Great, no frills massage place. Clean pleasant place with incredibly affordable prices. My wife and I have been to a number of massage places in NYC. This tops the charts as the best near our place in Chelsea, and probably in all of the city, for a few reasons: 1) Great prices, and 2) Great massage therapists. My wife likes strong deep tissue massages and has had trouble at many other, even high-end, places because the therapists aren't strong enough. Here, they are all very strong and can do deep tissue massages. I like a more relaxing, semi-deep-tissue massage. Lily is great for that, she can vary up her technique well and customize. One tip -- not all of the massage therapists speak English well, so tell them up front what you'd like. If you get Jay or Lily, they both speak well.

I chose to add the neck and shoulders for few dollars more and it was worth it. I felt immediate relief once The massage was done. Thank you. I highly recommend this place.

As a tourist visiting the city, I quickly learned that even the best walking shoes won't subdue the soreness of walking all day. I don't even know how people living in the city do it but I'm guessing massages help. My friends and I came here on a late saturday night almost close to their closing time. Despite our late arrival, the staff welcomed us and stayed past their shift to make sure my friends and I received the best service. They were super friendly and attentive and that made the experience that much better. One guy even missed the last train to Queens that night... so nice of him to stay :) I know how much of a hassle it is to miss the last train :( I got a 20 minute foot massage and my friends did a combination of body and foot. The foot massage was painful but it was a good pain, the kind that leaves you feeling relaxed and better after the whole ordeal. You could tell them if you wanted the massage to be harder or softer. They do listen and make sure you're getting the most out of it. Great service and staff :) They do accept credit card, but if you pay cash you don't have to pay tax. Finding this place might be hard since it's not super obvious. You have to buzz in twice because there are two doors and it's located upstairs. Definitely a great to way to spend the night to feel renewed for the next day!

This was highly recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. Reserving by phone was painless but I did wait a few minutes after I arrived for the masseur to get the ready. He was good at finding all my sore spots and applying the right amount of pressure. The place is small but cozy and quiet. Prices are reasonable, especially given the location of the place. I highly recommend it too!

I usually ask for Linda or Haley, since I know they can really dig in. Everyone is nice and the atmosphere is clean and cozy. At $39 an hour, it's an incredible bargain.

OK it's chaotic OK your experience depends on whom your massage therapist is but still can't beat the price. You can try to book but it won't mean that you'll be taken in at the designated time exactly, and it's not because they hangout around chatting instead of taking you in, they're simply busy working on someone else. Still will return as I was happy with the massage and will definitely try the foot massage.

I got a 60 min massage from Sophia on a Saturday night. It was incredible. She was able to work on my back with plenty of pressure and finesse. I feel great and will be going back soon! The staff from the front desk to the therapists are very kind and professional. The rooms are very clean, perfect temperature and have relaxing music. There is almost no chatter amongst the staff which is a huge plus for me at such a day spa. I highly recommend Renewing Spa for massages.

It's a great massage. But be careful. They pretend not to understand English and then charge you more than agreed upon beforehand and all of a sudden speak perfectly clearly. Unless you are willing to pay more than advertised, try somewhere else.
