I wanted to write this review because of Jeanne and Cara! They are fantastic. I struggled with TMJ and jaw clenching. I would wake up with a headache constantly and my jaw would be sore. I spent thousands of dollars at the dentist and would grind down night guards. I went to chiropractors, acupuncture, doctors and had no solution. I tried other LMTs. Jeanne took me in and set me up with some excercises to do at night and went to work on my jaw. It was by far the most helpful solution to my problem. I stopped clenching and wearing night guards. My jaw muscles are more relaxed (therefore no clenching) and I stopped waking up with headaches! I love them and everything they've done for me!

I have been both a client, and an employee of The Oaks. I have a unique perspective as both an LMT and a professional working towards my second degree. The Oaks, and all Jeanne has built over the past 30 years is absolutely amazing. She has built her business on honesty, hard work, and she (unlike many in the business world) respects the karma of the universe. She never tramples anyone for a buck (including her employees). She trains all her therapists and does her best to instill patience, artistry, and the importance of education. I have had family, friends, and acquaintances go to the Oaks Spa and leave AMAZED. Occasionally a new, less experienced therapist may get a bad review or have a misstep. Jeanne addresses the situation, makes it a teachable moment, and moves forward with grace and dignity. She is the best boss I have ever worked for, and this greatness trickles down to her therapists, and patients. She hasn't just taken an online course here and there like many phonies in the "biz". She is well traveled and well studied in dozens of modalities with both Eastern and Western influences. Any patient or employee interested in learning more need only ask, and she will promptly deliver her sage, valuable advice. Here's to 30 more years of amazing work Oaks Spa!

I've been to many different masseuses, some specializing in sports massage, and she is my go-to gal above the rest. She truly knows how to get in there and work out deep kinks and knots. I was disappointed with my experience at this "spa". I came in for a massage and was rushed in and rushed out. I told my masseuse that my tension was in my back, and she spent the least time there and then ended the session early.

I am a former employee and try to regularly visit the spa for services. I recieve world class treatment everytime I have a service. This place goes above and beyond for their customers and employees. I have sent family and friends here. I wouldnt recommend any other spa.

Couple's Massage- Walked in and we were greeted right away. Had some refreshments and then taken to a relaxation room. They brought us wine and turned on a little fire place, after we were taken to our massage room. I received a relaxing hot stone massage and my partner a deep tissue. The therapist made sure to concentrate on areas I needed more attention like my wrist, elbows and hands from my job as a tattoo artist and made sure I was very comfortable. My partner enjoyed his as well. The whole experience was warm and relaxing.

Hmm. Went here for the first time today. I was able to book an online appointment last night to have a massage today. That was nice because my normal place didn't have any availability until late next week and I was in need of work. I get to my 4pm appointment with a few minutes to spare (the building the "spa" is in did not have the address well marked on the building so I had to guess it was the right building based on the address of the other buildings it shares a parking lot with). I get inside and check in. After filling out paperwork, the receptionist has me prepay b/c she "wanted to get out of here because im going to the Indians game." So, I pretty much had to pay and tip for a service I hadn't even received yet because the receptionist didn't want to stay late to do her job. Also was informed by her that "the Therapist is running a little behind, but you're still going to get your full hour." Well yeah, I would hope so. Finally got in for my 4pm appointment at 4:15. The massage itself was OK. nothing to really write home about, pretty average. Wasn't asked if any particular areas to focus on...Was only asked about pressure once I turned over onto my stomach. When I was on my back, she only worked on half of my neck area (??) and focused more on my arms/stretching my arms and legs. on my stomach, she did do a little more work on my neck and back (included some hot stones), but still not as much as other places I have been. I went in with neck pain...walked out with neck pain and the start of a migraine. Wasn't even offered water after my massage, which everyone knows they need to increase water intake after a massage. I guess since my massage was over after the spa closed, they didn't want to stay any later to promote client satisfaction. Doubtful I'd go back.

LOOK NO FURTHER.. CARA will heal you!! I was on the verge of surgery and limping around my house. I wanted to give up and stop my PT regiment because of the pain. I was given Cara's name and number, but I threw it on my table with all my past experiences was over fluffy messages!! Cara does anything, but a fluffy massage!! Her knowledge is second to none and MOST importantly she cares about helping her clients NOT just taking there money! If you want a world class masseuse look no further than Oaks Massotherapy and ask for Cara!!

The massage I received was nice and the therapist was friendly. However the girl(s) answering the phone were not friendly or knowledgeable about the massage I was receiving when I asked questions. I was put on hold multiple times until finally someone came to the phone that was able to answer questions. The location of the spa is quite horrible. It’s in a very old high rise building, not very ‘spa’ like in my opinion. And when I asked to reschedule an appt I had the response I received was “yeah, ok bye” and was literally hung up on. Who conducts business like that??? I will not be returning and will not be recommending.

Terrible experience. The "spa" location is a large, older, high-rise office building. I was greeted by a woman at the front desk, her name was Alice. She had a dirty look on her face and wasn't friendly. She looked annoyed when I walked in. Turns out she was the one doing my massage. I went in for a TMJ massage and left feeling like I was mouth raped. She was very rough and actually hurt the inside of my mouth. She used gloves and was jamming her fingers in the very sensitive areas of my gumline. I had tears rolling down my cheeks and one point and asked her to stop because it was painful. And her response was "it's supposed to hurt." She also kept moving my jaw from side to side and telling me to "relax" which was very painful. If you suffer from TMJ you know how sensitive and tender those areas can be. Looking back I should've got up and left. I've had many massages and spa treatments in my life and this was the worst experience I've ever had. Don't go here or don't go to Alice, esp for TMJ pain.

I had back surgery in December. I have had lingering stiffness and occasional sciatica resulting from the surgery. Rachel did a great job of working out my knots and inflamed nerves/muscles. I look forward to a few more visits and feeling better then ever.

I've never had a bad experience at The Oaks Massotherapy & Botanical Spa. It seems like every time I go, the massage therapists throw in perks. For example, once I received a mini facial, and this last time, with Kimberly, I had a hot stone massage at the end of my swedish massage. My husband had Rosa and he was treated to a unique experience, cupping, which he felt really helped alleviate his lower back pain. We'll continue to go back any time we can.

I get massages on a regular basis and this is by far the worst place!!! First off, way too expensive for the massage that wasn't even worth it! I went to try to relax and got the complete opposite ended up feeling worse when I got out of that place than better! The lady kept breathing so hard couldn't even relax and ended up feeling more sore than relaxed. The place is old, outdated and smelled like mold. And lastly they held a $100 for the massage on my credit card. I gave them $250 in cash for a couples massage and facial, the lady ran out saying I gave her too much money and gave me $26 dollars back, now they are trying to change my card the $100 saying I didn't pay enough??!!? $324 for a couples massage and facial???!!! Really??!!! I feel like I should be paid from them for having the worst service ever!!!! Stay far away from this place unless you want to be disappointed if you want a good massage go to sacared hour in rocky river or lakewood that's definitely worth the money not this place!!

Jeanne is amazing! She has helped me tremendously in recovering from breast cancer surgery. Her Manual Scar Tissue Release Therapy has given my so much relief from my pain and helped with range of motion. She has a wonderful "bedside manner" and I always leave feeling much better than when I walked in. If you know anyone who has had breast surgery, suffering from surgical pain or loss of range of motion, Jeanne is a must see!!

Spent a good amount of money on a massage for Valentine's day. It was her first visit and place was hard to find. This resulted in being 15 minutes late. The place has no sign and is in office building. After all of this she ended up with a 40 minute massage and 15$ tip. I must say im very upset.
