Love this place! Everyone is very nice and welcoming from Nicole, the manager, to Nikole the receptionist. I have always been offered some sort of fruit and/or herbal tea along with a warm, scented, damp cloth while waiting. And, as far as technicians go, Ashlee is the best!!

Such poor follow-through, communication and customer service from the reception staff and managers. I had the membership for quite some time in the past - 2016 I believe. Apparently I still have credits left from that membership. As far as The number of credits and what services I have remaining I have no idea. I get a different answer from everyone that I talk to there whether on the phone or in person; including a manager, Stephanie. I asked a manager for a printout of my remaining credits in person and she told me she couldn’t walk over to her office to print or email it to me that day because “it was a Saturday and it was busy.” (Meanwhile there was maybe 1 person sitting in the lobby). Isn’t that the point of a manager being present on the weekend to handle these types of things? So She said she would call me on Tuesday to go over everything w me and email my remaining credits to me. I have heard nothing from anyone. No call and no email. I also had called in end of March to re-sign up for the membership and thought I was earning more credits until I called last week to schedule an appointment and they told me I wasn’t an active member. It is so unorganized and the money that I paid for as long as I was a member for all I know was just a waste. Because no one there will give me a straight answer on what I have. I paid for services that I can’t receive due to no one knowing what’s going on there. The girls behind the scenes that do the nails do a wonderful job but it is not worth the hassle. All I want to know is how many credits do I have left and for what services. I will keep track on my own since no one there seems capable of it.

I had a package for sauna, massage, manicure/pedicure. The staff were very warm welcoming and the atmosphere was relaxing for the sauna and massage rooms. The manicure and pedicure was not relaxing. Gel manicure lasted 1 day before it peeled. Pedicure was inadequate cuticles untouched rough spots untouched basically a foot soak and nail painting -which was quite upsetting. This was the second time gel nails done and lasted 1 day. Next time I will skip the nails and would most likely rate it a 5.

Great variety of services offered here. One of the few facilities in Cleveland that offers multiple relaxation rooms and sauna with every spa service. Getting into a robe before a spa treatment and being pampered by expert staff set this spa above the massage parlors in the area.

Went in for a bachelorette party-type of spa day. Had a great pedicure, but the technician was rushed and I noted that I didn’t receive the same services as all the other girls. Then was scheduled for a manicure, which really was just gel polish. No soaking, no real cuticle care, etc. The gel polish peeled the next day! For $100 I should have had a much better mani/pedi.

I like the style and relaxation I feel when I go here. I have become a member though rumor has it that they are lowering their massage times to fifty minutes and not sixty. If this is the case it will no longer be worth the money and time and I most likely will pull my membership. They have a lot of excellent services but sometimes you get a person that is not an expert in one area and the experience can be lessened.

As a newcomer to Cleveland, Spa West came highly recommended. A regular customer of gel manicures, I’m stunned by the lack of quality and skill—I have a bubble and the start of some peeling on one finger within a few hours. I asked about tip options for my bill and was told “cash only gratuities” then told I would have certainly been informed of this when booking. Cleveland has been so full of genuine niceness but this felt very pretentious and a lack of accountability.

First off, after the first massage I felt better. But I have done enough massages to know, it only gets better if you let the person get to know you. In other words people, if it wasn't perfect the first time. Choose the same person, and explain the issue. If they work for this place, it will be better. Hell, even when I did private massages.Hell, you are not relaxed the first time with a person you do not know. To expect relaxation is just ignorant, you are up tight just being there My back hurts, the person that did my massage offered home suggestions to make me feel better. None that would take away from business for the place. I felt better first time with this lady, did the therapeutic. always have felt better afterwards. Now I’m not one to leave reviews, but.......Lisa Rivera was amazing! Not only did she stay an hour later than close to ensure everything was perfect, but she was very thorough and didn’t rush. I don’t think she was booked enough time for my sister and I to have our nails redone (we got ours a few days prior). It doesn’t take 10 minutes per person. The excess gel needs to be removed and she prepped the nails as they should have been the first time because they weren’t great, cuticles and all. The most personable nail tech I’ve ever experienced personally. My sister and I had gel manicures done four days ago and they started peeling the same day. Not just chipping here and there, but peeling off entirely in one or two huge pieces. It was so inconvient to have to come back but she made my experience a million times better than I thought it could be. My sister is a licensed cosmetologist and thought she was awesome as well, following all of the protocol necessary. People like Lisa are hard to come by. LOVED her. Thank you Lisa!!!!!! My mom and I have been coming there for a couple of years and have always had a good experience until yesterday. I decided to take my mom for a massage because she has been having a hard time with things that are going on with my grandma. I booked us both a signature massage because we have never had that one and we were really looking forward to the hot rocks experience. I wasn’t sure how the massage goes so when she first started massaging me how I normally had it I thought maybe they use the rocks later. When she told to me flip over on my back I then asked her about the signature massage she told me I was scheduled for the relaxation massage. She said she didn’t have rocks to do that. I’ve always had the relaxation and I’ve always had my feet massaged but she didn’t do that either. When I was getting ready to leave and pay I told the receptionist what happened and she said I was scheduled for the signature massage so she didn’t know why the massage therapist said that it was the relaxation one. I told her I never received that and asked her what the price difference was. She said it was $5 cheaper but didn’t seem to interested to hear about what why I was upset. My mom also told her I wasn’t happy because I was so looking forward to the signature massage, she then called someone and gave me the price for the relaxation massage that you had on special last month. Never once did the receptionist apologize or seem to even care that someone there messed up. It was a very disappointing day that I was so looking forward to.

I love this spa! I've been going to them for 8 years and they've been fantastic. The robes are very comfortable and the relaxation room is to die for. The sauna is very nice as well. Staff is courteous and very accommodating. I've tried other places, but always come back!

Spa West is not worthy of your money and a terrible place to work. I worked for Spa West for 2.5 years as a receptionist and eventually as a Front Desk Manager. During my time at Spa West I was verbally berated, pressured into actions that went against my morals, and witnessed multiple employees being treated poorly. Receptionists are constantly told to lie to the clients. These lies can range from why your technician is running late (yes we did over book them but no we can't tell you that) to why your product you prepaid for is not in (it's actually because we haven't paid the company for the credit we have been buying product with) to what products we are using during your treatments. The product is often understocked in the back of house and management prefers quick fixes (such as purchasing from Sally's or near by stores) then keeping product properly stocked. Technicians are often performing services they have not been properly trained in and they are pressured into working 8 hours without breaks. I personally was overworked and felt that I was not allowed to call off. One night, I awoke with severe side pain and my partner rushed me to the ER at about 4 am. They found that I had three kidney stones, however, I was still expected to come into work and I worked a complete 8 hour shift. Another such example, I had a bad flu and after a few days of working sick I visited the doctor and called off work. Despite being told that my doctors note would excuse me from work I was contacted multiple times by Nicole telling me that I needed to come in. Nicole also had a habit of calling or texting me on my days off in order to berate me. Often these conversations revolved around actions outside of my control. When I presented solutions to theses issues I was ignored and no actions were taken. Working at Sp West caused me extreme anxiety and I would often wake during the night having a panic attack due constant harassment from management. However, my last straw was when management and ownership reduced my hourly wages by $2 per hour without informing me. I immediately asked about the error and was told (I quote) "Oh I forgot to tell you." They then began to attempt to convince me that I should accept the decrease in my hourly wages. I submitted my two weeks notice and during this time found out that receptionists with less experience then me (currently front desk manager) were receiving an hourly pay rate higher then what I had gradually earned as my rate of pay (not including the $2 decrease they expected me to take). I discourage anyone from seeking employment here and I can recommend better places to receive your pampering!

I enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere, the extremely courteous staff, and the services given were phenomenal. Unfortunately, it took 4 hours to get through a body scrub, mani, and pedi which is a ridiculous amount of time! My gel mani literally lasted 2 days before the majority of it began coming off like basic nail polish. I'm giving Spa West a 4 star rating because their customer service is outstanding. They handled my concerns with aplomb and offered replacement services.

Man this place has gone downhill. Neglected and devoid of talent. Don’t waste your money. They have to be going out of business. To your response, nice try on the fake customer response, but we already talked and you failed at repairing the situation and left my wife almost in tears on our anniversary on her second try to get just highlights done properly. I had bought her a massage gift card prior and she was too nice to tell me that the massage was garbage until too late and I wasted more money at spa west. Just go out of business already let another business who actually cares take over.

I had an 80 minute massage and she tried to talk to me for 20 mins when I was not interested in talking about my skin care routine or my life. I paid for an 80 min facial and got about a 60 min one and when I asked about extractions she said she didn't know what I was talking about. My massage was good however I would not come back for a facial or recommend this place for any services. I was not impressed with their over hyped prices, services and being "jipped" time I paid for.

I have been going to Ashlee for facials for some months now, she has transformed my skin. She educated me on the right regime for acne prone skin and was able to get me off my Rx Retinol Cream and completely transform my skin's appearance and texture in just 2 visits so far. I can't wait for my next one! I am so happy with the results, but more so, the excellent customer service I get when I visit Spa West, they truly take care of their members. I highly recommend becoming a member and treating yourself to a monthly self-care session, I love that I can switch it up certain months and do a mani+pedi before a vacation or event too. The fact that you can also roll over the monthly service month to month is really nice, it's not a "use it or lose it" membership which is great for busy people.

I booked couple massage online. I called in a few hours ahead of time just to confirm and somehow they had me booked with another individual. When booking online they never asked my partners name or anything. So with that being said I had to cancel because of their malfunction with online booking. I was told I wouldn’t be charged but I would have to cancel or reschedule for another day. No sorry or any other accommodation were presented to me so I’ll never go back again.

This was my second time coming here after I had a mediocre experience the first time. I waited in the lobby for 20 minutes. The $45 salt bath that was suppose to be approximately 30 minutes lasted less than 10. I asked for longer and they could not accommodate. After my facial I was told I had an hour before my next appointment but then lunch came. They finally said I could finish the bath after my hair style (which wouldn’t be great for styled hair). I ended up cancelling my last appointment. Not impressed with the scheduling but my facial with Maddie was really great.

DO NOT go to this spa. I called ahead of time and asked for a makeup consultation. When I went in she gave me a color that was 5 shades darker than my skin. I went back returned it and she sold me a product nothing like what I wanted because the one I wanted was out of stock (she never told me that) . Then the assistant manager said I could return it and she would give me extra money on a Gift Card. Then wouldn't LET me return it. "oh you can use the Gift Card for our services since we don't have the product you want. " I wanted the makeup not your stupid services. I told everyone how great you were. Now I'm telling EVERYONE NOT to go there. Goodbye! Crappy Customer Service! Learn how to run a business!

I spoke with an employee over the phone and she quoted one price, it was not honored at the desk. I received a SpaFinder gift card from my employer and decided to use it at Spa West. I chose a hot stone massage and it was just okay. When I went to pay for the service, they told me they were unable to process the SpaFinder gift card and that I would have to pay for the service myself. I did so, but immediately called SpaFinder to confirm that my gift card had money on it and was usable. They assured me it was fine and that I should have no problem using it. I returned to Spa West and asked them to try again to process the gift card, and was met with utter confusion. They continued to try to process the gift card over and over again. They eventually figured it out - it seemed to be an issue with their POS system. At the end of this experience, I was frustrated and left stressed. They barely offered me an apology, even though the error was with their system and I almost had to pay for my service out of pocket when they say they accept SpaFinder. I will not be returning.

I use to love going here. I had a membership to get monthly massages. However, the person who did my massages, Andrew, is no longer there. I was not notified that my appointment was changed to another person to do my massage or that he was no longer there. I have been disappointed since. The atmosphere is nice, but seems like there is staffing problems. Should notify a person if they will be going to a new massage therapist.

Went here for our 20th anniversary to get pampered. We had read some of the reviews. The good n bad. Someone will have a bad time once in awhile. NOT US. They treated us like royalty. We were met a front desk by 2 wonderful ladies who showed us where to go. Sauna first, hot tub n than 80 minute massage. Awesome. We highly recommend here. Went for pedicure & it l lasted 1 week then polish peeled. $55 for 1 week. Feet weren't that softly manicured & water in bowl wasn't even warm. Not sure I will return. Nice people but might look elsewhere.

Horrible! Horrible! experience As soon as I walk through interior door, a foul-smelling gas heat my face. It was coming from a bathroom area and spreading though all salon. Whether bathroom was not clean, or that place has problem with ventilation, but disgusting smell made my stay at the salon unpleasant. Until the rest of the day that smell never left me and made me nauseous. My hairdresser chopped my hair so badly! This morning I look like a new born chicken just coming out of egg; my curls are sticking out all different directions, now I have to wear hat to work for next 2 weeks at list. You'd think that a place of this "caliber" would have customer service second to none... well that's the furthest from the truth for this place. My gorgeous Wife got a gift card for Mother's Day this past May and was finally able to schedule an appointment to get her hair cut and colored. Through a family member she was referred to the services of a stylist named Cookie who she made the appointment with. Upon arrival she stated that she was there for a cut and color with Cookie, in which they told her that she had been switched to someone else (normally this would be an okay occurrence if it was busy, but when she asked why and said that she was referred to him and would like him to work on her hair, they rudely responded with no explanation). After getting settled in with her very unkempt stylist Pete, he did nothing but insult her. She was very uncomfortable with him to begin with, but he didn't help his cause by basically making fun of her hair. Mind you, this is a very well put together woman who takes care of herself but rarely has time to treat herself to things like this. Then when showing him what type of cut she wanted, he basically scoffed at what she was showing him and said that he didn't like it. She is the type of person who rarely complains but felt the need to say something yesterday. So when the manager was called and my Wife plead her displeasure to them, she was told that they didn't know what they could do for her and didn't even apologize. Her hair was cut horribly and she walked out with no color. For what this place claims that they are, and the actual type of "luxurious" services they provide couldn't be a further distance apart from each other. This was a very easy situation to rectify and make better, but every party involved did the exact opposite....

The atmosphere is amazing here and we actually experienced great service with the front desk. I want to give five stars, but unfortunately have been twice and both times, something was wrong. The first time, my friend and I requested to get services together at the same time and did not. The second, we requested deep tissue massages and were given relaxation massages. This place is a joke! They try to turn cheap into luxury. Everything there you could get yourself and do better. They upcharge for everything and it is not worth your time and money. Not only did I go there, I worked there for two days and Stephanie was so cheap she wouldn't pay me! 2 days! What is that? $20? If they can't even pay people who worked for them then they are not worth your time! Try a better spa where you can actually get your moneys worth! HA.

Pretty place, the services were minimal for the price. I wanted a therapeutic massage, but instead got a fluff and buff (no pressure, too much oil, no easing of any sort of muscle tension). I only booked the place because they offered a couples massage and were open later than 5PM. I will not go back. I have been to spas across the country and I can't think of one where the massage was that bad.

Don’t buy gift cards!! Mine did not specify any expiration but when I called to verify my balance, was told it “wasn’t coming up in their system” and they expire after two years. DECEPTIVE PRACTICES!! So now I’m out $80 that was left on the card. Horrible service. The "stylists" have no experience. The up do I requested was simple. After 90 minutes of trying to do the look, the stylist enlisted others to help, but none of them could complete a simple up do. They failed at providing the service and then overcharged for such service. This was for my wedding, which I was almost late to because I had to fix my own hair. No manager ever responded and nobody bothered to apologize for my bad experience. I also had a massage there which was also sub par, but better than the hair services. They are extremely overpriced for the services the offer and provide. The staff needs more experience to charge those prices. The massage therapist was very light handed and I had to keep requesting more pressure, AWKWARD.

I did the eye life and massage. The eye lift was very painful, I dont think the lady knew what she was doing on the eye lift. It was not relaxing, there was nothing about nourishing or hydrating my fragile eye area. DO NOT GET IT DONE. Such a waste of time and money. When I think of a Spa, I think of relaxation, right... Well this is not the place for that. I was stressed out the entire time I was there, with my face being in pain and an awful cold massage-- I did the Lava Hot Rock Massage..... Nothing hot about it.

I'vm 47 and I've been coming here monthly for 15 years, mostly for haircuts and color but other spa services too (mani/pedi and deep tissue massage). I have never been disappointed. It's a gracious experience every time and their staff is highly competent.

I'm really torn about this place. It has a great atmosphere and certain services I received were spectacular, such as the sauna room and mani/pedi, that's why it gets 3 stars and not 2. However, each time I've been for a massage I've left super disappointed. On my most recent trip there the girl didn't even touch my arms or the back of one leg... So much for a full body massage! AND they charged $100 for it. After each facial I've looked in the mirror and have seen large areas where the mask wasn't away completely. Maybe it's just the technicians I've had each time, but I'm not going back.

I loved working here, great environment, wonderful staff, and a very soothing and welcoming atmosphere. Great career starter for me, I loved the hard working staff and how we all looked out after one another and how much I was able to learn. The cleanest salon I have been in, the most prepared salon, and training is the most amazing thing. Nicole the Vice President took her time out of her days to train me the right way and make sure I know all the ins and outs, ups and downs. Wonderful teacher and manager. The staff always make people comfortable with bright smiles , wonderful service and great attitudes.

I always feel pampered and taken care of. If I have questions or am unsure they have been patient and helpful which I appreciate because I'm anxiety prone and it is very hard for me to relax. You definitely need to plan ahead with your reservations at least a week in advance.

Two weeks ago. I went in for a facial with Nikki and had a wonderful experience. The spa is beautiful and relaxing. The staff is caring and attentive. In the past I've had massages as well. I always make sure I buy my wife gift cards for services there. She enjoys it as much as I do. And she always has Melissa cut and style her hair. A true professional! Thank you Spa West!

Pretty picky with haircuts, so I wasn't sure about trying a new stylist here. Had my hair cut and styled by Melissa, she did an awesome job. Definitely recommend. Would give 5 stars, but when I went to pay with my gift card, I was told that I couldn't tip my stylist with cash from the gift card. Called in to speak with a manager about it, and he was able to charge the full amount to my gift card, although he didn't seem too happy about it. Hopefully full amount does go toward stylist.

I do NOT recommend Spa West. The front desk mixed up my appointment time. I asked to speak to the manager, but nothing was done to fix the issue. I was treated like an inconvenience, and I did not feel appreciated as a customer. There are many other nice salons and spas. I will find somewhere else to go that appreciates me as a customer.

I visited Spa West three times. During the first two visits, I went by myself for a massage, manicure and pedicure. The services were wonderful, and I really liked the calming atmosphere of the spa. Since I had two great experiences with Spa West, I decided to book appointments for my bridal party. My bridal party consisted of 4 girls, plus my future mother-in-law. I booked the appointments for massages, manicures and pedicures 3 months prior to my wedding. I called the week before my wedding to confirm my appointments. Somehow, they had our appointments scheduled at 1pm, instead of 11am. I understand mistakes happen, but we absolutely had to have the 11am start or we would have been late to our ceremony rehearsal! Our schedules were not flexible, which is why I booked the appointments 3 months in advance. I called the manager of Spa West, Nicole, and forwarded the email I had that confirmed the 11am start time. While Nicole never admitted they made a mistake, she did apologize and politely informed me that the girl who booked my appointments no longer works at Spa West. Nicole was also able to rearrange our appointments, and she reassured me that our group would stay together throughout our visit. I told Nicole it was important to me to keep the group together. Nicole also told me she would be at the spa during our visit, and she would check-in to see how we were doing. I thought the problem was resolved... Unfortunately, nothing happened like Nicole had said. And Nicole was NOT there to greet us like she said she would. I was separated from my girls for most of the day. My sister who was my Matron of Honor was sitting in the Relaxation Room for 45 minutes BY HERSELF, while the rest of us were getting manicures. They also started our messages at different times, so we were not able to enjoy the sauna together. One of my bridesmaids wasn't even taken to the sauna! The technicians obviously didn't know we were there with a group and that we were a BRIDAL PARTY. Also, one of the technicians ripped one of my bridesmaid's cuticles so badly she was bleeding. IT WAS TERRIBLE. I was so upset after our visit that my fiance called and asked to speak to the manager or the owner of Spa West. He left a message, but NO ONE called him back. I will NEVER go back to Spa West. Spa West is expensive, and it SICKENS me that I had to pay for such bad treatment. I trusted Spa West to take care of us for MY WEDDING, but I left the spa more stressed than before the appointment. I am SO disappointed.

I felt discrimminated against, I had two interviews there about a month ago, I have a managing cosmetology lincese as well as an Esthitican's lincese, my second interview was with a women by the name of Kim she told me she had just started working there throughout the interview we talked about the usual she then asked me about my hair color I currently have mermaid hair, I also have two facial piercings and a tattoo on my left wrist, she tells me she isn't sure about the dress code cause she's new, but asked if I was willing to change my hair color to a natural color I said I would, I said I was also willing to take out my facial piercings and cover the tattoo, I was told I would receive a phone call to set up a practical, never happened, I saw the post for the esthitican position a week later, I felt I was lied to, decieved, and discriminated against because of my hair, piercings, and tattoo, the fact the interviwer had no idea about the dress code, I would also like to see this "dress code" If I was denied the position because of that I have legal rights, I even messaged Jake to find out what happened I never received a reply at least have the curtisy to let me know what I did wrong and maybe try hiring and educating your staff before they conduct interviews I have legal rights and will act accordingly apparently you also didn''t look over my resume I have several licenses and qualifications am also looking for an employee who is willing to pay me what am worth I also have 6 years experience as well as a cosmetologist and as an esthtician, not a good fit? YOUR LOSS!!!!!!

Extremely disappointed!! I booked an appointment for a special mother/daughter day two weeks in advance, and the receptionist logged it for the wrong day. Glad I called to check on the appointment only to find out the error. Sadly... won't be able to experience this type of special treat... :(

I booked months in advance a Spa Mani and Pedi, an ESPA massage and an intense facial for myself and my mom for her 50th birthday/ my mothers day gift to myself. I called a week prior to confirm that everything was good to go. The person on the other end of the phone rattled off our services and said everything was good. The day prior to our services they called with a reminder and said we were only scheduled for a massage and facial when I explained I had confirmed a week ago for the 4 services the girl just said Oh sorry about the mix up... I just let it go at that point, but called later to speak with a manager when I had more time. She was conveniently unavailable.... I left a message.. I tried again a few hours later and left another voicemail, still nothing. Day of the services she was also unavailable and was left another message, and again the following day. I've still never heard back. Also the skin on my nose and around my nose started flaking several days after the facial.. I've never had my skin do that. I wasn't overly impressed with my massage either.. I have been here sooooo many times previously and convinced my mom to ignore the bad reviews that they have always been wonderful. I was wrong, and I will never be back.
