Great Spa!

The inexperienced staff made my day at the spa less than expected. I have been at this spa numerous times but this time was nothing as the others. The hot stone massage started with a cold table, and the staff said ‘I hope you like this odor’ after smearing it on my body-never asked if I wanted any smell. The facial was only ok, she was just trying to get to the next client. My pedicure was okay but my toenails were never shortened. Now that I am back home I’m going to get another pedicure to repair the neglected nails. I am returning to pinehurst next month and I am looking for another spa in the area! The helping staff is well trained and kind. They are there to help clients find their way through the facility.

My friend and I had facials yesterday at the spa by Kristi and she did an absolutely amazing job! We both agreed that it was the best facial we'd ever had. My face is still glowing! Pinehurst Spa always takes good care of you, but this was an extra special experience.

The staff is incredibly accommodating, friendly and personable! The services and personal touch provided make this spa well worth the money. Cathy was an excellent masseuse! Although my lunch was 45 minutes late, Mary made sure that I was taken care of and satisfied. I highly recommend a day at the Spa at Pinehurst!!

I hate to leave a bad review but I would also hate for anyone to have what happened to me happen to them. I went in for a cut and color - the color was great and I have no complaints there. However, I asked for a trim only for the cut as I have been growing my hair out for a couple years. I left with a curly blowout that looked fine, however the next day I was shocked and horrified when I washed my hair as I realized I had chunks of my hair all around that were chin length and totally not blended with the rest of my hair. I went in to another salon to see what could be salvaged and left with a long bob barely to my shoulders - I had to have 8 inches cut off to fix it! I was super disappointed and upset and hate having my hair this short. The spa manager was gracious and did refund my hair cut cost which I appreciated, I just wish I hadn't have had to have this cut.

Don’t be afraid to specify your needs with your masseuse. The spa environment was relaxing and having access to the sauna, steam room, and hot tub/pool was nice. Freshly made smoothies were a plus!

Nail person instead of using cuticle softener and pushing cuticles back, she cut my skin (painful) x 4 as she cut my cuticles...Cut nails almost down to nothing instead of shaoing. They use the communal bubbling foot bath despite knowing how nasty those are. When asked to use towel wraps instead, they did so reluctantly. Reception, at end, rude and bluntly said they were closing an hour early so no time to relax or use steam or sauna...despite having told me they were open longer on the phone. Not worth the money..

The facility is really nice, but the massage was the worst massage I have ever gotten. I was told I had to get a massage that they had the best in the state, it was a waste of my money. I really have had better massages at the $55 chain places everywhere. She went so fast and quick over me I felt like a baby that was trying to be lotioned up after a bath. It was not relaxing at all. My spouse can give a better massage that what i got there. I highly suggest that you don't waste you money and go somewhere else that is considerably less expensive and you will get a better more relaxing one. The money was not the issue at all, I have paid way more for massages in other states and countries and I wouldn't pay $20 for what I got at Pinehurst, it wasn't worth it. Don't fall for the hype, save your money and go somewhere else. I mentioned this to a local and they agreed, they said the staff has to complete so many specific motions in a specific amount of time that is why is seems so fast. I actually looked at the clock to see if I was there the full amount of time. I am a fair person and will give the best review ever for services or products that I feel are worth it. I pay compliments when they are due but I also will give a poor review when necessary because I don't want someone else to waste their money and time.

I felt the spa was amazing and relaxing. I had wonderful massage. I just wish was 60 minutes instead of 50 minutes. The place was packed today but was amazing. I got deep tissue massage.

Just okay. The grounds are well kept. Inside was okay. Crowded inside, trash and abandoned towels everywhere in the pool area, which also had a heavy chlorine smell. Not a very large relaxation/quiet room. Massage felt rushed and the masseuse was pretty clunky with everything and kept coughing. Went with a friend and we didn’t spend too much time there. Wouldn’t recommend as a day spa or for a massage. Maybe a facial. Front desk was difficult. One lady who greeted us was really nice, the other was not. Kept making excuses for everything like it was our problem that she had to work.

Phenomenal place. You have access to everything gor the entire day with a treatment. The whirlpool was great as was the pool, sauna and steam room. Lunch was brought to us poolside from The Carolina Hotel and the complimentary smoothies that just kept appearing were awesome. 5 star treatment for sure. Maybe even 10 stars.

My husband and I came to Pinehurst with a group of friends for the weekend. While we were there, I treated myself to a body scrub at the spa and it was incredible. I could have spent the entire day lounging there -- the spa environment is super relaxing and the staff was courteous, friendly and helpful. Really nice getaway for the weekend. Super convenient from where we live in Raleigh, too. Will definitely be returning soon!

Worst spa experience I’ve had. Crowded, noisy, wet robes everywhere, not enough chairs, cups and trash everywhere. Front desk staff seemed annoyed at me because their facility was so noisy she couldn’t hear me talk. No space to sit and relax with friends. Shower area and locker room space a little too open. Massage felt a little rushed and abrupt. Masseuse was sick and kept coughing. Bed wasn’t heated and room was a little chilly. Pool smelled like chlorine and private jacuzzi area was also stuffy and smelled like chlorine. We didn’t have any of those smoothies other people mention. The products in the locker room were mislabeled. There were piles of linens in the restroom.

The massage was very relaxing and enjoyable. I would give my massage therapist 5 stars, my husband's was good but not enough pressure and he felt let down. The highlight of the coed space was the hot tub. The space however was so bright that the relaxation space was no longer there. Also, having the full size window looking into the entry space and with others able to look in takes away from the serenity I would expect to get in a spa. The locker rooms were nice, loved having all the bathing products available, including a razor. It was a nice space, just has lots of room for improvement. Highlight was the smoothie.

Grounds are beautiful. Entire place has beautiful characters BUT, the rooms was dirty. An inch of dust behind the alarm clock, a dried contact lens on bathroom floor, splashed toothpaste or shaving cream on frame of bathroom mirror. Nothing major but makes me wonder what else wasn't cleaned. Even the little table had dirty wet rag marks on it.
