. It was very frustrating and left a huge hole in our planned day with no concern from the spa. Then as we decided we were not going to be doing any services because no one wanted to have to wait they said the $85 deposit that was on one of the girls card would simply be a credit on her account there. She said she would have to ask if that could be refunded and that someone would contact her later. They did call and refund that however are you kidding me??? Have ask and see??? No appropriate. I then later emailed the front desk asking for a contact for the owners and was told that anything I wanted to email could come through the front desk. I emailed back asking for a contact that was not funneled through everyone and as no shock I am yet to receive any correspondence. So beyond disappointed in this place and the employees.

I went there before V-day and my S/O bought me a package to have a mani/pedi facial and full masssge. For experiencing a massage for the first time (professionally) it was amazing and relaxing. Highly recommending gonig back, and hopefully i'll be back with my S/O to experience as well.

My wife likes your massages so I came in to buy a gift card for Valentine's Day. I was told to take a seat while they get someone to help me. I was then ignored while two other customers who came in after me were sold gift cards. Update - Anthony got in touch and apologized. He offered to upgrade my wife's massage assuring me that this is not the way they normally do business. In all fairness it was the day before Valentine's Day so it's possible they were having a hectic day. Thanks for the hookup guys!

Marjorie rocks. It's that simple. My daughter is a professional singer and when she comes to town, she wants Marjorie to do her eyebrows. We not only get the best service EVER, but we laugh and have just a wonderful time. I always look forward to my appointments. Went there for a spa day with my husband, the facial was very good and our 2 hour massages were amazing!!!....the only thing I didnt like was the pedicure, we got the best one we thought which was $78 one, and it was very disappointing, its sounds very detailed in the description, but I've gotten better pedis for half the price!

I came in a few weeks ago and got a massage from Teresa. She used something really hot on me with letting me know and when I asked her to use more pressure she didn’t. I gave a 4 because I have been here before and always got awesome service but this time was less than I was expecting.

The place is just so peaceful and serene. The staff is so positive and amazing. They even have a little zen garden in the back!! I love this place and highly recommend it! And if you are going for skin care, ask for Rachael Tarpley! Her hands are magical and her work yields REAL results. Check her out!

I booked a couples massage for my husband and I for Valentines Day. My husband said he enjoyed his massage but he's had better. My massage was disappointing. I am very ticklish on my back. My masseuse, Jennifer, asked me prior to my massage if I had any ticklish spots and I told her that I was ticklish on my back. Once she got to my back, I giggled and she stopped my massage. She applied pressure to my back and then massaged my neck. She finished my massage before my husbands masseuse finished his so I got to watch him get his back massaged. Also, I didn't hear either masseuse ask questions in regards to what type of pressure or how hard we wanted to be massaged, i.e., deep tissue. Upon checkout, I asked the cashier and another masseuse if it's common for a masseuse to stop massaging because someone is ticklish. I've never encountered that before so this was strange to me. The masseuse I asked said she didn't mind people laughing and said she would have continued the massage.The cashier spoke to Jennifer and she told him that people who laugh tense up and she didn't want to hurt me. My husband mentioned after we left that she didn't seem like she wasn't in a good mood. She seemed inconvenienced by me. I picked this place based on comments from a family member and a friend but I won't return for any future services. I've had much better massages. Just know that if you choose this place, you may not actually get what you pay for especially if you are paired with Jennifer.

This was acceptable but not my best. Massage itself was great and relaxing, but the room was cold which made it difficult to fully relax. The therapist added an extra sheet which helped but not quite enough. I paid the extra for aromatherapy, which I assumed would be in the form of an air diffuser. However I believe it was just in the oil she used on her hands. I smelled the scent I selected, but only for a few quick seconds after she reapplied the oil to her hands. It smelled great, but wasn't really worth the extra money. The reason for the 3 stars instead of 4, was in a scheduling issue. I had written down 4:45 when I scheduled the appointment, but apparently they had my down for 4:15. Granted they called to confirm my appointment, but caught me at a busy time when I wasn't in front of my calnedar and I didn't catch the difference. I called around 4:10 and was told my appointment was at 4:15. I said I would leave right away but would be 10 or 15 minutes late. I offered to reschedule but the receptionist did this big put out sigh and voice, and told me just to come anyway. I got there only to find my hour was going to be cut to 50 min, so I rescheduled anyway. Fortunately the person I spoke with on the phone wasn't there, and the ladies who were, were professional and understanding, and even apologized for the confusion. I've been to Renaissance before and had a much better experience. This one was ok. As I said previously, the massage itself and the therapist were great. There were just other factors that made it less than desired.

Great experience! My husband and I got hour massages! I had a prenatal massage and Darla made sure I was comfortable the entire time. Sarah massaged my husband and he was very pleased with the massage! I would definitely recommend Renaissance Salon and Spa! Very unique and cute house/building too!

Hands down, some of the best customer service I've ever gotten! I recently got married on Saturday May 19th, 2018 and Renaissance Salon had to deal with me and my other 12 ladies for nails, hair and makeup. It was a 2 day process but everyone did an amazingly fantastic job! Massive shout out to Fawn for making my and my best friend/Maid of Honour look so professionally done, Brianna for some amazing hairstyles and Gisella and Brianna again for the fantastic nails done to make me and my ladies looks stunning on my special day!

I had a Spa Finder gift certificate and decided to cash it in here for a mani/pedi before returning to work. The gel mani was okay. My nails weren't cut evenly and the shape wasn't consistent. I did ask to have them corrected a couple times and she did try, but they never really looked right. I also may as well have gotten regular polish. Within a few days, it was chipping. I've had it for just over 2 weeks now and when I showered this evening, the polish just peeled off literally in whole chunks (like a Jamberry or Color Street product looks before you put it on your nail). The one nail that didn't come off that way came off easily with just some regular polish remover. I should have removed it all a while ago, but know the hassle of removing gel polish and just haven't had the time to do it at home...I guess it wasn't that difficult after all. The pedi was okay, but not worth the $78. The chairs were really nice, but I can go to my normal place and get the exact same thing for $40. I felt that the staff and the atmosphere were mediocre at best. No real complaints, but not outstanding sevice either. I'll just go back to my normal place and get the same (or better!) service for a lot less money. I just expected a lot more (of the staff and services) for the cost.

I chose this salon because of the location and website. As I walk in the door there’s huge boxes in my way. Then there was difficulty because I had a gift certificate from spa finder. I go up to the massage room the bathroom smells like someone just took a dump. The body scrub and wrap were great. I requested medium pressure for my massage, as the massage went on it got into deep tissue so therefore the massage was not relaxing at all. I have had many massages at different spas in country and out of country and this was by far the worst one because I was not relaxed and felt like I wanted to melt when I got out of there. The facial it’s self was good. However, after having a massage and laying on the hard table with the facial technician and her leaving the room multiple times for several minutes I found it not to be a relaxing experience either. Then when I check out it is a nightmare because I have the spa certificate and no one knows how to redeem it for me so I Wait there for 20 minutes while they figure out how to redeem my certificate. I was hoping that this would be a place I could go to regular but as you can tell, I will not be going back there and I will not recommend this spot to anyone.

I went here for a sunless tan today and it was great! My tan is perfectly even and not even a little bit orange. Ashley paid great attention to detail and made sure everything was perfectly even. She gave me great tips to make it last for a long time and was friendly to talk to throughout my visit. I will definitely go again!

Love this place! Was a former Cottonwood Spa customer for years, but after big changes in price, inconvenient tipping rules, & staff turn over, I decided to try Renaissance. Staff seems happier here, rooms are nice, prices are good, & variety is excellent. So glad I switched !

Theresa did my massage and pedi (the relax and revive special) and she was phenomenal! She was calm, peaceful and so kind. She talked a little but also allowed me to relax and sit quietly. She applied perfect pressure for my massage and always made me feel comfortable. Hands down the best massage and pedi I've ever received. I will definitely go back and recommend to friends.

Great massage by an experienced, knowledgeable masseuse. Friendly staff. It was a unique building and had an eclectic homey feel. My only complaint was that some of the decor (curtain rods, figurines, wall art, fake plants, etc) were extremely dusty and gave an unkempt feel.

90 minute facial by marjorie, hands down best facial I've ever had. lately spas have been more focused on products rather than actual massage technique and marjorie really knew her craft. she covered neck, decollate, head, face... I just had the most heavenly experience and my skin has been so refreshed. warm friendly environment, Anthony at the front desk was very nice and accomodating towards all customers and employees. washroom smelled great. I don't have enough words to describe how relaxing, rejuvenating and amazing the facial by marjorie was, I'll def be going back and trying other services by them as well

I came in to get a massage there a few weeks ago. I have been to Renaissance for several massages. This massage was the worst I’ve had there. I think her name was Leslie Hodge. I will never get a massage from her again. She spent so much time on my neck and only in one area and she never moved to another area on my neck. then when she got my back she spent maybe 10 minutes on my back. When she was on my back She only put pressure on my shoulders and right over my kidney which did not feel good. I told her at the start of the massage I wanted more time on my back but that did not happen. If you go here for a massage, There are other massage therapists there more qualified. Renaissance is a good spa but this experience definitely was bad.
