this spa is amazing! I came here a 30 mins massage and changed my mind to get a 45 body and then a 30 mins foot massage for $65! The massage therapist Leo was AMAZING!! he did some funky thing with his feet on my back and I never had that before but let me tell you......☺️☺️

Despite informing my masseuse that she was causing me pain with certain moves, I ended up leaving with bruises on my back and unable to comfortably lay down for days after. It is a good price for what you get, which is a lot more than I was expecting. I didn't know I'd get a full head to toe massage as well as hot stones. For the price I'd definitely go again, but with a different masseuse.

Not your typical budget massage parlor- they nailed it for the ambiance and quality here. They have great choices and right off canal Street makes for a more dynamic sense of relaxation. My friend and I did a combination and the massages were great. What we both complained about was the residue after the treatments (because they do not wipe you down like typical massage parlors) and the noise level from unfamiliar clients who walk in and not realize it is an open floor space which distrupts the peace. Also, there were strange noises through the walls, so I am not sure what connects with this building, but they are at a basement level which protects it from hearing much of the outside noise.

I was in heaven in this place located in China town, lower Manhattan. As soon as you walk in you are serenaded with traditional therapeutic music. Staff very friendly. Booths are so professionally set up to detox your body to a peaceful healing setting. It is worth the money! Will be back there soon.

I’m writing this review on behalf of a friend. Her experience was ok until the masseuse claimed that her back was very sore and told her that he needed more time to work out the knots. He also mentioned this while she was face down and couldn’t really understand what he was saying. Although my friend said ok tentatively, they ended up charging her $30 extra without her knowledge that it would cost more, and then hounded her about how much she would tip at the completion of the massage. This looked like a clear example of a business trying to get more money by taking advantage of someone in a vulnerable position. I would highly caution anyone from going here, as I have also seen Groupon reviews saying that they charge people random fees after the massage unbeknownst to their customers. Seems as if you get what you pay for at this place and a little more than what one would want. Hope this helps!

If you are looking for a relaxing spa experience do not go here. It is located in a cold basement below a gym with thin walls. You will hear banging, thumping and loud abrupt noises during your services. I do not recommend this spa.

My friend and I were passing by back to our hotel from a four day girls weekend. Our feet had literally tracked 30 miles for our stay. We were treated so kindly and hospitable. The massages on our feet were perfect and affordable. We would have done the full body if we had time. I wish I could go every week!! I would if I lived in NYC.

Excellent massage by Jason in a friendly, clean, inviting atmosphere. The price for this level of care is usually at least double what Spa Mai charges. I will be back.
