I recommend this spa if you're ever in need for a relaxing day. I enjoyed their relaxation lounge and having lunch by their pool. The staff is absolutely friendly and attentive. You don't even have to have a service done you can just pay to spend the day in the facility. That's what I did and I loved it!

I LOVE this place and happily rate Spa Botanica a 5 out of 5! As a client for over 4 years, my experiences and services for hair, facials, massage and nails have been nothing less than outstanding! The staff is friendly, professional and knowledgable, and great at recommendations. They cater to their clients and go out of their way to make the visit relaxing and memorable. I've ordered some amazing food items from the hotel restaurant and had delivered to the spa pool area. Talk about a day of pampering and relaxation! that you Spa Botanica for always providing a delightfully positive experience. Keep it up!

I went for a spa day with some friends and the services were great very nice employees. Massage was just fantastic for my first massage i will definitely return for another. Only thing I didn't like was I couldn't get acrylic nails, which is OK, and I spent little to no time with my friends. We were all somewhere different and they traded us around as they finished. Wished they had a few more employees so we could've been getting our services done together instead of 1 after the other. Other then that every one was very friendly. Looking to go for spa week.

We had a girls day at the spa (bachelorette party) - the technicians were super friendly and treated us like royalty, and offered us free champagne. They offer a private pool area (quiet & peaceful) and public pool which we chose the public to lounge, giggle and sip bubbly. The only drawback being... The food took sometime to get out pool side - then staff removed our food while we went to bathroom without asking. When we mentioned we didn't appreciate it - they brought out all new entrees, which made us very happy!

They never answer the phone. Who has time to leave a message and wait for a call back at a time convenient for them.

My cousin and I booked appointments at the spa at this hotel for spa week. We made the reservations over a month in advance. When they called the day before our appointments as a reminder, the appointments were incorrect. They were not able to fix them the way they should have been, but did manage to find something we could live with even thought it meant getting there much earlier than we wanted. On the day of the appointments, we were in the car driving there when they called and cancelled one of out appointments. They were not able to book anything else that day that would work for us and did not offer to have us come at another day for the same price or anything at all to try to appease us. I would never even try to go back here - they are clearly not dependable, and they have a really bad attitude for a spa.

DO NOT COME HERE FOR THE SPA! The hotel itself deserves at least 4 stars. Comfy rooms with patios, and the staff is extremely friendly and service oriented. I especially have to give props to the valet parking guys for being so friendly and offering cold bottled water at every encounter during the hot summer heat. Now onto the so called "SPA." Horrible! If you are going to have "Hotel & Spa" in your advertised name and charge $125+ for a 50 minute (not even a full hour) massage, try to make sure it is worthy. Here... it is not! Worst massage I ever had (and I have been to many resorts). The "masseuse" did nothing but rub our extremities and plead for gratuities based on their familial situation and personal monetary needs. NO relaxing music, NO cold or hot plunges. NO amenities except a nasty steam room in which you can catch any desired disease you want. Ugh... waste of money even with a Groupon or whatever else they offer you to entice you to this poorly run joke of a "SPA." Shame on parent company Marriott for letting this shameful "SPA" exist with "massage therapists" who I doubt are even certified to practice. I would guess they just hired these people based out of need, and not on their ability to make people relaxed and perform qualified massages. And the facilities.... well a so-called "Relaxation Room" does not a "SPA" make. Anyways, besides that whole rant... great hotel and awesome location in Glendale, Arizona next to the football stadium. If they just improve their "SPA" and/or remove it from their name so as not to mislead the public, I would give a more positive review.

The "50 minute" facial and scalp massage was the worst facial I've ever had. The woman administering it didn't do the scalp massage that was supposed to be included and instead of the upper body massage, rubbed my shoulders for maybe two minutes and left me laying on the table with my eyes covered for what was conservatively ten minutes. She picked me up late and let me out early for what ended up being a 35 minute facial. My friend was getting one at the same time and had a full upper body massage (as was supposed to be included), a scalp massage, an eye and lip treatment, etc. that my woman didn't do at all, and hers also lasted the whole 50 minutes. I was also asked if I used any facial products and when I described what I used and said I didn't need any, she asked if it was because I liked the way the sun damage looked. I complained to the front desk and was not taken seriously. In addition, our appointments were at 4 after which we were planning to enjoy the amenities until 7 when they close. When we got there they told us they were having their carpets cleaned and would be closing at 5. No apologies, no remorse, no professionalism at all. Super disappointing. Don't go there.

My wife and I did the 80 minute Couples Deep Tissue massage and it was phenomenal. Mackenzie and Shanik were great, I actually couldn’t stay awake it so relaxing. Any spots where I had tension or knots my wife and I both thought they worked them out without just grinding their knuckles into our backs. I would definitely recommend the experience. I’ve had massages and at many places and this was by far the best!

I loved my 50 minute massage at Spa Botanica. Right when you walk in you are greeted and welcomed right away into the relaxation room. My massage therapist’s flow and transitions during the massage was perfect. She used different strokes and was very knowledgeable about how to alleviate my neck and shoulder pain. Her communication and professionalism was the best I have ever had. Spa Botanica is THE premiere full service spa in the West Valley. To top off the best massage I have ever had, the bathrooms and changing area was very clean and organized. I will come back and recommend Spa Botanica to anybody who wants a fantastic massage at a great price.

I thought I'd treat myself to my first pedicure in a long while. I've regretted it since the moment I sat in the chair. I probably should have just walked out, but I thought I'd give it a try. Let me outline what went wrong - starting first with our appointment and moving on to my conclusion that Spa Botanica does not hire experienced staff - at least for their salon. My tech's name was Emily. To start, their foot bath is mobile, so it sort of sloshed until Emily remembered to put the brake on. Then, much to my surprise, Emily informed me that she "couldn't" cut my toenails at all because they'd get ingrown and she just couldn't risk it. Now, I have very short nail beds and I've been getting ingrown nails my whole life; it's not a big deal to me because I know how to manage them. So she just didn't cut them. Then she jabbed at my cuticles with all the force of the great typhoon (there's a little chunk of skin missing from just below my left big toenail). She was very apologetic that massage and callus filing caused me to laugh a bit, as it tickled - so she just didn't do it much, though I assured her I didn't mind and wanted it done well. The final part of the spa pedicure treatment involved a scrub, a mask, and a lotion. She barely scrubbed - again because she knew I was ticklish. The mask barely went on before it was washed off. And she was very nervous about lotions of any kind because I noted on the form that I'm allergic to a lot of florals. Finally, came "the fun part." I'd been forced to pick a color the moment I walked into the room; no relaxation, no suggestions, nothing. Just "There are the colors." "Oh, do you want me to pick one now?" "Yeah." Now, as a person who takes ten minutes to pick out lunch at a diner and who hasn't gotten a professional pedicure in five years and was really excited, this was the beginning of my discomfort. But again, I gave it a shot. Anyway, she THEN asked if I had any other shoes than the ones I'd walked in wearing. I looked at my wristlet purse and answered in the negative. "Oh, do those sandals hit your pinky toe?" They, in fact, do. "Well, that's okay, I'm going to use a quick dry base and top coat, so it should only take fifteen minutes or so to dry." Then she painted them. I hated the color, but at this point, I just wanted to get out as fast as I could. She ASKED if I wanted a second coat of color. After she'd done it, she got the bright idea to use a long-lasting top coat with hardening agents in it. Five minutes later, she decided I was done drying and went to put my sandal on my foot. "Are you sure it's dry? They usually take a lot longer." "Oh, no, with shimmer in it, they dry fast." She smudged my big toenail ALL to heck. We had to redo. Then she realized that maybe they weren't dry and the epic search for pedicure flip flops ensued over. I kid you not, she wanted me to walk out of there up the hill to MY hotel five minutes later. No freakin' way. After all that, I was going to have dry toenails. So the point of this is that I'm definitely not an expert, but I dabble in nail art and do my own mani/pedis at home most of the time. I knew that my polish wasn't dry - she should have, too. If I can "take the risk" of cutting my nails - she could have, too. If someone tells you you're hurting them, don't keep doing things the way you're doing them - ask what you're doing wrong and take some direction. Although Emily, is leaving within the next two weeks, I believe this lack of professionalism and expertise shows a fundamental problem with Spa Botanica's hiring salon staff. She was a nice enough person, but I don't go for a pedicure to chat. Anyway, I have to get going so I can cut my toenails, thus ruining the only thing that turned out halfway decently from the whole experience - the polish job. I now have a few toenails that are LITERALLY half white growth.

The wife and I went in for our anniversary. The ladies that did our massages were excellent! The atmosphere was relaxing also! The young lady at the receptionist desk even went out of here way to HAND make a small goodie bag for us!! We will definitely be coming back next time we are in town! Thank you ladies!!

Amanda Gardner

Great atmosphere, very clean and relaxing. The massage and facial were amazing. The delux manicure and 50 min pedicure were not worth the money though. Nail salons do a much better job with the nails and exfoliating. I will definitely return for massage services. Added note, the day after the facial my entire face was covered in bumps and peeling. My skin was a mess for over a week. The massage was great wouldn't do any of the rest again!
